Ka Suo and his companions entered the Heavenly Palace, where they found Yuan Ji and Lian Ji standing side by side. Yuan Ji gazed at them with a cruel expression, declaring that the Hidden Lotus bloomed once every ten thousand years and their presence to witness it meant their impending death would be worthwhile. Ka Suo defiantly retorted that with this blossoming, they intended to destroy Yuan Ji. Yuan Ji then called upon Lian Ji to join forces against them.
Lian Ji, glaring at Ka Suo, proclaimed, "You're thinking too highly of yourself and think that you're gods. Today, we'll show you who the real god is!" With that, she and Yuan Ji engaged Ka Suo and his allies in battle. During the intense fight, Ka Suo was at a disadvantage and lost the God Devouring Sword. Phoenix picked up the sword, gloating that it would be the end of the little sword spirit.
Fortunately, Yan Da arrived just in time to rescue the sword spirit, Ying Kong Shi, who was oblivious to the danger. He simply complained to Yan Da, asking where she had been and lamenting that he had no one to play with. Yan Da hushed him, explaining that it was not the time for games, as she and Ka Suo were fighting for his very survival.
She then telekinetically passed the God Devouring Sword back to Ka Suo and engaged Yuan Ji. The small sword spirit sat to the side, told by Yan Da not to run around, delightedly watching the gods fight, excited by the prospect of acquiring their vital energies to fulfill his dreams of becoming a big sword spirit. Lian Ji, hearing the sword spirit's familiar voice, became momentarily distraught. " My son! It really is you?" she exclaimed.
The sword spirit did not recognize her, but Lian Ji, certain he was Ying Kong Shi's vital energy, became emotional. " I am your mother, do you not recognize me, Shi?" she asked. Ying Kong Shi, however, found it strange, remarking, "Someone was trying to be my brother and now someone is trying to be my mother." At this moment, Phoenix stepped forward, offering to protect Ying Kong Shi.
Yan Da immediately objected, warning Lian Ji that if she handed Ying Kong Shi over to Phoenix, his last glimmer of life would be extinguished. She revealed that she had personally overheard Yuan Ji saying he did not wish to revive Ying Kong Shi, but rather intended to use the Hidden Lotus to revive himself and become the sole god. Yan Da emphasized that only Ka Suo sincerely desired Ying Kong Shi's resurrection. Yuan Ji flew to Lian Ji's side.
Lian Ji confronted him, demanding to know if he intended to destroy her son's vital energy. Yuan Ji denied it, urging her to focus on their battle against the intruders and discuss other matters later. However, Lian Ji had sensed Yuan Ji's malicious intent towards Ying Kong Shi and realized she had been deceived. Yuan Ji cared only for the Hidden Lotus and becoming the only true god.
When Lian Ji firmly declared her only desire was for her son, Ying Kong Shi, Yuan Ji gave an evil smile and suggested they could have more sons. He then possessed Lian Ji's body, merging with her. With their combined power significantly increased, Ka Suo and the others were quickly overwhelmed and severely injured. Yan Da attempted to escape with Ka Suo, but Lian Ji, under Yuan Ji's control, blocked their path. The sword spirit rushed to help but collapsed.
For a brief moment, Lian Ji regained consciousness, crying out, "Don't hurt Shi!" The sword spirit then stood before Yan Da and Ka Suo, declaring, "You can't kill either of them! When I was hungry, one of them fed me her vital energy, and the other is someone I couldn't even bear to eat when I was hungry. So you can't kill them." Lian Ji, controlled by Yuan Ji, raised her sword to strike the sword spirit.
Lian Ji struggled internally, while Ka Suo, summoning his remaining strength, blocked the attack with the God Devouring Sword. Lian Ji was injured, and Yuan Ji was forced out of her body. Yuan Ji commanded Lian Ji to take the sword and kill Ka Suo. Lian Ji, mustering her last bit of strength, picked up the God Devouring Sword and approached Ka Suo. The sword spirit once again shielded Ka Suo, protesting, "You can't kill him!"
Lian Ji looked at the sword spirit, her eyes filled with emotion. " Shi, no matter what you become, you still hold on to the relationships you once cherished most. My child, I won't let you ever get hurt again," she said. Yuan Ji continued to demand Ka Suo's death. As Lian Ji wrestled with her conscience, Yuan Ji re-entered her body, his cold eyes staring at everyone.
From within Lian Ji, Yuan Ji's voice echoed, "Ka Suo, eventually you will die by my hand." Just as the sword was about to strike, Lian Ji paused. Looking at Yuan Ji, she declared, "You lied to me. Since you're so cruel that you want to kill my Shi, I am forced to kill you to protect Shi." With that, she plunged the sword into herself. The sword spirit gasped in shock, covering his mouth.
