Ding Xian suddenly felt she shouldn’t have done that and quickly ran off. After returning to the hotel, Zhou Siyue invited Ding Xian to watch their robotics competition. But Ding Xian told him not to push things too far—this outing with him had just been an accident. At that moment, Su Bocong came over. He had been looking for Ding Xian and wanted to discuss work matters.

Just as Su Bocong and Ding Xian sat down in a café, Zhou Siyue came too and sat beside them, eavesdropping on their conversation. Later, both Zhou Siyue and Su Bocong wanted to walk Ding Xian back to her room. Zhou Siyue asked Su Bocong to leave so he could talk to Ding Xian alone.

Zhou Siyue didn’t really like Su Bocong as a person, but he admitted that Su Bocong’s advice was good and told Ding Xian not to miss such opportunities. The next day, the anime convention needed to load up items. Xing Lufei told Ding Xian and the others to help. She deliberately left Ding Xian’s phone in the truck so the driver would leave with it, ensuring Ding Xian wouldn’t make it to Zhou Siyue’s robotics competition in time.

Just as everything was being taken to the venue, Xing Lufei locked Ding Xian in the restroom so she couldn’t get out. Zhou Siyue kept waiting for Ding Xian—if she didn’t show up, there would be no point to the competition. He only presented one product and refused to show the others unless Ding Xian arrived. After the competition, Zhou Siyue went to find Ding Xian at the anime convention and found her stuck in the restroom, helpless.

He kicked the door open and rescued her. Then he told her that even if he won first place in the robotics competition, the thing he wanted most was to pursue her. Just as Zhou Siyue was confessing to Ding Xian, they were discovered by security and taken to the security office for questioning. Su Bocong showed up and got them released.

On the way back, Su Bocong wanted to take Ding Xian out, so Zhou Siyue and Su Bocong entered a competition for her affection—both saw the other as a rival. Ding Xian, stuck in the middle, was helpless. The next day, Su Bocong and Zhou Siyue continued their contest over Ding Xian, even racing to buy her juice. Ding Xian was even more distressed, surprised that the two men could be so childish and ridiculous.

After returning, Ding Xian’s roommate Lou Feng expressed hope that she would be with Zhou Siyue, even though Su Bocong was also excellent. But Ding Xian felt that even if Zhou Siyue confessed to her, she wouldn’t agree so easily, because she had liked him for so long and didn’t want to accept him without careful thought.

Xing Lufei approached Su Bocong, proposing they join forces—Su Bocong could get Ding Xian, and she could be admitted to the hospital to be with Zhou Siyue. Su Bocong invited Zhou Siyue to treat everyone to dinner. During the meal, Xing Lufei suggested playing a game: draw a card and ask the corresponding person a question. When Zhou Siyue drew his card, he asked Xing Lufei if she had done anything bad recently.

Xing Lufei was embarrassed and quickly defended herself, saying Zhou Siyue was still holding a grudge about the chocolate she took. Ding Xian was confused by Zhou Siyue’s question and messaged him, scolding him. Zhou Siyue told her he suspected it was Xing Lufei who locked her in the restroom. In the next round, it was Xing Lufei’s turn to ask. She said the people who drew cards 4 and 5 had to kiss.

Ding Xian got number 4, and Su Bocong got number 5—clearly a setup by Xing Lufei. Zhou Siyue, seeing Ding Xian in a tough spot, secretly swapped cards and ended up with number 4 himself, preventing Xing Lufei and Su Bocong’s scheme from succeeding. After dinner, Su Bocong talked to Zhou Siyue, hoping he would give up on Ding Xian.

After all, he believed he could give Ding Xian a better life, and that she would be more compatible with him in the future. At the robotics competition, Zhou Siyue won first place. When he went on stage, the microphone cut out. Just as the moment was getting awkward, his middle school classmate Liu Xiaofeng came over and handed him another mic.

Afterwards, Zhou Siyue learned that Liu Xiaofeng was also in the competition, and that it was because of something Zhou Siyue had once said that Liu Xiaofeng had the confidence to get into the University of Science and Technology. Previously, Liu Xiaofeng had no self-confidence, but Zhou Siyue’s encouragement changed that. Su Bocong took Ding Xian to sign a contract and gave her a necklace as an accessory.

When they met with an investor, Chairman Zhang asked her to rewrite her work into a love story. Ding Xian was unwilling and walked away. Su Bocong chased after her, telling her she needed to adapt to society—that’s what she would eventually have to face.
