Hao Jie seized the opportunity to propose a picnic with Ouyang Qi, mentioning that Nan Qiao would also be there, and Ouyang Qi tacitly agreed. Wen Di, along with Xiao An and Old Qin, successfully concluded their collaboration negotiations with Weizhi Company. The three were ecstatic.
Xiao An and Old Qin engaged in their usual bickering, which prompted Wen Di to jokingly remark on their compatibility. Unexpectedly, Xiao An immediately hailed a taxi and left on her own. Later, Wen Di was furious about the incident and pressed Nan Qiao for details. Nan Qiao simply told her to call Chang Jianxiong directly for an explanation. Shi Yue returned to Lucid Dream bar, but his unresponsiveness to everyone was unusual.
Qie Hao remarked to Hao Jie that Shi Yue was "moaning about an imaginary illness" despite his successes and joked about how chaotic it would be if An Ning and Nan Qiao were to meet. Just then, An Ning entered Lucid Dream and walked directly towards Shi Yue. Hao Jie initially offered to take her to Shi Yue, but An Ning insisted she would find him herself.
Chang Jianxiong sought out Wen Di, who playfully praised his heroic act of saving the wristband from the fire. However, Chang Jianxiong informed her of his decision to give up on Nan Qiao. Wen Di questioned whether he had truly given up or was merely disheartened. Chang Jianxiong expressed his sole desire for Nan Qiao to live life as her heart desired, freely loving whom she chose.
He stated his belief that Shi Yue would not let Nan Qiao get hurt, emphasizing that the easy life he himself enjoyed was something Shi Yue had fought seven years for, swallowing his pride through immense hardship. Chang Jianxiong officially declared his withdrawal from pursuing Nan Qiao. Wen Di shook her head, confessing her inability to understand them, noting their previous rivalry had now turned into mutual support, especially since Shi Yue had also been deliberately avoiding Nan Qiao lately.
Chang Jianxiong suggested that Wen Di should apply her wisdom to herself and not always try to act tough. After he left, Wen Di smiled, musing that everyone else called her strong, but only Chang Jianxiong advised her not to pretend to be. An Ning found Shi Yue in the wine cellar, noting that the place remained exactly as it was when she left seven years ago.

An Ning then revealed that she had divorced her second husband, having filed the request before returning to the country, and he had just signed the papers. She confided that Shi Yue was the only man who could make her shed her "Sister An" persona, apologizing for having made him watch her back in the past. She declared her return and asked Shi Yue if he was still "around" for her. Shi Yue remained silent.
Without waiting for an explanation, An Ning turned to leave, telling him that they had plenty of time, and this time, she wouldn't be leaving again. After An Ning left, Shi Yue felt trapped by her intense desire to control him. Hao Jie commented to Shi Yue that An Ning’s true desire was his affection.
