In Blossom Episode 15 Recap
> In Blossom Recap
Pan Yue and Zhuo Lanjiang both left. Yang Caiwei and Bai Xiaosheng walked along the lively streets of Heyang, recalling how they used to attend lantern festivals as children. They once wrote messages for their secret crushes on lanterns and hung them on the bridge, imitating the grown-ups. Back then, Yang Caiwei's wish was that, apart from Pan Yue, it didn't matter who it was.
Bai Xiaosheng seemed to have found someone she liked, but she wasn't in Zhuo Lanjiang's heart. The two of them ran into Third Miss and Shuangshuang, who were having cold drinks and even gave some to a passing group of young beggars. Seeing the satisfied smiles on the children’s faces, Yang Caiwei felt deeply moved.
When they arrived at the bridge Zhuo Lanjiang had mentioned, Yang Caiwei intended to take a look, but Bai Xiaosheng, knowing Zhuo Lanjiang liked Yang Caiwei, made an excuse not to go. Pan Yue also released a lantern into the sky, without writing or drawing anything on it. Seeing this, Yang Caiwei turned away from the bridge and walked toward Pan Yue.
Bai Xiaosheng, seeing Yang Caiwei leave, quickly went to look at the lantern Zhuo Lanjiang had hung—sure enough, the woman in the lantern was none other than Yang Caiwei. Yang Caiwei had been chasing for quite a while when she was suddenly struck with stomach pain. Meanwhile, Pan Yue went to check on Gu Shan, who had regained consciousness but responded vaguely. Through probing, Pan Yue realized this was a fake Gu Shan, released by Gu Yong to confuse them.
At the same time, Pan Yue became aware that Yang Caiwei was in danger. Yang Caiwei, alone, had gone to a secluded place. Her instincts told her something was wrong, and soon enough, the appearance of a man in black and Third Miss confirmed her suspicions. Third Miss used the Blood Sword to kill the man in black, and Yang Caiwei suddenly realized—she was Gu Shan! Gu Shan was not Gu Yong’s son but his daughter.
When she had seen Yang Caiwei on stage earlier, Third Miss clenched her fists silently—she wanted to kill Yang Caiwei. Pan Yue searched everywhere for Yang Caiwei and even asked Zhuo Lanjiang to gather people to help. Realizing that her only hope was to stall for time, Yang Caiwei pretended they had already uncovered Third Miss’s identity and that Pan Yue was nearby and would arrive any moment.
Passing by a cold drink stall, Pan Yue noticed Third Miss was not there. Connecting it to the bluish-purple wounds on the victims, he quickly deduced the weapon was made of ice. Yang Caiwei kept stalling, saying Third Miss was no different from Gu Yong. She guessed Gu Yong had forced her to disguise herself as a man because he only had a daughter who couldn't inherit the family business.
That touched a nerve—he didn’t like pretending to be a man. She had liked the same things as ordinary girls, and what she was forced to become was never what she wanted. Gu Yong had locked Third Miss in a dungeon, and after escaping, she saw Shuangshuang being abused by their father, prompting her to kill Uncle Qiang. There was one thing Yang Caiwei couldn’t figure out—why had Third Miss taken Gu Yong’s rippling-pattern token? Third Miss didn’t answer.
Yang Caiwei cut off the ropes behind her while angering Third Miss. As a lantern fell and triggered a fire, Yang Caiwei ran with all her might. Just as Third Miss caught her, Pan Yue appeared and saved her. Before losing consciousness, Yang Caiwei only saw his robe. When Yang Caiwei woke up again, she was in Zhuo Lanjiang’s arms, with no sign of Pan Yue.
Ling Er came in, complaining that such a serious thing had happened to Yang Caiwei, yet Pan Yue didn’t even come to see her. Zhuo Lanjiang said he would escort Third Miss back. Upon learning that Gu Shan had been captured, Gu Yong decided to proceed with his original plan and not let Third Miss leave alive. On the way to escort Third Miss, Gu Yong came alone, saying he wanted to see his daughter.
He took out the Blood Sword—Third Miss knew he was afraid she’d reveal the secret behind the token. Just as she was about to speak, Zhuo Lanjiang brought Lady Gu to force her hand. Seeing her deranged and pitiful mother, Third Miss finally agreed. But at that moment, Lady Gu suddenly regained her senses and told her daughter she couldn't always be controlled by him—otherwise, what difference was there between being alive and dead?
Lady Gu slit her own throat, and in a fit of rage, Third Miss broke free and fought Gu Yong. The father and daughter stabbed each other in the throat and chest with the Blood Sword. Third Miss died on the spot and handed the token to Yang Caiwei with her last breath. After spotting a shadow on the roof beam, Pan Yue gave chase but found nothing.
Zhuo Lanjiang also discovered a new lead—the appearance of the Jinshui Gang wasn’t a coincidence; they were connected to the Ripple Pattern organization.
