After night fell, several small boats proceeded in the dark, gradually gathering to surround the official ship in the center of the sea. The leader was dressed in a black robe and dark armor, wearing a beast-head mask, his pair of dark eyes staring intently into the distance, seemingly ready to issue commands at any moment.

Jin Sang took the opportunity to bite and break a porcelain bowl, using the fragments to open his shackles, escape from the cage, and then held a soldier hostage to force information about Yusu's whereabouts. Following this, he took Hou Yu hostage, ordering Di Renjie to hand over Yusu in exchange for his safety. Just as the two sides were in a stalemate, someone suddenly shouted, "Ships are coming! " Jin Sang hurriedly blew a whistle.

Di Renjie realized the situation was bad and was about to warn everyone to take precautions, when a rain of arrows shot towards them. The officers and soldiers were caught off guard and suffered heavy casualties. Hou Yu, disregarding his own safety, urged Di Renjie to quickly go and notify the Imperial Guards. Di Renjie had to turn back and found Gu Mengbin severely wounded.

On the verge of death, he revealed he had been ambushed, regretting that he and Officer Yi had coveted gold and provided ships to Wang Lide, leading to this outcome. The ship was still in chaos, but Di Renjie quickly regained his composure and commanded the Imperial Guards to defend against the enemy. In a short while, the enemy ships' offensive gradually weakened, and the officers and soldiers brought Yusu in time.

Jin Sang's hostage also changed from Hou Yu to Yusu. At this moment, Black Flame led a group of people rushing towards the official ship, during which they discovered Cao An hiding in a corner. Since Ma Rong and Qiao Tai were subdued and unable to get close to Di Renjie, with a command from Hou Yu, dozens of arrows flew out simultaneously.

At the critical moment, Di Renjie grabbed Cao An and jumped into the rushing seawater. Ma Rong and the others were heartbroken, shouting Di Renjie's name loudly, but the two had disappeared into the vast sea, as if the shocking scene that had just occurred never happened. Di Renjie sank to the bottom of the sea, struggling to breathe.

The scene of his father jumping into the river appeared in his mind, like a life flashing before his eyes before death. Fortunately, Cao An was skilled at swimming and swam with Di Renjie to the shore. The two survived and built a fire on the shore to keep warm while waiting for rescue.
