Always on the Move Episode 11 Recap
> Always on the Move Recap
Watching the Japanese movie "The Hunt" together, Yao Yuling and Wang Xin discussed the plot. Yao Yuling told Wang Xin that she thought he was much better looking than Ken Takakura and even compared Ken Takakura's hairstyle to Conductor Lu's. Their quiet conversation bothered the audience behind them, who protested loudly. During the movie, Yao Yuling used lines from the film to express her feelings for Wang Xin, leaving him unsure how to respond.
After the movie, Yao Yuling confessed her feelings again, telling Wang Xin she had liked him since he gave her White Rabbit candy when she fainted from hunger. Wang Xin admitted that he also liked her, and they began a relationship. Wang Sufang fainted while getting water due to a worsening medical condition. Wang Yongge happened to see her and immediately took her to the hospital. After intense efforts by the medical staff, Wang Sufang regained consciousness.
Not wanting to burden Ma Kui and Ma Yan, she desperately pleaded with the chief physician, Director Liu, to conceal her true condition, which he suspected was metastatic cancer. When Ma Kui and Ma Yan arrived at the hospital later, Shen Xiuping told them that Wang Sufang had simply fainted due to low blood sugar caused by malnutrition, suggesting she stay in the hospital for a few days for observation. Ma Kui did not question this explanation.
Ma Yan and Shen Xiuping both emphasized to Wang Sufang that she needed to eat more and improve her nutrition. Worried about her adopted son Ma Jian being left unsupervised, Wang Sufang was reassured when Ma Kui arranged for their neighbors, including Cai's wife, Wu's wife, and Lu's wife, to take turns looking after him. Later, Ma Kui encountered Lu Xuelin on a train.
Seeing that Lu Xuelin was wearing a black armband, Ma Kui realized Lu's father had passed away. Lu mentioned that his fiancée, Yuxia, had stopped pressuring him to transfer to Hacheng, implying they had resolved their past issues. Ma Kui offered condolences and encouragement. Wang Yongge and Wang Xin visited Wang Sufang in the hospital, allowing Ma Kui to go home and rest while Wang Xin stayed to look after her.
Early the next morning, Ma Yan arrived to relieve Wang Xin. Yao Yuling soon followed, immediately greeting Wang Xin affectionately and linking his arm, asking him questions. Seeing their closeness and cheerful interaction, Ma Yan felt a pang of jealousy. When Wang Xin confirmed that he and Yao Yuling were dating, Ma Yan quickly found an excuse to leave. Wang Xin and Yao Yuling were inseparable, constantly seen together.
This greatly angered Niu Dali, who confronted Wang Xin directly, demanding that Wang Xin give Yao Yuling up to him. Wang Xin refused firmly, leading to a heated argument between them, ending without resolution. Cai Xiaonian offered Niu Dali advice on pursuing women, using an analogy of stoking a boiler to explain that Niu Dali was too intense and needed to be more relaxed.
Meanwhile, Ma Yan confronted Wang Xin, accusing him of having ulterior motives for constantly visiting her house, especially since he was now dating Yao Yuling. Wang Xin tried to explain that he visited because they were classmates and his father was Ma Kui's supervisor, but Ma Yan was upset and left angrily. After Wang Sufang was discharged from the hospital, Shen Xiuping frequently visited to help care for her.
Shen Xiuping even offered to take Ma Jian home with her sometimes, allowing Wang Sufang to rest. Distressed by his failed attempt to win Yao Yuling's affection, Niu Dali was in a bad mood, frequently shouting at Changgui over minor things. Changgui, understanding Niu Dali's heartbreak, didn't take it to heart. On a train, three men extorted a passenger. When the passenger refused to cooperate, they severely beat him.
Wang Xin and Ma Kui were called to the scene and intervened. The victim identified witnesses, but they were reluctant to testify, fearing retribution. When the train reached a station, one of the witnesses got off, and Ma Kui and Wang Xin followed him all the way to his home. The witness still refused to cooperate, shutting them out. Wang Xin suggested giving up, arguing that they shouldn't waste time on a seemingly minor case.
Ma Kui sternly rebuked Wang Xin, emphasizing the importance of every case and the police's duty to protect innocent people, regardless of the scale of the crime. That night, Ma Kui and Wang Xin returned to the witness's home, bringing canned goods as a gesture of goodwill. They waited patiently outside. Ma Kui explained to Wang Xin that the witness was likely afraid of the assaulters, who were local hooligans. After some time, the witness finally opened his door.
Seeing their persistence and sincerity, he told them the truth, confirming the three men were local thugs who regularly extorted people and had initiated the attack. He also revealed seeing a woman with a black spot on her face on a previous train ride. She was holding a small boy and had used a towel to apparently drug him, causing him to fall asleep, before getting off at Yongqing Station.
Acting on the witness's information, the police found the abducted boy in Yongqing, but the female trafficker had escaped. Reflecting on the case, Ma Kui reminded Wang Xin that small cases should not be underestimated, as they can often lead to significant clues. Later, Ma Kui was greeted warmly at the station by Wang Guofu, whom he had helped years ago in his very first case after becoming a police officer.
Wang Guofu introduced his wife and asked Ma Kui to name their future child, attributing his current happiness to Ma Kui's past help. Ma Kui declined to name the child but offered heartfelt congratulations and blessings.
