Ming Yi and her master, She Tianlin, set off for Zhangwei Mountain. As they entered the dense forest, they were enveloped by a thick miasma, which She Tianlin noted would make finding the Bo clan's ancestral home even more difficult. Ming Yi assured him she could endure. They decided to split up to search for the entrance, agreeing to send flying messages if anything was discovered.

However, after repeated attempts, they found themselves back at their starting point, realizing they were trapped in a loop. They tried splitting up again. Unexpectedly, Ming Yi had an idea and opened the first part of "Bo's Medical Classics," causing the thick fog around her to slowly recede. In that moment, Ji Bozai appeared, launching a feigned attack on Ming Yi.

Though the Embers bow was destroyed, it instinctively activated to protect its master, unequivocally confirming Ming Yi's identity to Ji Bozai. He confronted her, explaining that her creating Nirvana, a protective artifact similar to Embers, had raised his suspicions, which were then solidified by testing Nirvana.

He pressed her, asking if she was Ming Xian and if she sought Golden Millet Dream because she was afflicted with Heavenly Grief, warning her that if she lied again, their connection would be irrevocably severed. Ming Yi, deciding she no longer wanted to deceive him, finally admitted the truth. Just then, the ancient divine beast Zhulong, guardian of the Bo clan's ancestral home, appeared, manifesting as a young girl.

She swiftly scratched Ji Bozai's arm, taking a drop of his blood. When her senses registered no reaction, she imprisoned both him and Ming Yi within a hidden valley sealed by a secret enchantment. Ming Yi, deeply worried, immediately rushed to heal what she believed was an unconscious Ji Bozai, remarking on his severe injury and his willingness to sacrifice so much for his "nemesis."

However, Ji Bozai was merely feigning unconsciousness, a ploy to test Ming Yi's true feelings for him. Seeing the Heavenly Grief flower on her wrist, he felt a deep empathy, beginning to understand and pity her for her past actions. Ming Yi, noticing Zhulong's lack of reaction to Ji Bozai's blood, wondered if he wasn't a descendant of the Bo clan after all.

Ji Bozai, now fully conscious, dismissed her concerns about Zhulong's intentions, suggesting they make themselves at home, hinting at his own mastery of deception. After some time, Ji Bozai noted Ming Yi's hunger, having heard her stomach rumble loudly. She initially brushed off the concern, but another rumble prompted Ji Bozai to teasingly say it was "like thunder," making it hard to ignore. He then surprised her by producing warm scallion pancakes from his robe.

When Ming Yi questioned why he brought them to Zhangwei Mountain, he simply stated he had come to find her. He had already used magic to heat them for her, and he urged her to eat every bite, which she readily agreed to. Their interaction was unexpectedly warm and intimate. Meanwhile, She Tianlin also noticed the fog clearing. He encountered Zhulong, recognizing her. Acknowledging his status as an outsider, he understood he couldn't enter the ancestral home himself.

However, he pleaded with Zhulong to allow the "child" – Ming Xian – to meet the ancestor, asserting that she alone possessed the right. He also inquired about the whereabouts of Ming Yi and Ji Bozai, deducing they were trapped within Zhulong's barrier, and urged her to bring Ming Yi out to meet the ancestor. After Ming Yi finished eating, she and Ji Bozai openly discussed their past deceptions.

Ji Bozai revealed he knew she was afflicted with Heavenly Grief, which caused her to lose the Qingyun Tournament, and that she initially suspected him of poisoning her. Ming Yi admitted her suspicions led her to meticulously plot to get close to him, intending to gain his trust and steal Golden Millet Dream. Ji Bozai questioned if she would have then killed him, to which Ming Yi honestly replied she would have, but only after defeating him fairly.

He also recalled how she had believed him when he denied poisoning her, and how her initial insincerity in helping him steal a portrait had evolved into genuine concern when she saved him in the Illusory Realm. Ji Bozai encouraged her to be honest, and Ming Yi reciprocated, confessing that he had become more important to her than she had ever realized. Zhulong then reappeared, requesting a drop of Ming Yi's blood.

Upon receiving it, Zhulong resonated with her, immediately transporting both Ming Yi and Ji Bozai out of the sealed valley. Zhulong tore open the barrier, allowing Ming Yi to step into the ancestral home, but she blocked Ji Bozai, leaving him perplexed and asking why he couldn't enter, fearing for Ming Yi's safety. Inside the ancestral home, Ming Yi encountered the lingering illusions of Bo Yulan and her sister, Bo Yucen.

