Ding Xian and Kong Shadi followed Zhou Siyue’s trail and found where they were staying. Kong Shadi grabbed Song Ziqi and gave him a beating, then told Zhou Siyue and Ding Xian to leave—she wanted to have a good talk with Song Ziqi. Kong Shadi felt very wronged that Song Ziqi was ignoring her.

He was the one who had insisted on being with her in the first place, but now that he was expelled, he had become a coward and lacked courage. Song Ziqi was helpless in the face of Kong Shadi’s scolding and hitting. He told her she should just go back. He really didn’t know how to take care of her anymore and gave her some money as a way of repaying her for being his girlfriend.

That enraged Kong Shadi, who ran out of the room crying. The more Song Ziqi thought about it, the more he regretted how he treated Kong Shadi, so he hurried out to chase after her. Just then, a car hit a girl right in front of him. Frightened, Song Ziqi ran over—only to realize it wasn’t Kong Shadi. At that moment, Kong Shadi also arrived. Song Ziqi regretted how he treated her.

If one day she really disappeared, he wouldn't be able to face that. He hugged Kong Shadi and apologized, promising that no matter what happened in the future, he would never let go of her hand again. Song Ziqi and Kong Shadi finally made up. They said goodbye to Zhou Siyue and Ding Xian and returned to school. Meanwhile, Zhou Siyue was thinking to himself—if one day Ding Xian suddenly disappeared, would he be able to accept it?

But for now, Zhou Siyue still didn’t have the courage to be with Ding Xian. Zhou Siyue went to the hospital to visit his father, whose condition had improved a lot. His father felt Zhou Siyue should get along well with Ding Xian—they both liked her. He also told Zhou Siyue that he felt guilty toward his mother. He had always underestimated her, and only after falling ill did he realize how important she was.

Zhou Siyue’s mother, who overheard this at the door, was deeply moved. Both parents hoped Zhou Siyue would take responsibility for his own life and not worry too much about the older generation’s matters. Zhou Siyue decided to win Ding Xian back and asked team member Yuan Fang for help. He even specially sought out Kong Shadi and Song Ziqi for advice.

Later, Yuan Fang invited Zhou Siyue to hang out with the anime club so that he could have a chance to confess to Ding Xian. They took a car to Su Bocong’s company—the robotics competition this time was sponsored by his company. Su Bocong personally came out to welcome Ding Xian. Xing Lufei also knew Su Bocong but didn’t expect Ding Xian to be even more familiar with him.

As Su Bocong helped carry Ding Xian’s suitcase, Zhou Siyue got out of the car and rudely remarked that it was typical of Su Bocong’s company to stick its nose into every field. Ding Xian took her suitcase and went inside on her own. Su Bocong wasn’t discouraged and caught up with her, telling her his room number. Just then, Dong Zhengfei saw Su Bocong and quickly went over to greet him, hoping for some attention.

But Su Bocong wasn’t interested, left his phone number, and left in a hurry. Zhou Siyue asked Ding Xian if she had time and wanted to ask her out, but Ding Xian, still angry, told him she was never free. Zhou Siyue didn’t back down and chased after her, saying everything he did was for her own good.

He had heard the things she said to Su Bocong and was afraid she would feel too wronged because of him—he didn’t want her to sacrifice herself for his sake. Ding Xian told Zhou Siyue that no matter how much hardship he carried, she wasn’t afraid, because she liked him. But Zhou Siyue still didn’t understand what true love really meant. At that moment, Xing Lufei came over. Ding Xian didn’t say much and went into her room.

Xing Lufei could tell Zhou Siyue was pursuing Ding Xian and wasn’t happy about it. But Zhou Siyue directly told Xing Lufei that he liked Ding Xian, which made Xing Lufei even more upset. Ding Xian had agreed with Lou Feng and Yuan Fang to separately invite Zhou Siyue and herself out.

So she went to the amusement park to meet Lou Feng, but Lou Feng didn’t come—Zhou Siyue showed up instead and invited her to play in the maze with him. On the way, some girls saw Zhou Siyue was handsome and asked for his contact info, but he firmly refused and said he already had a girlfriend. That made Ding Xian secretly happy. But the amusement park turned out to be a children’s play area.

Zhou Siyue teased Ding Xian, saying she wouldn’t dare to go in. Ding Xian, not one to admit defeat, entered. They played in the maze for a long time, and in the end, Ding Xian got out first. Zhou Siyue, unwilling to lose, challenged her to other games, and the two had a blast competing. On the way back, it started raining.

Zhou Siyue took off his jacket and gave it to Ding Xian, then went to the store to buy her a hot drink. Ding Xian told Zhou Siyue that this was the second time they’d been caught in the rain together—the first time was during the 2012 end-of-the-world scare, and it was Zhou Siyue who had set off the fireworks back then. The two shared a deep kiss.
