Luo Ning informs He Na that she has decided to return to the Immortal Palace with Liu Shao, explaining that immortals and demons should not be together, and wishes to sever ties with Fu. Fu vehemently disagrees, sarcastically suggesting she might imprison or kill him. Fu then confronts Liu Shao, accusing her of manipulating Luo Ning and opportunistically relying on He Na.

He reveals to Liu Shao that He Na's right arm was crippled while saving her from the furnace, not from a minor injury, causing Liu Shao distress. He further taunts He Na, implying He Na is incapable of retaining a woman, just as he seemingly failed to retain Luo Ning who once favored him.

As Luo Ning prepares to leave, Fu offers her a demon energy pearl containing a thread of his spirit, explaining it can be used to summon him or even inflict pain upon him. Luo Ning tests it, causing Fu visible discomfort, before departing. He Na questions Fu's actions, but Fu admits it was a deliberate ploy to allow Luo Ning to vent her anger, believing she still cares for him and will keep the pearl.

He then reveals his true motive: the pearl provides him free access to the Immortal Palace through Luo Ning, allowing him to gather intelligence. He Na warns him against jeopardizing the peace of the Three Realms, but Fu dismisses his brother's concerns. In Palace Chonghua, Shang Yurong and Wansui diligently review ancient texts.

Wansui explains that the Crown Wheel, forged from fragments of the Yao Ling Supreme God's divine spirit and the Three-legged Golden Crow's spiritual water, possesses the power to repel all evil. Meanwhile, Luo Ge senses Liu Shao's return to the Immortal Palace. Liu Shao, bypassing Palace Chonghua, directly seeks out Luo Ning to borrow the Tears of the Half-Demon.

Liu Shao confides in Luo Ning her plan to seal her divine spirit, expressing fear that Luo Ge would suffer if he knew about her hardship beforehand. She implores Luo Ning to keep this a secret from her brother, and Luo Ning, touched by Liu Shao's consideration for Luo Ge, reluctantly agrees. Later, Fu utilizes the demon energy pearl to infiltrate the Immortal Palace, reaffirming his vow to keep Luo Ning bound to him.

He then meets with Black Moonlight, who currently possesses Xie Lingqi. Black Moonlight confirms he retrieved a relic of the God of the Moonlight from the Yin-yang Cave, which he then purified with his remaining power. This relic, originally belonging to Xie Lingqi, has now been transported out of the Immortal Palace by Fu. Black Moonlight warns Fu that Luo Ge will eventually discover his repeated use of Xie Lingqi's artifacts, but Fu remains unconcerned.

Luo Ge, sensing the presence of an evil spirit, swiftly arrives at the Bone Melting Pool. He confronts Black Moonlight, who taunts him by claiming to be a part of Luo Ge himself. Luo Ge, however, easily purges Black Moonlight from Xie Lingqi's body, expressing disdain for the now-useless vessel.

He then questions who took the relic, and Black Moonlight describes the culprit as a woman with a floral scent and a cold, watery touch, leading Luo Ge to suspect Luo Ning. Still sensing a lingering presence of evil spirits, Luo Ge consults Shang Yurong. Shang Yurong suggests the Yin-yang Cave, a forbidden area within the Immortal Palace that his father had sealed to contain minor evil spirits.

Shang Yurong further explains that despite the seal, an excessive disturbance of the Yin-yang Cave's internal evil spirits could cause them to leak from the Four Seasons Monument. He reveals that he was personally wounded by such an evil spirit five hundred years prior, permanently damaging his immortal root. This injury prevents him from ascending to an Immortal, a feat that would otherwise require activating the Xilun Formation.

He reveals that the Xilun Formation, however, demands the sacrifice of an Immortal General or higher, a price he deems too great. Luo Ge presses Shang Yurong, asking why he didn't confide in Zhuo Qiuxuan sooner. Shang Yurong explains that Zhuo Qiuxuan's millennium-long wish was for him to become an Immortal. Fearing she would sacrifice herself by activating the Xilun Formation, he chose to bear the burden alone, enduring her reproaches and punishments rather than revealing the painful truth.

