> Novoland: The Castle in the Sky Recap
Xue Feishuang dies in Feng Tianyi's embrace, expressing regret for her past mistakes. Feng Tianyi, heartbroken, sheds tears, kisses her forehead, and posthumously names her Princess Feishuang of Southern Chu, with solemn funeral bells tolling. Upon learning of Xue Feishuang's death, Yu Haizhen returns to Southern Chu, grieving over her body. He blames Feng Tianyi, confronting him in anger, but is easily defeated.
Yu Haizhen is later stopped while attempting to leave the palace with Xue Feishuang's body, but Feng Tianyi, in a fit of rage, dismisses the guards and allows him to take the body. Yu Haizhen then vows to make Feng Tianyi pay. Meanwhile, Yi Fuling drinks alone, distraught by a life she perceives as full of lies and betrayal.
Bai Tingjun finds her, wanting to take her back to Frost City and be with her, enduring pain from the "Corrosive Bone Nails" when he touches her. Drunk, Yi Fuling mistakes Bai Tingjun for Feng Tianyi and kisses him, repeatedly calling out Feng Tianyi's name. Feng Tianyi witnesses this, while Bai Tingjun, hearing Yi Fuling's words, feels helpless. Bai Tingjun carries the unconscious Yi Fuling through heavy snow, pondering her love for Feng Tianyi.
Feng Tianyi, Yu Haizhen, and Bai Tingjun all experience profound sorrow on this snowy night, each having lost a loved one or suffered heartbreak. The next day, Yi Fuling frankly tells Bai Tingjun that she loves Feng Tianyi and asks him to take her back to Frost City. Bai Tingjun initially believes she still cares for him, but Yi Fuling subtly withdraws her hand.
Suddenly, Feng Ren and his soldiers arrive to take Yi Fuling back to Southern Chu, either for punishment or to marry Feng Tianyi as Empress. Feng Tianyi appears, speaking coldly to Yi Fuling, offering her a choice: return to Southern Chu as a common palace official or go back to Frost City. Yi Fuling unhesitatingly chooses to leave. Feng Ren defies Feng Tianyi's unspoken will and blocks their path.
Yu Haizhen intervenes by attacking Feng Ren's soldiers, allowing Bai Tingjun and Yi Fuling to escape with him. Feng Tianyi then prevents his own soldiers from pursuing the three. As Feng Tianyi plays the Qiwu zither mournfully, Feng Ren confronts him, frustrated by his apparent willingness to let Yi Fuling go. Feng Ren emphasizes the critical importance of the Star Flow Flower Deity for Feng Tianyi to truly become the Winged King, especially given his natural lack of wing pores.
He warns that losing the Star Flow Flower Deity's clue would lead to chaos and highlights the scarcity of Star Flow Flower powder, making the Winged Clan's survival difficult. He further cautions that if the Star Flow Flower Deity falls into Human Clan hands, it would be a major constraint on the Winged Clan. Feng Ren then gives Feng Tianyi the Star Flow Flower Deity's box, which he took from Yu Haizhen, urging him to make a wise decision.
After their escape, Yi Fuling remains melancholic, feeling her future is uncertain, but she still defends Feng Tianyi even when Bai Tingjun attempts to comfort her by speaking ill of him.
