Ka Suo gently bandaged Li Luo's wound as she expressed her unease, stating that she didn't hate Lan Shang but in her memories, she felt she shouldn't belong to him. Ka Suo reassured her, promising to one day dispel all her worries. The next morning, Li Tianjin, still masked, respectfully approached Ka Suo. Ka Suo thanked him for defeating the Fire King, which allowed Lan Shang to remain.

Li Tianjin then requested a reward, asking to borrow Ka Suo's God Devouring Sword. Ka Suo readily agreed, giving him the sword without questioning his motives. As Li Tianjin skillfully wielded the sword, Ka Suo observed his movements, remarking that they were strikingly familiar, much like his own brother's. Suddenly, Li Tianjin turned the sword and lunged at Ka Suo. Meanwhile, in Li Luo’s chamber, Lan Shang suddenly felt a premonition of danger for the King.

She noticed Li Luo's bracelet glowing blue and explained that it contained Ka Suo's blood, alerting them if either was in peril. The two women rushed to the Falling Sakura Slope, where they found Ka Suo battling Li Tianjin. Li Luo attempted to intervene, but Li Tianjin swiftly seized her. Ka Suo offered himself in exchange for Li Luo's freedom, but Li Tianjin demanded Lan Shang as well, saying he hadn't yet had enough "play."

He declared that harming Li Luo and Lan Shang would inflict far greater pain on Ka Suo than simply killing him. He further revealed that Lan Shang’s mysterious Frozen Disease could only be unfrozen by his unique magic, without which she would soon freeze to death. Faced with this impossible choice, Ka Suo, despite Lan Shang’s protests, ordered her to go with Li Tianjin to save her life. Li Tianjin then abducted both women.

In a desperate move, Ka Suo shattered Li Tianjin's mask with his magic, revealing his long-lost younger brother, Ying Kong Shi. Ka Suo gasped in shock, calling out his brother's name. Ying Kong Shi, however, chillingly stated that he remembered Ka Suo as the one who had killed him. He warned Ka Suo that if he wanted to see Li Luo and Lan Shang again, he must come to the Fire Tribe alone within three days, or they would die.

Shortly after, Huang Tuo arrived, confirming it was indeed the revived Ying Kong Shi and bewildered by his hostile actions toward Ka Suo. Back at the Fire Tribe, Li Tianjin reported to the Fire King. He explained that Ka Suo recognizing him was beneficial, as it solidified his resolve. The Fire King questioned why he hadn't killed Ka Suo but brought the two women instead.

Li Tianjin clarified his intention was to ensure an undisturbed duel with Ka Suo, and having Li Luo and Lan Shang guaranteed Ka Suo would accept his challenge. The Fire King agreed, and Li Tianjin ordered the women to be imprisoned while he secluded himself to become stronger, forbidding anyone from disturbing him before Ka Suo's arrival. The Ice Tribe allies grappled with the perplexing transformation of Ying Kong Shi.

Mermaid Saint reminded them that Ying Kong Shi had willingly sacrificed his spiritual powers to Ka Suo to defeat Yuan Ji, making his current desire for revenge inexplicable. Ka Suo theorized that Ying Kong Shi might have lost his memories, much like Li Luo and Lan Shang. However, Yue Shen argued that memory loss would only lead to forgetting, not hatred or the false belief that Ka Suo had killed him.

As they pondered, Chief Dreamer Xing Jiu, despite his illness, arrived. He announced that the answers lay within "Queen Li Jing's" (Li Luo's) dream. He explained that Li Luo had approached him previously about restless sleep, and he had extracted her dream into a dream source, which they could now enter to find the truth.

Entering the dream, which contained memories of Ka Suo and Li Luo, Yue Shen noticed a peculiar detail: the perspective was as if a soul had left its body, suggesting the dreamer was not seeing herself. Ka Suo realized that if Li Luo were truly the observer, she would be standing elsewhere. Upon closer inspection, they discovered that the true dreamer was Lan Shang.

This revelation led them to the startling conclusion that Li Luo's consciousness had swapped with Lan Shang's, and vice versa. Xing Jiu's discovery, though unbelievable, explained the recent contradictions: "Li Luo's" unfamiliarity with mortal customs like drinking wine, eating prawns, or riding horses, and her newfound knowledge of how to cure mermaids who consumed mortal food. Ka Suo then recalled Yuan Ji's curse, which foretold eternal separation from his loved ones, realizing it might be connected to their current predicament.

To seek further answers, Ka Suo led his companions to Die Che. She explained the profound meaning of the Hidden Lotus: "If there are gains, there will surely be losses." Ka Suo realized that his wish to revive Li Luo, Lan Shang, and Ying Kong Shi had come at the cost of their memories and Ying Kong Shi's trust in him.

Yue Shen questioned the lotus's malevolence, but Die Che clarified that its power originated from the desires of living beings, not inherent evil. Ka Suo resolved to correct everything, but Die Che admitted she had no direct solution. She suggested returning to Divine Snow Mountain to find the Hidden Lotus sprite before the flower withered, hoping it might offer a way to reverse the effects. Meanwhile, imprisoned in the Fire Tribe, Li Luo and Lan Shang conversed.

Li Luo expressed her dismay at Ying Kong Shi's cold demeanor and his intention to harm Ka Suo. She questioned how Lan Shang had known about the bracelet's ability to signal Ka Suo's danger. Lan Shang admitted that Ka Suo had told her about it, and while the bracelet belonged to Li Luo, she often experienced vivid memories that didn't feel like her own.

Li Luo confessed to experiencing similar strange memories, and a glimmer of understanding sparked between them about their swapped identities. Yan Da confronted Li Tianjin, questioning why he still wore his mask now that Ka Suo knew his true identity. Li Tianjin adamantly insisted he was Li Tianjin, not Ying Kong Shi. Yan Da urged him to listen to his heart and not pursue revenge against Ka Suo if he truly didn't want to.

However, a persistent voice in Li Tianjin's mind relentlessly echoed, "Kill Ka Suo." Yan Da recounted a story of her former servant, Yun Fei, who left her to become someone else, emphasizing that Li Tianjin should trust the voice of his truest self. After she left, the internal urging to "Kill Ka Suo" intensified, and Li Tianjin, in turmoil, tore off his mask. Separately, the Fire King engaged in a manipulative negotiation with Mermaid Saint.

He proposed a deal concerning Lan Shang's life, knowing only Ying Kong Shi possessed the magic to cure her Frozen Disease. He offered to have Ying Kong Shi release vital energy to heal and free Lan Shang if Mermaid Saint, in turn, would fill the Endless Sea. Mermaid Saint immediately recognized this as a ploy to create a land bridge for the Fire Tribe to attack the Ice Tribe and refused.

However, the Fire King callously pressed her, asking if she truly wished to lose Lan Shang again. Back in the Ice Tribe, Ka Suo informed his allies of his decision to re-enter Divine Snow Mountain, convinced that his wish was the root of all their current misfortunes. He instructed Chief Dreamer Xing Jiu to guard the Three Realms for three days, assuring them of his swift return. News of Ka Suo's departure reached the Fire King via his spy, Phoenix.

Seizing the opportunity, the Fire King decided to launch a surprise attack on the City of Bladed Snow, recognizing Ka Suo as their most formidable opponent. The Ice King and his council, anticipating the inevitable war, prepared to defend the city until Ka Suo's return, with Xing Jiu devising a strategic plan. The Ice King ordered all armies to be ready for battle and for the immediate evacuation of all citizens from the City of Bladed Snow to safeguard them from harm.