As Lian Ji fell, memories of happier days flashed through her mind. Finally, the sword spirit remembered, crying out, "Mother." Yuan Ji was in agony, screaming, "No! You can't die! I want to be with you for thousands and tens of thousands of years!" Yuan Ji then transformed into a black mist, lamenting the price of his immortality: losing his one true love. " I won't accept this! I'm going to destroy the Hidden Lotus!" he declared.
Ka Suo urged Yuan Ji to abandon his vengeful path, but Yuan Ji furiously cursed Ka Suo: "Ka Suo, I'll curse you with my hatred built up for 10,000 years. One day, you will become just like me. You will be separated from your love forever and suffer for an eternity." Near the Hidden Lotus lay the vital energies of the Ice Queen, Liao Jian, Pian Feng, and Xin Jue.
Yuan Ji had forcibly extracted and half-destroyed them, leaving a black seal on their foreheads, which meant that even with the Hidden Lotus, they could not be revived. The Hidden Lotus required the vital energies of various tribes to bloom. Ka Suo hesitated, knowing that plucking the lotus would mean the permanent loss of the Ice Queen and the others. However, the Hidden Lotus bloomed only once every ten thousand years, and time was critical.
Chao Ya and the others urged him to act, "The flower is blooming, there's no time. Your Majesty, we really cannot wait any longer!" Finally, Ka Suo made his decision. Everyone contributed their vital energy. The sword spirit watched, bewildered. The combined energies brought the Hidden Lotus to full bloom, revealing a beautiful woman within who asked Ka Suo for his wish. " I want Li Luo and Lan Shang to become conscious again.
I want my younger brother, Ying Kong Shi, to be revived," Ka Suo stated. " As you wish," the lotus spirit replied. Lan Shang's body slowly rose. The sword spirit, however, felt a strange discomfort, a burning sensation as if he were melting. Ka Suo reassured him, "Shi, don't be scared. You will be fine soon. You will soon be revived."
Yan Da offered to take the sword spirit with her, promising to make him happy and protect him even if he remained small forever. But the sword spirit refused, stating that his "food," Ka Suo, was the one who woke him from the sword, and he wanted to stay with his "feast." Ka Suo looked at him, saying, "When we meet again, everything will return back to how it was before."
As they all exited the Divine Snow Mountain, Yan Da held a small flame. After a brief exchange where they acknowledged their roles as enemies and agreed to part ways, Yan Da smiled faintly as she told the sword spirit, "Ying Kongshi, I hope we meet again soon." Yan Da thought to herself, "Ying Kongshi, you are still so heartless. But as long as you're happy, it's fine." She then prepared to depart.
Ka Suo thanked her, but Yan Da clarified that her actions were for Ying Kong Shi. She asked Ka Suo to protect him well once he returned to the Ice Tribe. The Mermaid Saint greeted the returning group, happily informing them that Lan Shang had woken up. Everyone expressed relief, believing the Hidden Lotus had fulfilled Ka Suo's wishes for revival. Meanwhile, Lan Shang, in a dream, had seen herself embracing a handsome man, but his face was unclear.
Her own vibrant eyes, no longer joyful or sad as before, were now filled with emptiness and questions. " Who is he? Who actually is he? Why is it when I am with him, I feel so happy?" she wondered. Upon waking, she saw Ka Suo but did not recognize him. The Mermaid Saint explained that Lan Shang had lost many memories.
Lan Shang, however, felt confused, wondering why the man in her dream loved her, but the Ka Suo she saw now seemed to avoid her and lacked that affection. Ka Suo returned to the City of Bladed Snow, where the Ice King greeted him joyfully. Li Luo had also awakened, but she too had lost her memories. The Ice King told Li Luo, "Everything he did was for you. Go."
After the initial happiness, Ka Suo noticed a crucial absence and anxiously asked, "Father, why don't I see Shi? Where is Shi? Shouldn't he have woken up, too?" The Ice King looked at the empty coffin with a complex expression, remaining silent for a long moment. A sense of foreboding filled Ka Suo as he whispered, "Shi. . . What's wrong with Shi?"
In the Fire City, Yan Da reported to Fire King about her time in the Divine Snow Mountain and apologized for not retrieving the Hidden Lotus. Fire King was displeased but did not punish her. He instructed her to rest and prepare for the Holy Fire Banquet the next day. Yan Da found this strange, as the banquet was traditionally held only once every thousand years and it was not yet time.
Fire King, gleefully, stated he could hold it daily if he wished, adding that the heavens had bestowed a great gift upon the Fire Tribe. The next day, Yan Da watched as a young man fought against the Fire Tribe's generals. She asked if he was merely a practice partner, to which Fire King proudly proclaimed, "Don't look down on him. Our generals will soon become his warm-up partners."
Yan Da was skeptical until she saw the man easily defeat his opponent. Fire King then loudly announced, "Li Tianjin wins!" Yan Da, curious, asked who Li Tianjin was. Fire King explained that Li Tianjin was a revived individual and the Fire Tribe's new hope. Yan Da gazed at the tall, masked figure standing in the arena.
