Xiao Hanyang visited the island residents to inquire about Zhuo Yingchun. A young man, after seeing the photo, said he had no impression. But an elderly man with dementia beside him called out the name “Little Floral Jacket,” and only then did the young man realize that Little Floral Jacket might be Zhuo Yingchun.

Xiao Qiao contacted Li Chunsheng and asked him to cooperate on the case concerning Zou Feng, stating that Zou Feng had handed over Yu Bin’s belongings to him, which might contain clues. The man said he had heard the story of Little Floral Jacket. She had once immigrated to the island, married a fisherman there, and gave birth to a son named Yang Bo. But not long after, the fisherman died.

Later, she married a second husband, but he too died shortly after. After Zhuo Yingchun’s husbands died one after another, villagers gossiped about her, so she resumed her migratory lifestyle. Xiao Hanyang suddenly understood and guessed that Zhuo Yingchun was from Dongyue. The man gave another clue: Zhuo Yingchun was sent by an orphanage. Du Jia personally went to Dongyue and pretended to be a business negotiator to get close to President Su.

She obtained the information at the party and sent the photo to Luo Weizhao. Li Chunsheng took the initiative to bring a photo album. After looking through it, Xiao Qiao discovered an important clue—there was a portrait of Zhang Zhaolin in the paintings. Xiao Hanyang found out that both Zhuo Yingchun and Su Fei came from the same welfare institution and began to suspect they shared the same mastermind.

After seeing the photo, Luo Weizhao recognized Zhang Zhaolin, and standing next to him was Minister Zhang, Zhang Zhaojin. Zhang Zhaojin was speechless. He claimed that he had his own principles and admitted he was from the orphanage. Back then, he and Zhang Zhaolin were sent to the orphanage, where they met Su Fei. Because Su Fei was young and pretty, she was harassed several times by Zhou Yahou.

The three of them decided to escape the orphanage, but during the attempt, Zhang Zhaolin sprained his ankle and was beaten. Zhang Zhaojin stayed behind to protect him. Although they weren’t related by blood, they were closer than real brothers. Upon hearing this, Luo Weizhao became angry. He didn’t think this justified Zhang Zhaojin’s betrayal of Huo Xiao and Old Yang.

Zhang Zhaojin regretted that back then Zhang Zhaolin had done something stupid and was close to being found out by Huo Xiao and Old Yang. Zhang Zhaolin told Zhang Zhaojin not to get involved, then orchestrated a setup and had Huo Xiao and Old Yang killed. Luo Weizhao couldn’t believe it. He had already obtained evidence from Fan Siyuan, but still couldn’t accept it.

He accused Zhang Zhaojin of cruelty, blaming him for destroying Old Yang’s family and his comrade-in-arms Huo Xiao, who had been with him for twenty years. Director Luo was monitoring their conversation. After Luo Weizhao left, he called Minister Du to initiate action. Luo Weizhao and his team went ahead to Zhang Zhaolin’s house, only to find he had vanished. They suspected someone had tipped him off. As they were about to withdraw, Minister Du and his men arrived.

Upon learning the situation, he ordered a strict inspection of all exits. Luo Weizhao realized that Zhang Zhaolin had collaborated with Director Luo and suspected the two were hiding something from him. He had now confirmed that the mastermind was Fan Siyuan and believed Minister Du had deliberately let Zhang Zhaolin escape, possibly to let Fan Siyuan take the remaining forces into hiding. But it wasn’t foolproof—one last link was still missing.

Luo Weizhao suddenly remembered something; this was related to Pei Su’s life. He finally understood what Pei Su had been hiding all this time. Minister Du unlocked his phone. The location showed Central Park—this was Pei Su’s plan. Twenty-four hours earlier, Pei Su had met with Minister Du. President Su had already provided all evidence of Zhang Zhaolin’s crimes.

Pei Su had long been in talks with Minister Du about cooperation and had asked President Su to hand over the evidence as a sign of trust. He warned Minister Du that Fan Siyuan was a demon and must not be allowed to escape. He proposed a strategy of “the mantis stalks the cicada, unaware of the oriole behind,” using Zhang Donglan as bait. As expected, Zhang Zhaolin called Pei Su, asking him what he wanted.

Pei Su claimed that Pei Chengyu had inherited a legendary ancestral blade and used it to threaten Zhang Zhaolin into handing it over. Zhang Zhaolin, concerned about Zhang Donglan, requested to meet Pei Su in person. Knowing he would not survive the meeting, Pei Su asked Minister Du to keep it confidential for the time being. Luo Weizhao also located Pei Su’s position. When he arrived, he found Pei Su missing and the driver lying dead on the ground. Seeing the shattered glasses on the ground, Luo Weizhao couldn’t help but worry. Thirty minutes earlier, Zhang Zhaolin had taken Pei Su and handed him over to Fan Siyuan.
