Shi Yue's mysterious disappearance left Nan Qiao in anguish. She longed to contact him but hesitated, clutching her phone. While pondering, she inadvertently sent him a heart emoji. Wen Di saw Shi Yue's absence as a prime opportunity for Chang Jianxiong. She quickly assembled equipment for him, encouraging him to invite Nan Qiao to his home.
Wen Di aimed to shift the tides in their favor before Shi Yue's return, setting Chang Jianxiong's house as the "main stage" for their date, where just "one man and a woman" could reminisce about "childhood memories" and "plainly talk about feelings." Chang Jianxiong had purchased various ingredients. Wen Di observed that a "man cooking is the most economical, practical, and surefire way to get a girl," commenting that he was "really not stupid."
However, Chang Jianxiong intended to also invite Nan Qin, hoping Nan Qiao could enjoy her sister's cooking and the two sisters could reunite. Wen Di was dismayed, declaring, "So wrong! Meanwhile, Shi Yue was aboard a boat by the sea, lost in memories of the past. He recalled the time he risked his life to save An Ning.
Her husband, known as Big Brother, had fled abroad, leaving his former subordinates to pressure An Ning to relinquish power. They used Big Brother's daughter from a previous marriage to demand money. The daughter insulted An Ning, calling her a "concubine" and a "wild woman" without legal status, yet controlling everything. An Ning defiantly stated that her husband would return.
However, because he had been gone for so long, the drug cartel leaders declared that if Big Brother did not return within three days, they would initiate procedures to remove him. Unable to wait outside any longer, Shi Yue burst into the room. After receiving a phone call, the men allowed Shi Yue and An Ning to leave. Back on the boat, Shi Yue sipped fresh soup, reflecting on all the events since he met Nan Qiao.
Past events flashed through his mind. He confessed to the boatman, Ah Gu, that he felt unworthy of a woman he had initially approached with "evil intentions," only to unexpectedly fall deeply in love with her. He was now uncertain whether to "turn around and leave or just make the best out of the mistake and continue moving forward."
While Wen Di and Chang Jianxiong were still planning their strategy at his house, Nan Qiao unexpectedly knocked on Chang Jianxiong's door. Wen Di decided to seize the moment, telling Chang Jianxiong, "Bumping into each other is better than setting for another date. Today. Here. Get Xiao Qiao." Chang Jianxiong pretended to have a fever, as his father had suggested. Nan Qiao entered, immediately offering to perform a bloodletting treatment for his fever.
Wen Di, hidden behind Nan Qiao, tried to coach Chang Jianxiong. However, Nan Qiao quickly discerned Wen Di's presence from Chang Jianxiong's eyes and called her out. Chang Jianxiong then suggested they all have tea in the garden. Wen Di seized the opportunity to persuade Nan Qiao to consider Chang Jianxiong, describing him as "simple, direct," and someone she "is able to completely control," unlike Shi Yue, who was "at a different level" and would only drag her around.
Nan Qiao, however, retorted that Wen Di should "take him in" if she was so supportive. Wen Di chuckled, admitting she merely enjoyed "the process of flirting with a guy," but Chang Jianxiong's heart wasn't with her. While flipping through Chang Jianxiong's photo album, Nan Qiao suddenly discovered a picture of Shi Junqing.
Chang Jianxiong explained that Shi Junqing was his "best friend during my Blue Sky Edge days" who couldn't become a soldier due to a mishap, and keeping the photo fulfilled his friend's wish. Just then, Nan Qiao's electronic wristband alarm went off, and she rushed out frantically. The alarm was triggered accidentally by Ah Gu, who had been playing with Shi Yue's wristband.
Meanwhile, Hao Jie was persistently lingering at Ouyang Qi's pet shop, despite her playful attempts to drive him away, joking about him "competing with the dogs for territory." Nan Qiao rushed in, demanding to know where Shi Yue was and informing them about the alarming wristband, fearing "something bad happened to him in the open seas." Hao Jie quickly checked his phone. Realizing the alarm had gone off, Shi Yue sent Nan Qiao a message, confirming, "I'm fine."
Ah Gu encouraged Shi Yue to return to the city and face the situation, reminding him that if he saw "dark clouds and mist" ahead, it was okay to "turn back." Shi Yue declared, "What you said is right. Just boldly move forward," realizing Nan Qiao was his "lighthouse." Hao Jie then had a whole truckload of flowers delivered to Ouyang Qi's pet shop.
He then informed Nan Qiao that Shi Yue was back, prompting her to excitedly rush back to the company for a meeting. Hao Jie explained to Ouyang Qi that the flowers were "the first trick in the Hao family method of courting girls," meant to create an atmosphere for his confession.
He also presented Ouyang Qi with a pair of boxing gloves studded with diamonds, telling her, "I will be your target from now on" if she ever felt like hitting him. Ouyang Qi noted that the diamonds meant he didn't want her to use them, and Hao Jie affirmed, "You quite understand my intentions. Looks like we are a heavenly made pair." Ouyang Qi subtly smiled as she accepted his unusual gift.
Nan Qiao returned to the company, where Nan Qin's son was stubbornly waiting for Shi Yue, having been there for a week. Nan Qiao, unable to make him leave, decided to let him be. She then gathered her core employees for a meeting to discuss integrating virtual reality technology with their drones. She emphasized the challenge of matching "visualization technology" to their devices while preventing dizziness.
Later that evening, Nan Qiao's wristband indicated that Shi Yue was nearby, but she grew disheartened when he didn't contact her directly. Seeing her mood, Wen Di took her out to unwind.