Bo Yulan welcomed her, revealing that she knew Ming Yi was Ming Xian. She explained that as long as the portraits of Bo clan descendants were worshipped, their last vestiges of divine consciousness would remain preserved within the ancestral home, under Zhulong's protection. Ming Yi requested that Bo Yulan meet Ji Bozai, but Bo Yulan refused, stating she had "no face" to see him and asked Ming Yi to relay her message: she owed him an insurmountable debt.

She spoke of a cruel truth hidden in plain sight from Ji Bozai, which she feared would destroy his trust in humanity if revealed, though his memories were within his reach if he insisted on seeking them. Ming Yi, confused by these cryptic words, pressed for more information, but Bo Yulan redirected, affirming Ming Yi was the most suitable person to entrust with the Golden Millet Dream recipe.

She explained that while she once made Ji Bozai swear to guard Golden Millet Dream, the changing times made its re-emergence meaningful if it could save many lives. Ming Yi then vowed to refine the Golden Millet Dream, cure her poison, and return it to the Bo clan descendants, ensuring it wouldn't fall into external hands. Bo Yulan revealed that only one Bo descendant remained, her own child, whose identity and whereabouts she wished to keep secret.

Before giving Ming Yi the second part of "Bo's Medical Classics," which she clarified was not a book but a secret method, Bo Yulan made Ming Yi swear a solemn oath: to protect all living beings even at the cost of her life, or face the destruction of her soul. After Ming Yi swore the oath, Bo Yulan, expressing no further regrets, sent her away, still refusing to see Ji Bozai.

Outside, Situ Ling and Fu Yue, who had been observing, realized the significance of Ming Yi being accepted by Zhulong and the ancestral home. Situ Ling concluded that Ming Yi, rather than Ji Bozai, was likely the true descendant of the Bo clan. Meanwhile, Chao Heng received a report confirming these developments.

Pleased, he ordered an immediate investigation into Ming Yi's true identity, believing she was more than just a minor fairy from Jixing Abyss, and commanded Situ Ling to retrieve the complete "Bo's Medical Classics." Chao Heng, having waited a century, declared that once he obtained both Golden Millet Dream and Heavenly Grief, he would activate the Sky-Swallowing Array during the Qingyun Tournament to completely dominate the Six Realms, dismissing Mu Yuanfeng's Aranya Barrier as futile.

On their return journey, She Tianlin combined the two parts of "Bo's Medical Classics" and finally understood the complete recipe. He was dismayed to find that all the listed ingredients, such as Longevity Turtle, Luo Fish, Ostrich Rat, White-Eared Ape and Kunlun Moss Grass, were exceedingly rare, and the crucial catalyst, the Diwu tree's core, had been extinct in the Six Realms for over ten thousand years. He blamed Ji Bozai for destroying the last Golden Millet Dream.

Just then, Ji Bozai collapsed, suffering from the venom of Zhulong's claws. Ming Yi, noticing the poisonous blood, immediately stepped in to treat him. She Tianlin, observing Ming Yi's dedication, humorously remarked on Ji Bozai's "romantic" predicament. Ming Yi questioned why she wasn't poisoned by Zhulong and why only she could enter the ancestral home, but She Tianlin simply attributed it to Zhulong's peculiar temperament, redirecting their focus to the daunting task of finding the Diwu tree's core.

Upon their return to Jixing Abyss, Ming Yi relayed Bo Yulan's message to Ji Bozai, including the cryptic warning about the devastating truth. Ji Bozai struggled to comprehend how his master could have wronged him, given her sacrifice, but resolved to uncover the truth himself. Taking this opportunity, they reconciled, their prior deceptions now laid bare. Later, Ji Bozai worked on restoring Embers' appearance, handing the beautifully repaired artifact back to Ming Yi, who was deeply moved.

He explained that while he could restore its exterior, only she could truly mend it. Ji Bozai vowed that there would indeed be a future for them. Overhearing their conversation about the elusive Diwu tree's core and Twenty-Seven's sacrifice, Buxiu became visibly saddened. That night, Situ Ling sought out Ming Yi, offering to help her find the ingredients needed for Golden Millet Dream. Ming Yi, however, politely declined his assistance, citing that fate runs its course.

Unyielding, Situ Ling then pressed She Tianlin for information, expressing his desperate desire to save Ming Yi, even at the cost of his own life. She Tianlin, unable to refuse his earnest plea, revealed that the critical, final ingredient was the Diwu tree's core, which had been extinct for thirteen millennia. Shocked by this revelation, Situ Ling secretly resolved to find a way to prolong Ming Yi's life, despite the seemingly impossible task.
