Zhao Qiaoyi accidentally learns that Yan Mo has always loved her deeply. Hao Wuyi's mother has cancer, and Zhao Guanchao rushes back to Nanchuan to share the burden. Hao Wuyi learns from her mother's secretary, Zhou Wei, that her mother had known she had late-stage cancer for a long time, but she didn't want Hao Wuyi to be sad for her, preferring Hao Wuyi to think she had gone to the United States. This deeply saddened Hao Wuyi.
Zhao Qiaoyi returns to Yan Mo's home in Nanchuan and finds Yan Mo lying motionless on the sofa. She goes to check on him and discovers he's just asleep.
