Chang Jianxiong, filled with regret, muttered about words he hadn't spoken, realizing he should have confessed his feelings to Nan Qiao when he had the chance to give her his dissertation years ago. He was plagued by the memory of Nan Qiao eagerly reading the dissertation he’d presented her with. The following morning, Chang Jianxiong woke up in Nan Si’s room, still calling out Nan Qiao’s name.

This revelation visibly angered Shi Yue, who muttered about a "stupid person" receiving an award. Nan Qiao then mentioned Chang Jianxiong's past as a plane captain, further fueling Shi Yue's irritation.
Upon arriving at the flight club, Nan Qiao sensed the unusual tension between Shi Yue and Chang Jianxiong and directly asked Shi Yue if he knew Chang Jianxiong beforehand. Shi Yue gave an evasive answer. The two then tried out a helicopter simulator. Shi Yue questioned Nan Qiao's motivation for making drones, and she explained it was to honor someone who had inspired her since childhood.
When Nan Qiao asked about his reason for investing in Future Up, Shi Yue playfully remarked that he wanted to experience dating a female geek in advanced technology, earning several eye-rolls from Nan Qiao. She was surprised by his profound knowledge of flying regulations, including the "three musts, five whatevers, eight confirmations" of aircraft operation. Meanwhile, Chang Jianxiong, who had left the club, drove around, lost in memories.
He recalled a military academy flight simulation where he, nervous and unskilled, was starkly outmatched by Shi Yue's exceptional piloting, who impressively handled the controls to bring their plane to a perfect landing. An emergency meeting was called at Future Up due to the dire sales performance. Wen Di began outlining a plan, directing the sales department to identify problem distributors and the marketing department to refine their promotional strategy.
However, Nan Qiao interrupted her, stating that the problem might not lie solely with sales and that she would use data to pinpoint the real issue. She then tasked the customer service department with collaborating with the technology department to follow up on post-sales experiences and generate a data report within three days. That evening, Chang Jianxiong, half-drunk, sought out Shi Yue on the bar's rooftop, intending to apologize.
Shi Yue stopped him, asserting that not everything could be compensated with mere words. Chang Jianxiong, growing frustrated, demanded to know why Shi Yue wasn't retaliating. When a foreign man began harassing a Chinese woman in the bar, Shi Yue intervened, physically removing both the foreigner and Chang Jianxiong from the premises and instructing his staff that neither man was to be allowed back in. Defiant, Chang Jianxiong shouted that Shi Yue would not have his way, then stormed off.
After Chang Jianxiong's departure, Hao Jie questioned why Shi Yue continued to torment Chang Jianxiong and pursue Nan Qiao, pointing out that Chang Jianxiong had offered an apology and that if Shi Yue sought revenge, he should fight him like a man. Shi Yue explained that his conversations with Nan Qiao had exposed Chang Jianxiong's lies, revealing that Chang Jianxiong had been manipulating him from the very beginning.
He deduced that Chang Jianxiong had fled the Genius Society Flight Club because he feared encountering the club leader. Shi Yue elaborated that Chang Jianxiong had stolen his ideas and model to help Nan Qiao win the aircraft model competition, and the club leader, who presented the award, knew the work was Shi Yue's.
Shi Yue concluded that Chang Jianxiong would never dare to confess the truth to Nan Qiao because it would make her an "indirect accomplice" in his suffering. Shi Yue confessed that he couldn't bear to tell Nan Qiao the truth either. Later, Shi Yue returned home and handled his military knife, recalling the past. When questioned by their superior officer, Shi Yue gave all the credit to Chang Jianxiong, claiming it was Chang Jianxiong's calm handling that averted disaster. However, their superior reprimanded them because the aggressive, unconventional piloting did not conform to regulations. Later, Shi Junqing (Shi Yue) was dismissed from the school for the loss of a top-secret document, a responsibility he had taken alone despite Chang Jianxiong being involved. He was expelled from Blue Sky Edge and blacklisted from future employment, his dreams shattered.
