Xia Xinan panicked and said the wrong thing. Luo Weizhao exposed her behavior. She was teary-eyed but still remained silent. Pei Su was listening to a new article on Qiming Reading when he suddenly received a call from Teacher Pan. Teacher Pan told him to come back and reminded him that the information obtained in the Special Investigation Team must be signed off by Teacher Pan and Director Du. Xiao Qiao complained that the missing students' statements were identical.

Tao Ze's side also made no progress; the students were not talking. Luo Weizhao believed the suspicious point in this case lay in the relationship between Xia Xinan and Du Guosheng. Tao Ze saw that Xia Xinan was afraid of Du Guosheng and believed that her trembling behavior did not seem faked. Xiao Hanyang expressed his opinion, believing that Xia Xinan might be the victim. Pei Su interrupted their conversation and wanted to ask Xiao Hanyang who he planned to say the real murderer was.

Luo Weizhao became anxious after hearing this and accused Xiao Hanyang of not having personal motives. Under their questioning, Xiao Hanyang mentioned the case from ten years ago, stating that he had found Du Guosheng's fingerprints.
