Zeng Li's mother planned to go back after Zeng Li got her braces on. Zeng Li made an excuse that she still had things to do at the coffee shop. Zeng Li's mother complained that the coffee shop wasn't making money, that a university graduate's dream was to be a librarian and open a coffee shop, that she had no ambition and wasn't looking for a boyfriend. Zeng Li was utterly resigned.
Dou Dou had a class at 10:30 and asked Zeng Li to help her answer roll call. Zeng Li had no choice but to change into a younger-looking outfit and go to the classroom. While casually flipping through a magazine, Ai Jingchu walked into the classroom and announced that Professor Wang had a sudden heart attack and was hospitalized, so he would be teaching all the classes this semester.
Zeng Li quickly pulled her hat down and lowered her head, thinking of a countermeasure. After all, Ai Jingchu knew Dou Dou. Zeng Li wrapped herself up tightly, successfully attracting Ai Jingchu's attention. After being forced to remove two layers of hats, Zeng Li decided to make a quick escape, but unexpectedly, Ai Jingchu told her to sit back down. Zeng Li thought he had prosopagnosia (face blindness), but Ai Jingchu did it on purpose.
Zeng Li listened to Ai Jingchu's lecture with utter resignation. When she was about to run away, Ai Jingchu caught her again and told her to take good notes for him to check after class. Finally, she endured until the end of class. Zeng Li asked Ai Jingchu why he kept her there knowing she wasn't Dou Dou.
Ai Jingchu, however, lectured her that doing this was harming Dou Dou, because being serious about studying medicine affected the life and health of patients. Ai Jingchu told Zeng Li to give the notes to Dou Dou for the next check. Dou Dou thought he should have said this himself, but she was reminded that it was time for her medicine. Ai Jingchu had found Zeng Li's name on the library cards. Was this like saying "I was here"?
The next day, Ai Jingchu came to the library to borrow books. A colleague borrowed Zeng Li's phone to secretly take pictures. Zeng Li could only curse her inwardly for being boy-crazy. Ai Jingchu walked towards Zeng Li. Zeng Li quickly lowered her head and prayed he wouldn't come over, but Ai Jingchu happened to come before her and said he was looking for a book. Zeng Li reluctantly took out her phone to help him search.
Unexpectedly, the page just happened to be the picture her colleague had secretly taken of him earlier. Zeng Li gave a rapid-fire explanation. The colleague brought back some popular snacks and shared them with Zeng Li. Ai Jingchu said her gums were inflamed and she couldn't eat any of these. The book Ai Jingchu was holding, Zeng Li had not yet checked in (added to the system). Ai Jingchu walked out of the library smiling.
A girl gave him a cup of milk tea. Ai Jingchu didn't want to hurt her, so he accepted it and gave it to Zeng Li when he returned, saying it was for her to ice her face. After her live stream ended, Ma Yiyi was scrolling through her Moments on her phone when she accidentally saw a photo.
She immediately rushed to the internet cafe and exposed her boyfriend Zhang Teng, who had lied about being on a business trip. Zhang Teng felt that Ma Yiyi, who ignored him when they weren't together, was more attractive, while Ma Yiyi, who was in love, had become clingy. Zeng Li had written a novel called "Xiao Yu and Little Fish," which had a good reputation, but Zeng Li didn't plan to tell her mother.
Ma Yiyi was a bit stunned by this inexplicable breakup. Deng Hao Ran walked into the coffee shop having just broken up using the same excuse, and was almost beaten up by the three sisters. Zhou Wen was on leave today, so only Ai Jingchu was there. Zeng Li was a bit nervous. He played an anime theme song and, while bonding Zeng Li's braces, told her an anime story. Zeng Li was immersed in Ai Jingchu's gentle voice.
Her braces were bonded quickly, so fast that Zeng Li didn't have time to pull back her thoughts. It was raining. Ai Jingchu decided to drive Zeng Li home. Zeng Li refused, saying they weren't going the same way. Ai Jingchu smiled, remembering their conversation at the bus stop last time, and also asked Zeng Li what NetEase Cloud Music was. After Zeng Li helped him download it, she said goodbye with her hat on and ran off.
Ai Jingchu didn't have time to react. On the bus, Zeng Li listened to the music Ai Jingchu had played earlier and received a large number of points to note from him.
