At night, Tian Jingzhi entered Xue Lingqiao's bedroom, seeking his advice for her next live broadcast. She asked if she should try a different hairstyle instead of her usual messy bun, which she had practiced diligently to make look natural. Xue Lingqiao, however, insisted that her messy bun was already good. He then noticed Tian Jingzhi's unusual behavior, finding her overly comfortable and unguarded in his room.
He pressed her about her true intentions, asking if she was there to sleep with him, before pushing her onto the bed. Tian Jingzhi quickly clarified that she had no such intentions, explaining that she was good friends with all her ex-boyfriends, and Xue Lingqiao was simply Xue Changan’s father to her.
After escaping his room, Tian Jingzhi congratulated herself on her acting skills, hoping Xue Lingqiao hadn't seen through her facade, though she worried if her actions had improved or worsened their relationship. Meanwhile, Bai Lu was very weak and struggled even to stand. Doctor Jiang diligently cared for her, reassuring her that he would always be there if she needed him.
