Bai Cai thought of what Xin Yuekui had said, that the hairpin A Gou had given her was something belonging to King Xin's queen, Xin Yuehu. And the real identity of the A Gou she knew was Wu Geng, the prince of the state of Xin. Bai Cai called Wu Geng aside and revealed his true identity. Wu Geng explained that he was both Wu Geng and A Gou. But Bai Cai still felt that she had lost A Gou.

She had sensed it all along, but she had always been unwilling to think deeply about this matter, even deceiving herself that Wu Geng was her A Gou. Bai Cai did not believe that Wu Geng was A Gou.
