Eight years ago, Jiang Yuwen urgently arrived at a laboratory and, without hesitation, injected himself with the RAN drug. He then flushed the remaining medication down the drain, where it flowed into a river. By coincidence, Ding Qi fell into the water at that exact moment, forming an unexpected connection with the drug. Jiang Yuwen was shocked to discover he had become a time loop perceiver. Through repeated tests, he uncovered patterns in time loops and meticulously recorded lottery numbers.

Using these numbers, he sent them to Maggie's mother in advance, making her rich overnight in America and altering her destiny. During this time, Jiang Yuwen made observations about the nature of their altered reality, noting that the daily rings on a coral specimen were over 400, not 365, suggesting a change in space-time.

After escaping the laboratory through an explosion, Jiang Yuwen quickly sought out Han Song and Tang Shaorong, hoping they would help him obtain Mo Yuanzhi's core technology to reclaim Moma Group. He conveyed his urgency, stating he didn't have much time left. Han Song agreed, believing Mo Yuanzhi could no longer remain as president, as Moma would be ruined under his management.

Han Song later discovered clues of a secret laboratory, which he secretly photographed and publicly revealed at a company meeting. Mo Yuanzhi calmly observed the two men and left without offering any explanation. Soon after, the alarming news of Han Song and Tang Shaorong's deaths spread. Jiang Yuwen had witnessed these events and, filled with hatred, he planted a bomb in a cake, intending to kill Mo Yuanzhi. In the present, Ding Qi frantically headed to Moma Biotechnology.

Mo Yuanzhi was leading Maggie into a secret laboratory for a tour. Concerned because he couldn't reach Tang Xin and Han Yufei on their phones, Ding Qi used the pretense of delivering documents to try and approach Mo Yuanzhi. He asked Moma staff about Tang Xin and Mr. Han, but they hadn't seen either of them.

When Ding Qi asked where Mr. Mo was, a staff member informed him that Mo Yuanzhi had gone to the test site with an investor. Ding Qi then asked if the documents for Mr. Mo should be brought to the test site, and the staff directed him there. Inside, Mo Yuanzhi welcomed Maggie to the lab.

He then offered her an exclusive visit to Moma Biotechnology's chief scientist's laboratory, explaining that while it was normally off-limits to outsiders, it was necessary to show her the true capabilities of Moma's top-tier research team as she was about to become a major shareholder. Maggie accepted enthusiastically. As soon as Maggie entered the laboratory, Mo Yuanzhi locked her inside.

He revealed that he, too, was a time loop perceiver but had not aged, leading him to suspect he had found an antidote. Maggie’s intention was indeed to get this supposed antidote to save her father, Jiang Yuwen, who, after experimenting with the first-generation RAN on himself, was aging at an alarming rate. She had informed her father that she would return to Moma under the guise of an investor to find the cure.

Mo Yuanzhi, having anticipated Maggie's purpose, scoffed at her "lofty excuses," stating that Jiang Yuwen's side effect wouldn't kill him and that the data Maggie was seeking would be useless. Maggie accused him of lying, demanding to know why he hadn't suffered side effects himself if the data was useless.

Mo Yuanzhi then clarified that everyone who underwent early RAN tests developed a side effect that attacked the body's weakest part, causing rapid deterioration, and confirmed that both he and Jiang Yuwen suffered from these aftereffects. Maggie retorted that Mo Yuanzhi also had side effects and accused him of breaking the rules first by trying to kill her father, as they were supposed to cooperate with their shared RAN technology and data.

Mo Yuanzhi vehemently denied this, claiming Jiang Yuwen was the first to kill, specifically an innocent girl named Feng Wanqing, whom he loved dearly. He accused Jiang Yuwen of killing Feng Wanqing by injecting her with an immature RAN reagent, causing her five times the agony in her final moments. Maggie defended her father, saying he meant well, but Mo Yuanzhi questioned whether he wanted to save lives or merely conduct experiments on living patients.

Maggie accused Mo Yuanzhi of using Wanqing as an excuse to monopolize Moma, but he countered by questioning Jiang Yuwen's nobility, claiming Jiang Yuwen planned an explosion to steal his RAN data, which would have killed many. Maggie countered that the explosion never actually happened. Mo Yuanzhi then stated his true reason for seeking Jiang Yuwen: he needed Jiang Yuwen's portion of the RAN data to save Wanqing.

He declared he would kill anyone who stood in his way, naming Han Song, Tang Shaorong, Han Yufei, and finally, Maggie herself. Despite Maggie's threat that her father would never forgive him, Mo Yuanzhi, with a chilling apology, told her she was innocent and should blame her fate on having a bad father.

He then revealed his ultimate plan while looking towards Wanqing's hidden location, stating that now that he knew Jiang Yuwen's side effect was rapid aging, getting Jiang Yuwen's data would allow him to create a new drug to stop his own side effects and save Wanqing's life. Ding Qi discovered Maggie was trapped in the laboratory and desperately sought a way to rescue her.

Based on You Yuxiang's memory, he meticulously prepared a reagent, correctly mixing three parts concentrated hydrochloric acid with one part concentrated nitric acid to create aqua regia, which could dissolve metal, to melt the lab door. Meanwhile, Maggie inadvertently opened a secret lab door and was horrified to find Feng Wanqing's body within. As she triggered a hidden mechanism, methane was violently released, causing an instant fire.

She frantically activated the rescue alarm, but simultaneously, the oxygen in the room was rapidly drawn out. She tried to lie near the door to breathe the thin oxygen, but the dizziness overwhelmed her, and she fainted. At that critical moment, Ding Qi successfully rescued her. Mo Yuanzhi, watching the events unfold on a monitor, realized Maggie had survived. He calmly dismissed all staff, instructing them to go home.

He then skillfully set up a program on his computer, clearly orchestrating a larger, more sinister plot. Elsewhere, Jiang Yuwen, upon learning his daughter was trapped in the lab, rushed out with a bomb, consumed by worry. Just as he left, Ding Qi tried to call him but received no answer, which filled him with an ominous feeling. Mo Yuanzhi drove away from the scene in his black Alphard, with the police following closely behind.

Simultaneously, the police also located Ye Kun's hiding place, but his room was empty. After handing Maggie over to his colleagues and ensuring she received water, Ding Qi sped off in pursuit of Mo Yuanzhi. However, Mo Yuanzhi unexpectedly got out of his car in the parking garage and returned to Moma Biotechnology. Ding Qi received an update that Mo Yuanzhi had not left the premises.

Realizing Mo Yuanzhi's deceptive maneuver, Ding Qi called his superior, Duan Zheng, and ordered an immediate lockdown of the entire Moma Building. The police swiftly arrived and sealed off all entrances and exits. In the parking garage, Ding Qi noticed drag marks on the floor. Following these traces, he successfully located the trapped Tang Xin and Han Yufei.
