Mu Qing confidently proposed to Mr. Ou that he could reestablish Dakun's sales network, promising to weave it deeper and denser than before, and that he only needed one month to do so. Mr. Ou was pleased, stating he could wait for a month, and if Mu Qing and Li Ruosheng delivered on their promise, he would confidently hand over the business to them.

Li Ruosheng, however, was worried about the tight one-month deadline, expressing his lack of confidence even with three months. Mu Qing, unfazed, showed Li Ruosheng several marked notes from Mr. Ou. He explained that Mr. Ou had initially intended to divide Dakun's territories evenly among the major figures to balance power.

However, as the "Three Major Bosses" did not express interest, Mr. Ou had no choice but to let Mu Qing and Li Ruosheng take responsibility, thus owing them a favor. Mu Qing suggested that even if they couldn't fulfill the promise, it wouldn't matter much. Reassured, Li Ruosheng put his worries aside. Mu Qing then took Li Ruosheng to see a secret online trading platform he had been developing, known as the dark web.

Mu Qing explained that it was deeply encrypted, making it impossible for even the police to crack its passwords. Its unique concealment and security features meant that if more clients used it for transactions, the volume would be unimaginable. Li Ruosheng was delighted, embracing Mu Qing in excitement, asking how long Mu Qing had been preparing such a big surprise for him. Meanwhile, the "Three Major Bosses"—Tieguanyin, Congtou, and Yan Jing—met again.

Congtou expressed his annoyance at being outmaneuvered by "two brats." Tieguanyin, more pragmatic, said she had high expectations for Mu Qing and Li Ruosheng, acknowledging them as young and talented, with far superior methods compared to Dakun. She suggested turning them into allies rather than enemies, as it was business, and no one should have a problem with money. Congtou, however, was furious and threw his prayer beads in anger, while Yan Jing remained silently grim.

Ou Kexin visited Mr. Ou, complaining that Dakun was unreachable, and still owed her 30% of the balance for a large order of custom-made clothes for him and his men. Yan Jing immediately offered to pay Dakun's debt, which made Ou Kexin fear that something had happened to Dakun. Mr. Ou sent Yan Jing out, then spoke privately with Ou Kexin.

He cautioned her to stay away from anything related to Dakun and to report anyone approaching her under Dakun's name, promising to send protection. Ou Kexin, however, directly confronted her father, stating she was not foolish and knew he was involved in drug dealing, showing him evidence of Dakun’s arrested men. She emotionally recounted her kidnapping three years prior and the resulting facial injuries, pleading with her father to stop.

Mr. Ou admitted he couldn't hide it anymore, but asserted that Dakun, his brother for over ten years, would not betray him. He explained that he had sent Ou Kexin and her mother abroad years ago to protect them, revealing that he had been in the business even before she was born and had come to realize it was a path of no return. He promised to be with her forever and ensure her happiness.

After Ou Kexin left, Mr. Ou's worried expression hardened, and he immediately ordered Yan Jing to have Dakun killed without delay. At the police station, Dakun, contemplating his hopeless situation, remembered that undercover agent Zhao Nan was still in his custody, a potential lifeline. He demanded to see a superior, offering to trade Zhao Nan’s life for his freedom. He claimed Zhao Nan was alive because he allowed it, but he could end his life at any time.

He gave the police three days to consider his proposal, warning that if he was still imprisoned after that, the deal would be off, and he wouldn't guarantee Zhao Nan's safety. Rong Yao swiftly reported this to Director Liu, who prioritized Zhao Nan’s rescue, directing the entire task force to cooperate with Rong Yao. Rong Yao suggested involving Mu Qing, but Director Liu refused, fearing it would expose Mu Qing's undercover identity.

Rong Yao expressed concern about the tight three-day deadline and urged Director Liu to reconsider. Analyzing the video of Zhao Nan, Rong Yao noticed him shaking, deducing he was likely held in a cold place, possibly a cold storage facility. Director Liu, realizing time was running out, ultimately contacted Mu Qing, informing him of Dakun's confession and the analysis that Zhao Nan was in a cold storage on Dakun's territory.

He instructed Mu Qing to help locate it within 48 hours, emphasizing the need to act without exposing his identity. Mu Qing recalled Ou Kexin mentioning a restricted area behind her warehouse, a part of Dakun’s territory. He called her, and she confirmed it was a cold storage facility, frequently visited by cold chain trucks. Using the pretext of studying Dakun's "Workers," Mu Qing brought up the cold storage with Li Ruosheng.

He mentioned that three key figures—Dapeng, Shanyang, and Liu Pizi—who managed the cold chain warehouse, were highly regarded by Dakun. Mu Qing revealed that these three had sent word wanting to meet him and Li Ruosheng. Mu Qing used this as an opportunity to incite Li Ruosheng to raid the location, stating his hands felt itchy for action. As they interrogated Dakun's men, Xiaowei, Dakun's godson and the current cold storage manager, burst in, intent on avenging Dakun.

He challenged them, declaring his loyalty to Dakun, but Mu Qing quickly subdued him, promising the men a better life if they joined him and Li Ruosheng. Mu Qing then directly asked the three managers about the Arctic Cold Chain, learning it was Dakun’s original transport station, now managed by Xiaowei. Simultaneously, Director Liu received a call from Director Wang, who informed him that "Skylark," the Provincial Public Security Bureau's highest-level undercover agent in Group K, was now activated.

Director Wang stressed the critical global drug situation and the need to completely dismantle Group K, capture Spectre, and prevent new drugs from entering the country. Director Liu immediately relayed the news to Mu Qing, informing him about Skylark and instructing him to wait patiently for Skylark to make contact. Director Liu also ordered Rong Yao to organize his team and head to the Arctic Cold Chain storage.

Rong Yao and his team arrived at the Arctic Cold Chain plant, suspecting it to be Dakun's secret base and Zhao Nan's holding place due to its remote location. An officer reported that the seemingly closed company's electricity meter was still running, and only one truck with the same license plate was seen going in and out daily. When they attempted to approach, a security guard ignored them and locked the gate.

Realizing the place was suspicious, Rong Yao led his team in under the guise of electrical maintenance. However, after a thorough search, they found no trace of Zhao Nan or any place suitable for holding a hostage. Mu Qing called Xiaowei, blaming him for not keeping his word and asking why he was avoiding a meeting. Xiaowei, claiming to be unwell, challenged Mu Qing to find him, promising to listen if he succeeded. Mu Qing, already aware of Xiaowei's cold storage location, confidently drove there.
