Zhang Qingli expressed her love for Zhou Luo, firmly believing in his character. She said if he was determined to protect someone, she would stand with him. Zhou Luo was deeply moved by her words. He had no reason to let down such a good girl, so in the following days, the two got closer and closer. This feedback made Zhang Qingli feel incredibly precious. After the train station incident, Nan Ya returned to Qingshui Town.

The desolate and withered town became lively due to her appearance. She was still beautiful and moving; even the bruises on her neck and mouth were merely decorative embellishments. People on both sides of the street cast their gaze, either curious, sarcastic, or wanting to see what she would become after yesterday, whether she would be in a sorry state, becoming a street rat unable to lift her head. In the middle of the night, Zhou Luo was discovered by Chen Jun while he was alone looking for evidence. Chen Jun accompanied him out of loyalty, and the two went all the way to the collapse site, but soon two cars drove in.

The leading person in charge told everyone that these things must be removed tonight. If they waited for the investigation team, it would definitely be too late, and they absolutely could not let them find any clues. From this, it could be seen that Xu Yi was inseparable from the bridge case. On the surface, he had a falling out with Xu Jian, but behind the scenes, he was doing unspeakable things.

Because there were too many people and it was too conspicuous, Zhou Luo and Chen Jun followed in a car behind them to confirm the location where Liu Changshui and Xu Yi frequently met.

That night, Liu Changshui was burying money in the woods by the river, not yet aware of Xu Yi standing behind him. Xu Yi raised a shovel and killed Liu Changshui with a blow, took the money directly, and dumped the body into a wild lake. On the eighteenth day after the case occurred, Lin Fanglu was still organizing the statements from Chen Jun and the others.

Chen Jun deliberately waited for Zhou Luo to come out of the library, found an excuse to accompany him home, and incidentally talked about the movie he had recently watched, trying to probe his attitude through indirect questioning. However, Zhou Luo appeared very calm. Chen Jun couldn't help but ask him if he had killed someone.
