The siblings were overjoyed at their unexpected reunion. Ma Ru Long revealed his intention to use Shui Wuxia to threaten Xiao Kai Zhen into cooperating. Faced with his sister's life on the line, Xiao Kai Zhen reluctantly agreed. As Xiao Kai Zhen worked on the purified substance, he feigned a tremor due to his illness, breaking a bowl and subtly kicking a sharp fragment to Shui Wuxia. Shui Wuxia discreetly began cutting her ropes.
Ma Ru Long noticed her actions and moved to cut off her arm. Just then, Shen Qingli burst in, injuring Ma Ru Long.