Zhuo Qiuxuan confronts Shang Yurong, expressing her anger at his secrecy regarding his mastery of the Burning Sea. Luo Ge steps in, revealing the full truth of Shang Yurong's injury, his inability to ascend without a sacrifice, and his profound selflessness in protecting her. Overwhelmed by this revelation, Zhuo Qiuxuan is overcome with grief and remorse. Fu provides Bai Feng with a new bottle of spiritual medicine for her eyes, then tasks her with instigating unrest in the mortal world.

Bai Feng expresses skepticism about the Aquatic Demons following her, but Fu assures her he will manage the demon palace, instructing her to simply cause chaos in the mortal realm and await further orders. He cryptically mentions a powerful individual who can "check and balance Luo Ge," suggesting a broader conspiracy. Fu subsequently visits Luo Ning's room, where she has set a trap, ambushing and imprisoning him.

Luo Ning confronts Fu, revealing her knowledge of his manipulative rescue of Bai Feng and his constant deception, including using the demon energy pearl to infiltrate the Immortal Palace under the guise of merely wanting to see her. She denounces his actions as a calculated betrayal, calling the pearl "dirty," and then mercilessly crushes it, causing Fu agonizing pain. She demands he leave the Immortal Palace forever.

Fu, severely weakened, desperately pleads with her, affirming his genuine feelings and begging her to keep the pearl so he can still visit her. Luo Ning, however, remains resolute, threatening to cast him into the Bone Melting Pool if he doesn't comply. Fu realizes that despite her anger, she cannot bring herself to truly harm him, but Luo Ning firmly declares she never wants to see him again.

Severely wounded by the destruction of the demon energy pearl, Fu returns to the Aquatic Demons, lamenting his newfound weakness. He vows to overturn the order of the world and permanently confine Luo Ning within the Aquatic Demon palace. Mr. Tai expresses skepticism, questioning Fu's ability to stand against Luo Ge or even his own brother, He Na.

Fu, however, declares his intention to seize the Demon King's demon energy, which sustains the Aquatic Demon world, believing it will grant him power beyond the current Demon King. He implies He Na is simply too compassionate to wage war. He Na is shown exerting immense effort, using nearly all his demon power, to stabilize the Aquatic Demon territory which is in chaos.

Fu and Mr. Tai, backed by the Aquatic Demon leaders, confront He Na, demanding he agree to declare war on the Immortal Palace. They insist that only by breaking the Four Seasons Monument and releasing the God of the Moonlight can their clan's ancient curse be lifted. He Na attempts to dissuade them, warning that the God of the Moonlight under the monument has been corrupted by evil spirits and would unleash havoc upon the Three Realms.

Despite this, Fu and Mr. Tai, supported by their clan, assert that the Supreme God appeared in a dream and promised to lift their curse upon release, disregarding the potential devastation to the Three Realms. Demons launch a chaotic assault on the mortal world, specifically targeting the Mansion of Wu Yang Duke and its inhabitants, leaving the populace in fear. Luo Ge, sensing a growing disturbance, experiences a foreboding premonition.

Liu Shao rushes to the mortal realm to aid the distressed disciples and civilians. She learns that while Immortal Master Wanwu dispatched help, the disciples have not yet arrived. She also discovers that the Demon King, He Na, has not responded to pleas for assistance due to turmoil within the Aquatic Demon realm. Finding it highly suspicious that both the mortal and demon realms are experiencing simultaneous crises, Liu Shao voices her concerns.

Luo Ge, however, reassures Liu Shao that he has already sent disciples to the Mansion of Wu Yang Duke and dismisses the crisis in the demon world as something the Aquatic Demons typically handle themselves. He instructs her to concentrate on her cultivation, stating he will check the Four Seasons Monument. Despite his insistence, Liu Shao, driven by a strong premonition and concern for He Na, insists on accompanying him.
