Love Under the Full Moon Episode 24 (Ending) Recap
> Love Under the Full Moon Recap
At the bridal shop, Yuan Yuan is ecstatic when Lei Chuxia emerges in a stunning wedding gown. Just then, Xu Xiaodong and Jin Xiaorui arrive, dressed in tuxedos. While Xu Xiaodong is captivated by Chuxia's beauty, Jin Xiaorui is equally mesmerized by Yuan Yuan, who is also in a wedding dress. He pulls Yuan Yuan outside to propose, leaving the other two alone.
Xu Xiaodong embraces Chuxia, promising to spend every second with her and to share every future full moon together. By the sea, Jin Xiaorui admits to Yuan Yuan that while their relationship started under strange circumstances, his feelings are genuine and he truly wants to marry her. He gets down on one knee and proposes. As he's about to put the ring on her finger, Chuxia and Xiaodong appear.
Chuxia playfully objects, stating there's a condition to marrying her best friend. She hands Jin Xiaorui a notebook she wrote, titled "100 Things About Yuan Yuan," and makes him promise to always support Yuan Yuan's dreams and make her happy. He agrees, and the proposal is complete. For Chuxia, giving Yuan Yuan her blessing is also a form of goodbye. Later, Chuxia prepares for her departure.
Unsure how to say farewell to her parents, she and Xiaodong arrive with new pets: a long-living tortoise, a pair of talking parakeets, and a small dog she names Xia Xia. She explains that these animals will keep her parents company when she is gone. That evening, wanting to savor every last moment, Xu Xiaodong moves his luggage into Chuxia's house, planning to sleep on the sofa.
He surprises her by leading her into a dark room, which he then illuminates with a beautiful, glowing replica of a full moon, complete with their silhouettes. He explains that since real full moons are rare, he created one for them so they could have a full moon every night. Touched, they share a loving kiss. On the day of Jin Xiaorui and Yuan Yuan’s wedding, Chuxia serves as a bridesmaid.
Xiaodong's aunt, Shen Weiwei, draws a five-pointed star on Chuxia’s palm, sharing a childhood secret that a heartfelt wish made with the star will come true. She encourages Chuxia to hold onto her belief in love, no matter what the universe decides. As the ceremony begins, a rare celestial event occurs: the sun has not yet set, but the full moon has already risen.
Seeing the sun and moon in the sky together, Xiaodong realizes his greatest fear is about to come true. He runs desperately towards Chuxia, who is standing behind a large white veil. As he reaches her, a gust of wind lifts the veil. When it falls, she is gone, leaving only her phone and bracelet behind. Heartbroken, Xiaodong collapses in tears. After the wedding, he finds a video message Chuxia left for him.
She explains that Professor Chen Mo told her the universe would offer two choices. The first was a time loop where they would meet again, but he would be forced to suffer through misfortune repeatedly. The second choice was a "many-worlds interpretation," which would open a new path for her. Unwilling to see him suffer, she chose to change her future, even if it meant they might never meet in the new world. This was her decision.
Chuxia travels back ten years to November 18th, determined to prevent the tragedies before they start. She bursts into the Piggy Tech press conference and stops Wei Xuanhe from signing the contract to steal Xu Weiyi's patent. To convince him, she reveals a secret he has never told anyone: that his greatest dream isn't to be the perfect son, but to be a humble rower. Stunned, he abandons the deal.
Next, Chuxia finds Xu Weiyi and explains everything about her time travel. Remembering he was the customer who ordered a cake ten years ago but never picked it up, she gives him his stolen patent along with the cake, "Summer's Kiss," and reminds him to take his medication to protect his health. However, her heart sinks when Xu Weiyi tells her that with everything resolved, he plans to take his family and move abroad.
Chuxia realizes that in this new timeline, she and Xu Xiaodong may never cross paths. Ten years pass in the new reality. Chuxia has spent the decade traveling the country as a food connoisseur. She only returns home upon hearing that Yuan Yuan is getting married. To her surprise, the wedding venue, the bridal shop, and even the wedding dress Yuan Yuan insists she try on are all identical to the ones from her previous life.
While admiring Chuxia in the dress, Yuan Yuan comments on her old necklace, which holds the ring Xiaodong gave her. Chuxia sadly mentions the story of drawing a five-pointed star on one's palm to make a wish come true. Yuan Yuan is shocked, revealing that her fiancé's friend's aunt told her the exact same story. Realizing the connection, Chuxia asks who she is marrying.
Yuan Yuan reveals she met her fiancé, Jin Xiaorui, ten days ago and they decided on a flash marriage. Everything clicks into place for Chuxia. She runs out of the shop and through the crowd at the wedding venue, desperately searching. She finally spots a familiar figure standing on the lawn. It is Xu Xiaodong. She walks towards him, and they lock eyes. Confused, he asks, "Do we know each other?"
A single tear rolls down Chuxia's cheek as she smiles, remembering his proposal: "I depart from summer, and you look back from winter. Let us meet in the autumn." The universe, no matter the path, had brought them together again.
