Ka Suo and Huang Tuo continued their search for the orange daylilies, which Huang Tuo explained must be found by listening, not seeing. They soon discovered the offspring of a Tiger Demon resting in a cradle of these flowers. The Tiger Demon, mistaking their intentions, attacked them. Ka Suo returned the child to its father and, as compensation, conjured an ice sculpture of a sparrow. With the Tiger Demon appeased, they successfully obtained the pollen.

Meanwhile, Ying Kong Shi secretly visited Yue Zhao, apologizing for his previous actions and vowing to find a way to prolong her life. Soon after, the Healer Tribe Chief arrived with other healers. He noted Yue Zhao's fever and ordered her taken to the cold spring. Ying Kong Shi hid and observed, realizing the Chief had ulterior motives as he took Yue Zhao away, and secretly followed. Li Luo and Yue Shen, seeking refuge, followed a villager to a cave.

There, the villager revealed himself to be the Rat Demon, intent on absorbing their life force. Li Luo fought valiantly but was outmatched. Yue Shen, quick-thinking, launched a signal flare for help but was poisoned by the Rat Demon in the process. Ka Suo and Huang Tuo arrived just in time. Huang Tuo quickly administered the orange daylily pollen to Yue Shen to counteract the poison.

Ka Suo confronted the Rat Demon, demanding the One-Leaf Ice Crystal of the Healer Tribe. As the Rat Demon hesitated, Yan Da and her Fire Tribe soldiers appeared, blocking the cave's exit and also demanding the Ice Crystal. Caught between Ka Suo and Yan Da, and suffering from their combined powers, the Rat Demon finally confessed he did not possess the Ice Crystal.

He revealed that the Healer Tribe Chief still held it, and that the Chief had only shown him the crystal 18 years prior, but had never actually exchanged it for his people's safety. The Rat Demon admitted he had lied because he couldn't withstand the Chief's magic. Meanwhile, the Healer Tribe Chief, having led Yue Zhao away, prepared to kill her, asserting her death would prevent others from seeking the Ice Crystal from him.

Just as he was about to strike, Ying Kong Shi, who had been secretly following, intervened and saved Yue Zhao. Ying Kong Shi confronted the Chief, questioning how a mortal could possess divine tribe magic. The Chief then revealed his secret: 18 years ago, before the rat plague, he had consumed one leaf of the Six-Leaf Ice Crystal, which granted him divine magic and immunity to diseases.

He confessed to having threatened the Rat Demon to prevent the plague's spread among his tribesmen and warned him never to reveal that the Chief had eaten the crystal. Ka Suo, Li Luo, and Huang Tuo arrived, having learned the truth from the Rat Demon, and exposed the Chief's deception. Yan Da then moved to seize the Ice Crystal from the Chief.

During the ensuing confrontation, Li Luo deliberately provoked Yan Da into using her magic against a mortal, which, due to the laws of the divine, caused Yan Da to temporarily lose her powers. Yan Da exclaimed, "How come I lost my magic?" Li Luo confirmed her plan had succeeded. Ka Suo seized the opportunity and retrieved the Ice Crystal. Powerless, Yan Da fled with Ying Kong Shi.

While Ying Kong Shi was with her, Yan Da gave him a pill to help heal his internal injuries, questioning if he had been attempting to retrieve the Ice Crystal for her. Stripped of the Ice Crystal, the Healer Tribe Chief rapidly aged, and a mysterious black mist erupted from his body. An eerie voice from the mist cursed Ka Suo, declaring that the Six-Leaf Ice Crystal would never return to the Ice Tribe.

Ka Suo immediately used the Ice Crystal to save the ailing Yue Zhao, who, now healed, regained her youthful appearance. Afterward, Ka Suo returned the Ice Crystal to Huang Tuo, explaining that it rightfully belonged to the Healer Tribe, and he would only seek it through a formal request, allowing the Chief to decide. Huang Tuo observed his father, who, without the Ice Crystal, had regressed to a child-like mentality and sometimes didn't recognize him.

While unusual, Huang Tuo reflected that his father, who had been corrupted by power after becoming Chief, was now living out his days in simple happiness, which he viewed as a blessing. Feeling guilty, Li Luo hesitated to apologize to Ka Suo, but Huang Tuo encouraged her. When she finally approached Ka Suo, he asked if she would again endanger herself without his consent, to which she defiantly replied that she would.

She apologized, explaining that as a Realm Guardian, it was her duty to defeat Yan Da. Ka Suo, finding her confidence in her "mistake" unusual, presented her with a kite. He instructed her to read the inscription: "The broken string releases all disasters; Li Luo will be safe." Ka Suo explained that in the mortal realm, a broken kite string symbolizes the departure of calamities.

He then declared that her punishment for future self-endangering actions would be to fly a kite until its string broke, assuring her it would break when he willed it. He then used his magic to sever the string, sending the kite soaring away, carrying with it his silent prayer for Li Luo's safety. Yue Zhao, having recovered, informed Huang Tuo she would not marry him.

She explained that experiencing a brush with death made her realize the cruelty of forcing a marriage without love, and she formally broke off their engagement. To Ka Suo's surprise, Huang Tuo was ecstatic, repeatedly thanking Yue Zhao for her decision, as it meant he was free to pursue Yue Shen. As Ka Suo prepared to depart, Huang Tuo offered him the Ice Crystal.

Ka Suo expressed his concern that accepting it would signify the Healer Tribe declaring war on the Fire Tribe. However, Huang Tuo affirmed that the Fire Tribe's cruelty warranted the enmity of all, and it was a worthy cause for a friend like Ka Suo.

Though Ka Suo felt remorse for involving the Healer Tribe in the War of Ice and Fire, Li Luo reassured him, emphasizing that it was the only way to save Ying Kong Shi and the Ice Tribe, and that Huang Tuo had made his decision wholeheartedly. With the Ice Crystal in hand, Ka Suo and Li Luo resolved to journey to the next location: the Dream Tribe.

Ka Suo entrusted the Ice Crystal to Ying Kong Shi, instructing him to exchange it for the Heart-Burning Fruit antidote. Ying Kong Shi approached Yan Da, fabricating a story about having stolen the Ice Crystal from the Healer Tribe Chief's secret room. Yan Da, initially planning to forcibly seize it, was pleased by his initiative.

When Ying Kong Shi requested the antidote, Yan Da only provided a 10-day supply, stating she wouldn't let him go, as she found him "fun" and enjoyed "taming" him. News soon spread that the Fire Tribe had stolen the Healer Tribe's ancient Ice Crystal, provoking widespread anger. Meanwhile, Yan Da, rigorously practicing her whip skills, was informed that Ka Suo had been sighted at Southern Spring Lake.

Believing the report, she immediately set out to capture him, unaware that her brother, Shuo Gang, had leaked the false information, hoping she would experience another failure. Ka Suo and Li Luo eventually reached the Dream Tribe, noted by Li Luo as a mysterious place rarely visited by outsiders. They found the main gate locked in broad daylight and the entire town strangely deserted.

Their confusion deepened when they heard the calls of a night watchman, declaring, "The weather is dry; beware of flammable objects," in the middle of the day, a phenomenon that greatly puzzled them. After her fruitless chase for Ka Suo, Yan Da was confronted by Shuo Gang. He taunted her about her failures and lack of improvement over the past century, claiming their father had sent him to assist her.

Yan Da angrily rejected his help, vowing to prove her own capabilities. Shuo Gang then informed her that the next Ice Crystal was located in the Dream Tribe before leaving her.
