The God Devouring Sword suddenly appeared in the Divine Snow Mountain, and having been stained with a god's blood, it produced a new sword spirit that looked exactly like Ying Kongshi. Ka Suo was overjoyed, recognizing his brother, but the sword spirit didn't recognize Ka Suo or even know the name Ying Kongshi. It proclaimed itself merely a sword spirit with no name and demanded a price for being awakened.
The others questioned why the sword spirit had taken Ying Kongshi's form, and it was explained that a part of Ying Kongshi's energy, upon his death, had attached to the sword, creating this new spirit. The Grand Priestess, who had also awakened, dismissed the sword spirit as weak. She explained that previous sword spirits were powerful due to accumulating thousands of years of vengeful spirits, but this new one was fresh and feeble.
Ka Suo declared that he would wait for the sword spirit to grow powerful enough to take his life, which prompted the spirit to retreat back into the God Devouring Sword to sleep. Ka Suo urged the Grand Priestess to concede, but she cryptically spoke of red lotuses blooming, binary stars meeting, and the spinning wheel of destiny, stating her own destiny was to wait for him there. She then unexpectedly attacked Ka Suo and pushed others away.
Ka Suo was in agony, but Xing Jiu realized she was transferring her spiritual powers to him. The Grand Priestess explained that as the Grand Priestess of the Divine Snow Mountain, she had stood guard for years, compelled either to prevent his entry or ensure his safe return. She revealed that when Ka Suo was a child, he fell gravely ill, beyond the help of even the best healers.
To save him, she invoked the forbidden Fallen Oracle, which guided her to the Lian Qiu Island in the Endless Sea. There, a black mist identifying itself as the "god of gods" appeared. It informed her that to reach the Divine Snow Mountain, one needed a Teardrop Charm and had to pass through the Endless Sea. To save Ka Suo, water from the Divine Snow Mountain's lake was essential.
The black mist offered to provide the lake water and help her find the mountain, on the condition that she become the Grand Priestess and, in the event of a foreign invasion, protect the Divine Snow Mountain with her life. The Grand Priestess agreed, unaware that the foreign invader she vowed to protect the mountain from would be Ka Suo himself.
The group finally understood the Grand Priestess's predicament, and Ka Suo expressed his deep gratitude, acknowledging that she had changed his fate. The Grand Priestess confirmed that her promise to Yuan Ji prevented her from revealing her identity unless defeated, which now meant the contract was broken. As a consequence, she would no longer be a god.
She then encouraged Ka Suo to courageously face his destiny, promising to return to the Forest of Snow and Fog while urging him to continue his quest. Yan Da, having observed all these events from a distance, saw the sword spirit resembling Ying Kongshi. Huang Tuo found Yue Shen still awake, and Yue Shen revealed that the woman resembling Yue Zhao was actually her twin sister, Yue Leng, and confessed that she felt responsible for Yue Leng's death.
She explained that unlike her talented sisters who excelled in healing, she was born with a lethal aura, making her unfit for medicine. Her parents sent her to learn poisons and assassination, a path she resented. She often snuck home, where Yue Leng, who loved her more than their parents, would protect her and dissuade their parents from forcing her into the study of poisons, promising to care for her. However, a man whom Yue Leng rejected later poisoned her.
Unable to identify or cure the poison, Yue Shen could only watch her sister die. Heartbroken, she lamented that if she had mastered assassination techniques then, she could have saved Yue Leng, and vowed to become strong enough to protect those she cared for. Huang Tuo comforted Yue Shen, telling her that using her assassination skills to eliminate evil was akin to saving good people, and that Yue Leng would be proud of her.
In turn, Yue Shen reassured Huang Tuo, urging him not to blame himself for his father's actions, as his deeds in saving the Healer Tribe and other tribes had accumulated enough merit to atone for his father's sins. Deeply moved, Huang Tuo embraced Yue Shen, who, this time, did not resist.
Ka Suo attempted to summon the sword spirit from the God Devouring Sword, but received no response, realizing the spirit had wandered off to play, just as Ying Kongshi used to. Meanwhile, the sword spirit encountered Yan Da, but, like Ka Suo, didn't recognize her. Yan Da, unfazed, shared some of her vital energy with the weak sword spirit, who gleefully demanded more and even tried to absorb all of her energy, attacking her.
