In the Fire City, Yan Da instructed her guards to increase patrols. During a patrol, they unexpectedly discovered a severed hand. The Mermaid Saint accompanied Lan Shang to the City of Bladed Snow. Overjoyed by the diverse peoples and activities, Lan Shang eagerly ran off to explore, despite the Saint's protests. She noticed the Dream Tribe members sleeping during the day, which she learned was because they worked at night to interpret dreams for the Three Realms.
Later, she found her favorite noodle soup and also requested grilled fish and sashimi. However, the fish cried out to her, begging for their lives. Realizing they were fellow aquatic creatures, Lan Shang felt remorse, wondering how she could have eaten her own kind in the past. She purchased all the fish to save them and decided to eat only vegetarian food, settling for a bowl of noodles.
Meanwhile, in Fire City, the Fire King questioned Phoenix about the discovered hand, which belonged to Phoenix's deputy. Phoenix explained his deputy had disappeared days ago, and he initially suspected desertion. He then raised concerns about a possible spy within the Fire Tribe due to the deputy's injury. The Fire King dismissed the spy theory, suggesting the injury might be from an enemy ambush in the Divine Snow Mountain.
He instructed Phoenix to ensure his subordinates were more careful and ordered Yan Da to thoroughly check all gods visiting the Fire Tribe to prevent any infiltrators. After Phoenix left, Yan Da inquired about Li Tianjin. The Fire King stated there was no news and that he had no intention of assisting Li Tianjin, merely advising them to focus on their own duties, which he implied involved the upcoming Ice Tribe alliance assembly.
Lan Shang, still under the influence of the mortal food, acted as if drunk, singing a snowman song. Li Luo and a realm guardian arrived and observed Lan Shang's antics, noting her resemblance to a drunken Li Luo. Li Luo recalled the Mermaid Saint warning her that mermaids would become intoxicated after consuming mortal food. She instructed the realm guardian to intervene, emphasizing that such behavior was improper for a Mermaid Princess.
Li Luo then brought Lan Shang back to the City of Bladed Snow and offered her water from the Endless Sea to cleanse her system, explaining that mortal food had upset her stomach. Lan Shang recognized Li Luo and drank the water. Shortly after, the Mermaid Saint arrived, chastising Lan Shang for disobeying warnings about mortal food. Li Luo greeted the Saint warmly, feeling a sense of familiarity.
However, the Saint seemed distant, focusing solely on Lan Shang and her condition, making Li Luo feel estranged. The unity banquet for the Bear Tribe and Sprite Lands was proceeding somberly. Huang Tuo suggested that Chao Ya play her zither to lighten the mood, but she declined. Yue Shen, observing Huang Tuo's lack of tact, proposed a game to entertain everyone. She had Huang Tuo hold an apple in his mouth while she, blindfolded, swung her sword, barely missing him.
The display drew cheers and laughter from the crowd. Just then, a familiar zither melody began, once again causing the Bear Tribe and Sprite Lands members to become enraged and begin fighting. The group traced the music to Die Che, who declared her desire for another competition with Chao Ya. She argued that their previous contest at Divine Snow Mountain was unfair as Chao Ya had relied on Ka Suo’s power.
Die Che asserted that now, with the two tribes merged, the strongest should rule, and as the original Sprite Queen and Chao Ya's ancestor, she was the rightful leader. Chao Ya remained still, unable to play her zither or defend herself against Die Che's magical music. Die Che taunted her, questioning how an ordinary sprite who could no longer play her zither could claim to be the Sprite Queen, the most musically gifted among all gods.
She then warned Chao Ya that she would directly seize the queenship next time before departing. Later, Chao Ya confessed her inability to play the zither to Xing Jiu. She revealed that since returning from Divine Snow Mountain, her tears had run dry, and her music now contained nothing but sorrow. When she tried to play, flowers would wither, and sprites would weep in pain. Her music, she felt, had died with Liao Jian and Pian Feng.
Believing herself unfit to rule, Chao Ya considered abdicating and returning the Sprite Lands to Die Che. Xing Jiu urged her to find a new reason to live, to which Chao Ya tearfully asked what reason remained for her. At that moment, the sounds of the Bear Tribe and Sprite Lands members outside loudly chanting "Queen Chao Ya!" reached them.
Seeing their devotion, Xing Jiu reminded her that despite losing important people, they still had each other and many reasons to live. Huang Tuo, too, added himself as one of her reasons to live. Ka Suo went to Li Luo's room, only to find a still-intoxicated Lan Shang lying on the bed. Believing she was dreaming, Lan Shang embraced Ka Suo. Just then, Li Luo walked in and witnessed the scene, her heart sinking.
Lan Shang asked for water, which Ka Suo provided. She then tearfully questioned why Ka Suo was only kind to her in her dreams, and why upon waking, his eyes were only for Li Luo. She recalled him courting her and saying he loved her first, lamenting how he no longer looked at her the same way.
Lan Shang then called out for "Turnip" to take her flying, leaving Ka Suo puzzled as to how she knew his spirit lion's name. Overwhelmed, Li Luo turned and fled. Ka Suo pursued Li Luo, catching and embracing her before carrying her back to their room. Li Luo, still upset, asked if he truly loved her. Ka Suo reaffirmed his love, but Li Luo confessed she constantly felt he didn't.
When Ka Suo tried to kiss her, Li Luo initially resisted. Ka Suo gently offered to step back if she didn't want him near, but insisted he wouldn't let her go too far. Tears welled in Li Luo's eyes as she pressed him again, "Do you really like me?"
Ka Suo steadfastly declared that his answer would always be the same, no matter how many times she asked, expressing his desire for her to stay with him for at least 270 years, to which Li Luo sadly noted her mortal lifespan. Ka Suo then kissed her again, and this time, Li Luo no longer resisted, finally accepting his affection. Back in Fire City, the Fire King continued to torment Phoenix's deputy, who begged for release.
The Fire King cruelly informed him that he would soon be "free" by becoming a part of him. He then extracted the deputy's vital energy and consumed it. The following morning, Lan Shang awoke to find the Mermaid Saint beside her. Her memory of the previous night was hazy after eating the noodle soup, though she vaguely recalled being in Ka Suo's arms, which brought a fleeting moment of joy.
Upon leaving the room, she encountered Li Luo and apologized for occupying her room. Li Luo nonchalantly replied that it was fine, as she had spent the night in the King's room. A wave of sadness washed over Lan Shang, and she realized she still held Ka Suo's forgotten ring. The alliance assembly of various tribes was officially convened, with Ka Suo presiding in royal attire.
He declared that the alliance between the Divine Snow Mountain, the gods, and the Three Realms would operate on principles of peaceful coexistence, strictly adhering to the Fallen Oracle's precepts: those who harm others will harm themselves, god-killers will be exiled to the Northern Expanse, and warmongers will be punished by the Three Realms. The ultimate goal was mutual survival and coexistence. Ka Suo called upon the representatives to forge the alliance with their vital energy.
Representatives from various tribes, including the Mermaid Tribe and Realm Guardians, stepped forward to pledge their allegiance, solidifying the pact. Following the alliance, Ka Suo honored Li Luo and Lan Shang for their contributions in establishing the first allies. He conferred upon Princess Lan Shang the title of Jian Tong Saint and crowned Li Luo as Queen Li Jing.
Looking at Li Luo, Ka Suo then announced that he had discovered a way to ensure she could stay with him for 270 years. He then extended his hand, summoning a ring that had been inadvertently left with Lan Shang, revealing its true intended recipient.
