As Mu Qing stopped Ou Kexin, a familiar female voice and silhouette strongly resembled his beloved Rong Yu, but he quickly realized he had mistaken her for someone else. Driving on, Mu Qing was consumed by memories of his past. He recalled a successful drug bust a few years prior, celebrating with Rong Yu and planning wedding photos for that very night.

However, an unforeseen trap—a bomb in the trunk, which Rong Yu went to check—severely injured her, leading to her tragic death despite desperate medical efforts. Mu Qing was haunted by the incident, clutching the engagement ring he had intended for her. Later, Director Liu met with Mu Qing, acknowledging the deep emotional wound Rong Yu's sacrifice had left.

He gently reminded Mu Qing that the accident was not his fault and urged him to move past the self-blame, especially as he was currently on an important mission where being distracted could be dangerous. Director Liu then handed Mu Qing a complete file on Scorpion. He explained that the Narcotics team had been tracking Scorpion for a long time and were close to making an arrest.

However, Director Liu instructed Mu Qing to ensure that Bao Yunhai would be the one to apprehend Scorpion, as they needed to extract more crucial information from him. Additionally, Director Liu asked Mu Qing to gather any useful clues about the missing Zhao Nan, emphasizing that Mu Qing’s own safety was paramount to avoid further casualties. Mu Qing assured Director Liu he understood.

The following day, Li Ruosheng, who had spent the entire night pondering the decision to deal with Scorpion, admitted his mind was still unclear on the tactics and asked Mu Qing, his strategist, to figure out the specific plan. Mu Qing agreed to devise a plan and stressed the immediate priority was to keep a close watch on Scorpion.

Moments later, as Mu Qing was driving, Ou Kexin, the same woman Mu Qing had briefly encountered the previous day, suddenly rushed into the road, called out to him, and unceremoniously climbed into his passenger seat without permission. She frantically explained that her purse had been snatched by a man on a motorcycle and begged Mu Qing to chase him. Despite Mu Qing’s initial reluctance, Ou Kexin’s persistence eventually swayed him.

The pursuit was high-speed, but Mu Qing's car eventually ran out of gas, and to make matters worse, a traffic officer arrived and had the car towed for reckless driving and running several red lights. Ou Kexin, feeling exhausted, insisted that Mu Qing either recover her purse or carry her. Grudgingly, Mu Qing carried her for a considerable distance, even stopping to buy her water and food. As they rested, Ou Kexin told him she had no money or luggage.

Mu Qing gave her 200 yuan and called her a taxi, but she angrily declared she never wanted to see him again and reluctantly got into the cab. Back at his place, Li Ruosheng teased Mu Qing about being entangled with a woman all day, even paying 200 yuan for her taxi, without even getting her WeChat. Mu Qing quickly redirected the conversation to Scorpion, frustrated by Li Ruosheng’s flippant attitude.

Just as Li Ruosheng was preparing to go out for a drink, he received a phone call from his godfather, Mr. Ou, who instructed him to pick up a girl from Shiku Bridge Police Station. Mu Qing, upon seeing a photo of the girl, was stunned to realize it was the very same woman who had caused him so much trouble earlier that day.

Li Ruosheng, impressed by the woman's beauty, jokingly referred to her as his "godmother" before they left. At the police station, Li Ruosheng greeted Ou Kexin, but she immediately lashed out at Mu Qing, accusing him of abandoning her and allowing the thief to escape. She declared that she would rather walk to her father's house than get in their car. This statement made both Li Ruosheng and Mu Qing realize that she was indeed Mr. Ou’s daughter.

Mu Qing quickly apologized for his earlier behavior. Ou Kexin, seemingly enjoying his discomfort, admitted she liked his "straight as an arrow" personality. To make amends, she demanded a lavish dinner from Mu Qing. At a bustling street-side diner, Ou Kexin seized an opportunity for alone time with Mu Qing when Li Ruosheng went off to buy drinks. She then pressed Mu Qing for a formal introduction.

After he introduced himself, Ou Kexin returned a warm kiss on his cheek, leaving Mu Qing flustered. They chatted for a while, with Ou Kexin revealing she had lived abroad for many years but always spoke Mandarin with her mother. She then questioned Mu Qing about his and Li Ruosheng's work for her father, to which Mu Qing explained that Li Ruosheng was Mr. Ou's godson, while he merely worked for Li Ruosheng.

When Li Ruosheng returned with drinks, Ou Kexin remarked on Mu Qing's preference for soy milk, leading Mu Qing to playfully claim intimate knowledge of Li Ruosheng, including his scars and moles. Later, as Ou Kexin slept in Li Ruosheng’s car, Li Ruosheng expressed his concern to Mu Qing that she might report their earlier treatment to Mr. Ou.

He admitted that while he knew Mr. Ou had a daughter and she had been involved in an accident three years prior, he knew nothing else about her. The following day, Ou Kexin rejoined them and revealed she had spent 500,000 yuan using Li Ruosheng’s online banking overnight.

She justified her extravagant spending by saying she was actually helping them get an audience with her father, implying that the better they treated her, the more benefits her father would bestow upon them. Just then, the doorbell rang, and it was Mr. Glasses’ driver there to pick up Ou Kexin.

She invited Mu Qing and Li Ruosheng to join her, but Li Ruosheng declined, explaining that Mr. Ou had a strict rule: they could not visit him unless explicitly invited. Shortly after, Ou Kexin drove back, insisting she couldn't leave her "saviors" stranded. Despite Li Ruosheng’s apprehension about violating Mr. Ou’s rules and incurring his wrath, Ou Kexin confidently assured them she had a way to handle her father.

As they drove towards Mr. Ou's residence, Mu Qing observed numerous lookouts stationed along the road, indicating a highly secure compound. Ou Kexin asked Mu Qing what kind of business her father conducted, but Mu Qing remained vague. She confided that she hadn't seen her father in many years and felt a bit nervous, prompting Li Ruosheng to also tidy himself up in preparation for the meeting.

Upon their arrival, Ou Kexin warmly greeted Mr. Glasses, who reciprocated her affectionate greeting and expressed how much she had grown and how beautiful she had become since returning from France. Mr. Glasses then instructed Shaonan to escort Li Ruosheng and Mu Qing back. However, Ou Kexin intervened, asserting that they were her "saviors" and it would be incredibly rude not to allow them inside. Mu Qing, sensing the tension, suggested they leave, but Ou Kexin held her ground.
