Amidst the clashing armies, Ying Kong Shi recalled a past scene in Fire City. Fire King Huo Yi, claiming his injuries had not fully healed and he couldn't lead the front lines, proposed a strategy: Yan Da was to use Xing Gui and Huang Mao to distract the Ice Tribe army on the battlefield, while an infiltrator would secretly enter the City of Bladed Snow to retrieve the God Devouring Sword.

Ying Kong Shi recalled that as the infiltrator, his plan was to retrieve the sword, then save Shuo Gang and Lian Ji, and finally battle his way out to the Endless Sea. Following this thought, Ying Kong Shi vanished from the Fire Tribe's ranks. In the City of Bladed Snow, Ying Kong Shi sent a voice message to the Mermaid Saint, identifying himself.

He then freed Shuo Gang from captivity, despite Shuo Gang's initial suspicion, who questioned if Ying Kong Shi truly meant him well, recalling a previous attempt on his life. Ying Kong Shi admitted he wouldn't have released Shuo Gang if he didn't need Huo Yi's army to divert the Ice King. Believing Huo Yi had arrived, Shuo Gang eagerly suggested they unite to dominate the Three Realms, thanking Ying Kong Shi as he boarded a waiting boat.

As the boat sailed into the middle of the sea, the boatman suddenly transformed into the Mermaid Saint. Shuo Gang realized Ying Kong Shi had tricked him. The Mermaid Saint confirmed she had enchanted the boat, making escape impossible. Shuo Gang, in a display of bravado, threatened the Mermaid Tribe with the wrath of the Fire Tribe. The Mermaid Saint declared that while her tribe usually kept to themselves, she would not forgive the Fire Tribe's actions.

Shuo Gang scoffed, bringing up Lan Shang's unrequited love for Ka Suo and his own "kind" offer to make her a Fire Princess Consort, daring the "puny Mermaid Tribe" to do anything. The Mermaid Saint, enraged by his insolence, swiftly bound Shuo Gang with seaweed and dragged him into the Endless Sea, declaring that the citizens of the Endless Sea would punish him.

As Shuo Gang's pleas faded, the Mermaid Saint resolved that from that day forward, the Mermaid Tribe would fight on the side of good. Meanwhile, on the battlefield, Yan Da heard Fire King Huo Yi's anguished cry. He informed her that Shuo Gang had died and that Ying Kong Shi had tricked them. Enraged, Huo Yi immediately ordered Yan Da to kill Xing Gui and Huang Mao for revenge.

In an alley of the City of Bladed Snow, the black fog appeared, questioning Ying Kong Shi's decision to kill Shuo Gang. Ying Kong Shi explained it was part of his plan, adding that once the city learned of his presence, soldiers would flood the area. He suggested the black fog use this opportunity to rescue Lian Ji. The black fog, though suspecting Ying Kong Shi had other motives, agreed and went to save Lian Ji.

On the main battlefield, the Ice King noted Ying Kong Shi's absence. Xing Old immediately suspected the Fire Tribe was using a diversionary tactic, and the Ice King then ordered his forces to prioritize rescuing their captives. Inside the City of Bladed Snow, Ka Suo tried to defend Ying Kong Shi to Qin Chu and other guards, arguing that they once respected Shi as king and should listen to his explanation, believing Shi must be in a difficult situation.

At that moment, Ying Kong Shi appeared, dismissing the guards as "weaklings" and easily defeating them. Ka Suo implored him to stop harming people. Ying Kong Shi coldly stated that Ka Suo was no longer his older brother and demanded the God Devouring Sword. Ka Suo asked his reason, and Ying Kong Shi declared his need for it to "kill a god" and seek revenge for his past sufferings in the Ice Tribe.

When Ka Suo refused, Ying Kong Shi reminded him that as the sword's sheath, finding Ka Suo meant finding the sword itself. Looking at Ka Suo's distressed expression after being subdued, Ying Kong Shi smiled faintly, declaring, "Found it." On the battlefield, as Yan Da prepared to follow Huo Yi's command, Xing Old, Chao Ya, Pian Feng, Yue Shen, and Liao Jian arrived to protect Xing Gui and Huang Mao.

