Li Chengping and Shi Chanli tried to persuade Fan Xian to make money through the Three Great Workshops instead of promoting labor-intensive and thankless craftsmanship. But Fan Xian had made up his mind—he wanted to spread advanced craftsmanship throughout the land. Knowing Fan Xian was doing something great for the country and the people, both expressed their full support. Fan Xian regarded Haitang Duoduo as his best friend and opened his heart to her.

Haitang Duoduo also told him the truth—Ku He had made alterations to the “Tianyi Dao Heart Technique,” and if Fan Xian continued practicing it as is, he would become a fool. Haitang Duoduo corrected the errors one by one. Fan Xian cursed Ku He for his sinister and malicious nature. It turned out Ku He had also removed several steps from the overbearing qi technique he gave Haitang Duoduo, making her speechless with anger.

Fan Xian sent Deng Ziyue to pose as a disaster victim and infiltrate the Ming family. The First and Fourth Divisions of the Imperial Inspectorate forged his identity and background. Fan Xian brought Wang Qinian to the warehouse of the Three Great Workshops, escorted by the Black Knights. Shadow arrived shortly afterward with bad news—Ye Liuyun was coming to kill Fan Xian. Wang Qinian advised Fan Xian to return to the city, but Fan Xian refused to give up. He wanted to reclaim the Three Great Workshops left behind by his mother, Ye Qingmei. Shadow had no choice but to accompany him.

The group soon found the warehouse—it was huge and even had tracks and trolleys inside. Fan Xian guessed that this setup had also been left behind by his mother. Deng Ziyue and the workers were moving goods. He discreetly signaled Fan Xian, who then ordered the Black Knights to surround the warehouse. Xiao Jing, the supervisor of Workshop A, stepped forward to confront Fan Xian.

Wang Qinian immediately produced case files listing Xiao Jing’s crimes—accepting bribes, embezzling death pensions, and withholding workers' wages. Fan Xian executed him on the spot. Wang Qinian then read out the charges against Supervisor Ma Jianxiong, who was also beheaded. Supervisor Wu trembled in fear, offered to surrender the Three Great Workshops, and personally assisted Fan Xian with the handover. The Ming matriarch closely monitored Fan Xian’s every move.

After learning that Fan Xian had taken over the Three Great Workshops, Ming Qingda wanted Ye Liuyun to help kill Fan Xian. The Ming matriarch refused—she didn’t want to rely on outsiders. Ming Qingda feared that the Ming family would be punished by the court for seizing the workshops. The Ming matriarch told him to find a biological brother to take the blame. Helpless, Ming Qingda reluctantly agreed. However, he began to harbor murderous thoughts toward the Ming matriarch.

During a massage session, he strangled her to death. When Fan Xian learned that Ye Liuyun was coming to Suzhou, he went directly to the pier to wait. Wang Qinian and Shadow followed closely behind. The river was calm, and boatmen were transporting goods in an orderly fashion, but Fan Xian sensed a powerful presence approaching from the sea and couldn’t help but draw a sharp breath. Ye Liuyun rowed a small boat toward them.

Suddenly, the boat flew into the air, and Ye Liuyun landed steadily on the dock. Fan Xian had no true qi left and didn’t draw his sniper rifle, believing that Ye Liuyun wouldn’t kill him—because Ye Liuyun cared about his family. Ye Liuyun flicked his sleeve and sent a dagger flying. Shadow caught it firmly, and Ye Liuyun drifted away. Moments after Ye Liuyun departed, the ground split open, and the archway and city tower were sliced in half.

Fan Xian witnessed Ye Liuyun cut down half a building with one sword stroke and was in awe. Fan Xian was surprised to find that his true qi had returned, realizing that Ye Liuyun was helping him. This season's story comes to a temporary close. Audiences and readers are left wanting more, eagerly anticipating Zhang Qing’s updates for Season 3.
