Ming Tian and Sun Hao were walking together, carrying equipment, when Song Xiaomi unexpectedly appeared. Ming Tian seemed a bit nervous to see her. Song Xiaomi had come specifically for Sun Hao, bringing him lunch, and her words were intentionally intimate, seemingly hoping to make Ming Tian jealous. Sun Hao recalled Song Xiaomi tearfully confiding in him about her heartbreak the night before, and he believed that with her strong will, she would eventually win Ming Tian over.
Later, Ming Tian learned that both Cheng Yanan and Song Xiaomi had failed their English exams and were feeling lost about the re-exam in three days. He offered to tutor them. Upon hearing that Ming Tian would be helping Song Xiaomi, Fang Yu felt a pang of jealousy. While in class, Fang Yu found herself daydreaming about Ming Tian tutoring her, becoming so lost in thought that she didn't respond when her teacher called her name.
Despite her efforts to intentionally answer questions incorrectly in her exam, hoping to fail and thus have a reason for Ming Tian to tutor her, she received a perfect score, much to her frustration. After class, as she passed by Ming Tian's classroom, she saw him tutoring Song Xiaomi and Cheng Yanan, which made her even more upset.
She returned home angrily to confront Fang Zhou, who explained that he had simply tidied up her messy homework and corrected her answers, finding her anger perplexing. With Sun Hao's help, Song Xiaomi gradually remembered many English words, and their bond visibly grew warmer. Meanwhile, Fang Yu went to Ming Tian's part-time car wash job to help him finish early, so he could go tutor Cheng Yanan and Song Xiaomi.
At the martial arts school, Song Xiaomi and Cheng Yanan were waiting for Ming Tian to arrive for their tutoring session, but to their surprise, Ming Tian arrived with Fang Yu, which stirred jealousy in Song Xiaomi. Fang Yu then produced the decorative apples that Luo Guanyan had used during his confession, a sight that caused Cheng Yanan to immediately retreat into a tent.
Cheng Yanan was still troubled, worrying that Luo Guanyan might be expelled from Zhiying, and considered messaging him. However, when Ming Tian called out to her, she unintentionally sent a voice message to Luo Guanyan, which contained her complaints about him and her newfound aversion to apples. Luo Guanyan listened to the message and laughed heartily. Later, Cheng Yanan expressed her continued frustration, admitting that Fang Yu's teasing about the apples and Luo Guanyan had gotten to her.
At the Fang Corporation, Fang Yu's grandfather praised her meticulously prepared proposal. He expressed his desire for her to join the company's Planning Department immediately. Fang Yu was confused, reminding him of their prior agreement that she would only enter the company after graduating from university.
Her grandfather reiterated the urgency, stating his need for talented individuals like her to assist Manager Liu and reminding her of Fang Zhou's early responsibilities and her own past promise to help out when she had time. He emphasized that being part of a powerful family came with great responsibility and destiny. Despite her reservations, Fang Yu had to yield to her grandfather's command.
She agreed to his terms, learning that Fang Zhou would soon travel to Hong Kong for a finance meeting, and she would be heading to Dubai. Ming Tian felt a sense of emptiness and the days at school seemed bland since Fang Yu's absence. He even experienced a vivid hallucination of her running alongside him, offering advice, only for her to playfully vanish.
Later, Song Xiaomi excitedly announced that both she and Cheng Yanan had successfully passed their re-exams, though with low scores. Sun Hao and others congratulated them. Cheng Yanan, however, was upset by her low score and wanted to retake the exam, but Song Xiaomi and Sun Hao reassured her that passing was what mattered.
To celebrate their success and thank everyone for their help, they decided to go to an amusement park together and invited Ming Tian to bring Ming Zhu and Ming Lang. Ming Tian asked if Fang Yu would be joining them, to which Song Xiaomi curtly replied that it had nothing to do with him. Meanwhile, Fang Yu, despite her demanding schedule at the company, longed to return to Zhengze for combat training. Her brother, Fang Zhou, understood her sentiments perfectly.
