After Huang Xinxin moved into the Youfeng Inn, she chatted with Lin Na at night and expressed a different opinion about Xu Hongdou and Xie Zhiyao’s relationship. Lin Na thought that since they had only known each other for two or three months, they would inevitably go their separate ways after parting. However, Huang Xinxin disagreed and revealed that she had a boyfriend teaching in Guizhou. Aunt Baoping and Aunt Guiqin came to play mahjong with Xie Anai.

Everyone deliberately asked what kind of boys Xu Hongdou liked. Xu Hongdou said she preferred boys with fair skin, not the elite type like Xie Zhiyao. Aunt Guiqin revealed that Xie Xiaochun had already arranged a blind date for Xie Zhiyao, but he was very frustrated and complained that Xie Xiaochun should focus on her work. The next day, Lin Na invited Xu Hongdou for a meal, and unexpectedly, Xie Zhiyao tagged along. The restaurant owner, Sun Xiaowei, turned out to be one of Xie Zhiyao’s rejected blind dates. Because Sun Xiaowei had a good impression of Xie Zhiyao, she praised him at the table, making the atmosphere even more awkward.

Seeing Xie Zhiyao signaling her, Xu Hongdou commented that he was consistent in relationships, had high standards, and would rather go without than settle. After the meal, Xie Zhiyao was frustrated and questioned Xu Hongdou about why she didn’t help him out during the meal and seemed so eager to pair him off. Xu Hongdou was speechless, not knowing how to respond. The more Xie Zhiyao thought about it, the angrier he became and decided to leave first.

Because of the unpleasantness with Xie Zhiyao, Xu Hongdou felt upset and stayed with Xie Anai to chat. Knowing that Xu Hongdou would be leaving Yunmiao Village in a few days, Xie Anai urged her to come over more often for meals. Xu Hongdou readily agreed and felt very comforted by Xie Anai’s presence. She dozed off in the chair, and Xie Anai lovingly covered her with a blanket.

That night, when Xie Zhiyao realized that Xu Hongdou hadn't returned to the inn, he received a call from Lin Na and learned she was at the hospital with a fever. He rushed over, out of breath. Fortunately, after getting an IV drip, Xu Hongdou was in decent condition. Seeing how much Xie Zhiyao cared for her, she felt deeply moved.

Xu Hongdou felt that Sun Xiaowei had good qualities—she was beautiful and wealthy—so she suggested Xie Zhiyao consider dating her. Smelling the jealousy in the air, Xie Zhiyao teased Xu Hongdou, and sure enough, she blushed. Back at the inn, Xie Zhiyao personally made a late-night snack for Xu Hongdou. She thought the portion was too much and wanted to share with him. Watching from a distance, Hu Youyu and Lin Na became more convinced there were feelings between them.

Later, a beautiful guest named Bai Manjun checked into Youfeng Inn. Since Xie Xiaochun was busy, Xu Hongdou personally welcomed the guest. Bai Manjun had a good impression of Xu Hongdou and, upon learning that she would soon return to Beijing, expressed regret they didn’t have more time together. Xu Hongdou believed that every encounter is fate. Upon hearing of the new guest, Hu Youyu tried to create a romantic atmosphere and played a fitting song.

Unexpectedly, Bai Manjun turned out to be the woman he met at the Beijing Music Festival. Back then, she was drinking to drown her sorrows, and Hu Youyu kindly comforted her, learning that she had just divorced her husband. Later, with Hu Youyu’s recommendation, Bai Manjun found the Youfeng Inn. It seemed fate had brought them together again.

After handling a village committee dispute, Xie Zhiyao was on his way back when Xu Hongdou noticed the scratches on his neck and invited him to her room to apply medicine. In her room, Xie Zhiyao saw a packed suitcase and realized her departure was near, feeling a bit disheartened. As Xu Hongdou applied iodine to his wound, the close proximity made his heart pound, and he quickly excused himself. But when Xu Hongdou opened the window, it startled Xie Zhiyao, who hid in the corner. Watching her look around, he couldn’t help but smile.