Yan Da easily fended off the attack, playfully reminding the spirit of their past and asserting that she was his best friend and the only one who would play with him. They then began to play together joyfully. Huang Tuo revealed that Xing Jiu's injuries were severe and could only be truly cured with a special medicine found at the Healer Tribe.
Ka Suo suggested Xing Jiu return with the Grand Priestess, but Xing Jiu was reluctant, wanting to continue aiding the group. Unexpectedly, Xing Gui arrived, having borrowed a Teardrop Charm from the Mermaid Saint to join them. She declared her intention to take her brother's place, expressing regret for their past conflict and affirming her love for him.
Despite Xing Jiu's objections, Ka Suo, prioritizing Xing Jiu's life, agreed to Xing Gui's offer, promising Xing Jiu that he would protect Xing Gui with his own life. As everyone bid farewell to the Grand Priestess and Xing Jiu, the Grand Priestess imparted crucial advice to Ka Suo.
She warned that although the Divine Snow Mountain appeared identical to the City of Bladed Snow, it was fundamentally different: a world where heaven and earth were reversed, reality distorted, and fairness and justice did not exist. She urged him not to trust others, or even his own senses, but to protect his heart from delusion, emphasizing that there was no gain, no loss, no life, and no death.
She then instructed them to head east, defeat the four guardian gods, and open the four cardinal enchantment doors to find Yuan Ji, the only one who knew the location of the Hidden Lotus. In the Divine Snow Mountain, Lian Ji expressed concern over the Grand Priestess's failure, but Yuan Ji found it amusing to watch the Ice Tribe members fight amongst themselves, noting Ka Suo had nearly killed his own grandmother.
Lian Ji questioned why Yuan Ji wasn't moving to kill Ka Suo and avenge Ying Kongshi. Yuan Ji, however, told her not to rush, explaining that the Grand Priestess was merely an initial obstacle. He revealed that Ka Suo's group was headed to the White Tiger Destruction Temple, where the fury of the God of Extinguishing War awaited them.
Yuan Ji vowed to repay She Mi's betrayal and the death of his son a thousandfold to his descendants, asserting that the blooming of the Hidden Lotus would signal the destruction of all things, leaving only the "god of gods" remaining. As Ka Suo and his companions journeyed, Xing Gui began to tire.
Ka Suo offered to carry her, but Pian Feng stepped forward, volunteering to carry her instead, lightheartedly remarking that it would prevent Xing Jiu from retaliating by giving them nightmares. After traveling for a long time, the group decided to rest. Huang Tuo set up two small tents, leading Liao Jian to volunteer to sleep outside since the other tent was too small for the four men.
Pian Feng then confronted Liao Jian, demanding to know why he was Liao Jian's inner demon. Liao Jian tried to deflect, but Pian Feng pressed, asking if Liao Jian knew about his feelings for Chao Ya. Liao Jian admitted he knew of Pian Feng's childhood connection with Chao Ya, but explained that Queen Chi Lian had encouraged him to pursue Chao Ya while forbidding her to marry Pian Feng.
Liao Jian claimed he waited until Pian Feng left to pursue Chao Ya openly, but confessed his insecurity, wondering if Chao Ya would choose him in a fair competition. Without further words, Pian Feng attacked, and Liao Jian readily fought back until Chao Ya appeared and stopped their clash. While the others rested, Huang Tuo and Xing Gui were suddenly attacked by a mysterious man. The rest of the group quickly came to their aid.
Despite being attacked, Xing Gui and Huang Tuo tended to the man's wounds. The stranger revealed himself to be Qing Long, the Eastern Guardian. He explained that the Divine Snow Mountain operated under the rule of "winner takes all," where only the strongest became guardian gods, leading to constant conflict among them. He confessed that the Western Guardian, Qing Ren, had defeated him and taken control of the White Tiger Destruction Temple.
Ka Suo demanded that Qing Long lead them to Qing Ren, and Qing Long, realizing he had no choice, reluctantly agreed. They arrived at what Qing Long claimed was the White Tiger Destruction Temple's barrier, but the others saw no entrance. Qing Long explained that the guardian temples were protected by enchantments, visible only to those who were invited or were guardian gods themselves.
To enter, Qing Long instructed everyone to extend their hands, and he placed a wristband on each of them. With that, he led the group, and they vanished, seemingly entering the hidden temple. Yan Da, watching from afar as the group disappeared, was left with a sense of helplessness.