He confided in her that he had already planned for her to return to Zhengze once their grandfather traveled abroad. He preferred seeing her in athletic clothes, happily boxing, rather than in formal attire with a perpetually sour expression. Fang Yu acknowledged his observation, affirming that the powerful, athletic queen was her true self.
That evening, Song Xiaomi was preparing stir-fried noodles at Ming Tian's home when Ma Yichen and a group of his companions arrived, shouting for Ming Tian to come out. Song Xiaomi and Cheng Yanan confronted them, refusing to let them disturb Ming Tian. Just then, Fang Yu arrived. Song Xiaomi mockingly declared that Ma Yichen had just offended the "MMA Queen" and was in for trouble.
Fang Yu clarified that while Zhengze Academy's rules prohibit initiating fights outside of school, Ma Yichen's group had brought weapons and threatened Ming Tian's home, making their actions self-defense. Song Xiaomi urged them to finish the fight quickly before Ming Tian returned. Fang Yu warned Ma Yichen that if anything happened to Ming Tian or his siblings, she would ensure "terrible things" happened to him. Intimidated, Ma Yichen and his group quickly fled.
Fang Yu then told Song Xiaomi and Cheng Yanan to keep the incident a secret from Ming Tian. When Ming Tian returned, he found everyone gathered and asked if something was amiss. Song Xiaomi feigned nonchalance, claiming they were just there for free food, while Cheng Yanan urged everyone to hurry up and eat. Fang Yu offered Ming Tian some meat, and he thanked her. As they continued their dinner, Fang Yu and Ming Tian had a private conversation.
Fang Yu explained that she had visited him at the company to thank him for coming to see her earlier, not expecting to find everyone else there. Ming Tian admitted he had hoped she came to announce her availability for the amusement park trip, stating that Ming Zhu and Ming Lang really wanted her to join. Fang Yu then asked about his own wishes, and Ming Tian, after a brief pause, confirmed that he, too, hoped she could come.
Fang Yu explained that she could only return to school once her grandfather went abroad, and that in the future, she might have to be absent from school for weeks at a time due to company commitments, but she would never give up her education. Ming Tian understood. The following Sunday, Fang Yu's driver, Uncle Zhao, took a different route than usual.
When Fang Yu questioned him, he revealed that Fang Zhou had instructed him to take her to the amusement park instead of the company. Fang Zhou had even prepared a change of clothes for her, texting her to confirm if he was a "wonderful brother." Back at the Fang Group, Fang Zhou was surprisingly hosting the meeting on the Project Department Personnel Structure Readjustment, much to the surprise of the attendees, as Fang Yu was expected to lead it.
Fang Yu, now smiling, realized Fang Zhou's cleverness and mused about changing her password. At the amusement park, Ming Zhu and Ming Lang were eagerly asking about Fang Yu's arrival. Song Xiaomi, Cheng Yanan, and Sun Hao were ready to enter, assuming Fang Yu wouldn't show up. Just as they were about to go in, Fang Yu called out to them. Ming Zhu and Ming Lang excitedly greeted her.
Fang Yu apologized for being late, explaining that her usual clothes were unsuitable for the amusement park, hence her different attire, which Sun Hao complimented. As they enjoyed the park, Sun Hao proposed that after playing on the children's rides, it was time for the older students to choose some attractions. Ming Tian admitted he was scared of heights and offered to stay behind with Ming Zhu and Ming Lang to watch their bags.
Fang Yu also claimed to be afraid of heights and offered to stay with him. While Song Xiaomi wanted Ming Tian to ride the roller coaster with her, Cheng Yanan intervened and suggested that Fang Yu and Ming Tian go explore together instead. With no other options, Ming Tian and Fang Yu left together, leaving Sun Hao to care for the two younger children and their belongings, while Song Xiaomi and Cheng Yanan went on the ride. Meanwhile, Fang Zhou continued to preside over the company meeting.
