Yi Fuling pleaded with Feng Ren for Yu Haizhen's freedom, but Feng Ren redirected her to Feng Tianyi, stating he had returned governance to him. In a heated argument with Feng Tianyi, Yi Fuling defiantly demanded to share Yu Haizhen's punishment, leading Feng Tianyi to impulsively imprison her alongside Yu Haizhen. Although Feng Tianyi sent food, Yi Fuling adamantly refused it, leaving Feng Tianyi distressed and powerless. Feng Ren, perceiving their mutual love yet self-inflicted torment, decided to help them.
Yi Fuling feigned illness, then attacked a guard, easily escaping with Yu Haizhen. This effortless escape was, in fact, orchestrated by Feng Ren, as evidenced by Pei Zhao's discreet appearance after their departure. When Pei Zhao reported the escape to Feng Tianyi, who was playing chess with Feng Ren, Feng Tianyi feigned composure and chose not to pursue them, a facade Feng Ren saw right through.
After their escape, Yu Haizhen expressed concern that the Starry Craft (星辰号) might expose their location and wanted to destroy it, but Yi Fuling stopped him. Yi Fuling planned to find Bai Tingjun to apologize, then journey to Frost City to find Ji Shu, with Yu Haizhen agreeing to accompany her. Yu Haizhen, fearing Yi Fuling might not return, embraced her deeply, confessing his desire to depend on her for a lifetime.
However, Yi Fuling was resolute in her decision to leave and retrieve a box. Meanwhile, with Bai Xue having disappeared for days, Frost City was in disarray, prompting the Starry Pavilion members to cease their search for Bai Tingjun and return to the city. Yi Fuling piloted the Starry Craft (星辰号) back to Southern Celestial City (南羽都) but could not find Feng Tianyi. She visited Xue Feishuang, who was gravely ill.
Xue Feishuang, close to death, deceitfully claimed her cinnabar mark had disappeared due to Feng Tianyi, implying they had a secret affair. Shocked and heartbroken, Yi Fuling's trust in Feng Tianyi was shattered, mistakenly believing this to be his secret. When Feng Tianyi found her, Yi Fuling slapped him, returned their Sky Grass necklace, and, in sorrow, piloted the Starry Craft (星辰号) away from Southern Celestial City (南羽都).
A distraught Yi Fuling eventually returned to Yu Haizhen, who had repaired the Chi Su (尺素), but she was empty-handed. Feng Tianyi, left alone, gazed after Yi Fuling's retreating direction, heartbroken. Feng Ren advised Feng Tianyi that revealing his secret to Yi Fuling was akin to entrusting her with his throne. Meanwhile, Chi Su (尺素) helped Yi Fuling locate Bai Tingjun. Later, Xue Feishuang requested a meeting with Feng Tianyi.
Dressed in the dance attire he once gifted her, she struggled to perform a final dance. Feng Tianyi was moved to tears, recalling their shared childhood memories. Exhausted, Xue Feishuang collapsed into Feng Tianyi's arms, pleading for his forgiveness and confessing her enduring love for him.