Xing Gui told Yan Da that Ying Kong Shi had asked her to convey a message: he was sorry, and everything was part of his plan, urging her to leave quickly. Understanding the message, Yan Da departed. At Cherry Blossom Hills, Ka Suo confronted Ying Kong Shi, insisting he explain everything. Ying Kong Shi defiantly asked if Ka Suo could stop him. Ka Suo questioned why he killed Xuan Ta.

Ying Kong Shi responded that Xuan Ta had discovered Lian Ji's betrayal to the Fire King and was about to harm his mother, so he had to eliminate him first. Ka Suo then asked if it was true that Ying Kong Shi had transformed into Ka Suo to trick Lan Shang out of her Teardrop Charm.

Ying Kong Shi confirmed it, and Ka Suo wondered if he had done so out of fear that Huo Yi would reveal his true identity, or if he had no other choice. Ying Kong Shi removed his eye mask, stating that Ka Suo saw him as a simple, kind, and helpless younger brother, but that was a misunderstanding.

He revealed he had long known the black fog that attacked Ka Suo was a god of the Ice-Flame Tribe, who taught him Ice-Flame magic, causing his spiritual powers to improve rapidly. He confessed to personally killing the four saints after Ka Suo fainted during his attempted rescue, asserting that he was no longer the old Ying Kong Shi. Ka Suo, horrified, asked why.

Ying Kong Shi stated they tried to prevent him from becoming king simply because he was not of the Ice Tribe, proclaiming himself the strongest god of the Three Realms, capable of ruling any tribe. He then challenged Ka Suo, asking if he was disappointed.

Ka Suo expressed profound disappointment in himself, regretting that he had spent so much time with Ying Kong Shi yet failed to realize he was being led astray by the black fog onto a path of murder, accepting responsibility as his older brother. Ying Kong Shi then coldly declared it was too late, stating he would eliminate the Ice King and become the strongest king of the Three Realms.

Ka Suo pleaded with him to stay, assuring him there was still hope and promising to protect him. However, Ying Kong Shi turned the God Devouring Sword on Ka Suo, threatening to stab him if he refused to leave. Ka Suo remained steadfast, refusing to abandon him and vowing to save him. The two began to fight.

Distant on the battlefield, Huang Tuo, Chao Ya, Yue Shen, Pian Feng, and Liao Jian felt a powerful spiritual energy surge from Cherry Blossom Hills, wondering if it was Prince Ka Suo and if the palace was in trouble. At Cherry Blossom Hills, Ka Suo and Ying Kong Shi grasped the God Devouring Sword together. With a faint smile, Ying Kong Shi suddenly thrust the blade into his own body. Ka Suo cried out in anguish.

Ying Kong Shi explained to a grief-stricken Ka Suo that only through his death could he transfer his spiritual powers, the only thing he could do for his brother. As immense spiritual energy surged into Ka Suo, he was overcome with sorrow, remembering Ying Kong Shi's childhood dream of flying freely like a sleet bird. Ying Kong Shi's blood flowed onto the ground, transforming into crimson ice flowers.

The black fog arrived at the Ice Plains, where Lian Ji was crying and struggling in her cell, desperately calling for her son. The black fog threatened her captors and rescued Lian Ji, fighting their way out. When Yue Shen and the others reached Cherry Blossom Hills, they saw Ka Suo cradling Ying Kong Shi, his eyes vacant. They noticed the spiritual energy transferring from Ying Kong Shi to Ka Suo, but a powerful barrier prevented them from approaching.

Ka Suo, in a trance, questioned why Ying Kong Shi had done this, wishing for an explanation. He slowly withdrew the God Devouring Sword from Ying Kong Shi's body, and in his despair, raised it as if to end his own life. Just then, a bamboo flute melody filled the air. Ka Suo paused, looking up as Xing Old and Xing Gui approached. Chao Ya and the others were surprised that Xing Gui could pass the formidable spiritual barrier.

Xing Old explained that Ying Kong Shi had told Xing Gui that if he were killed by Ka Suo and Ka Suo became frenzied, she should play the Sole Bamboo Leaf, as only the presence of Ying Kong Shi, symbolized by the flute, could calm Ka Suo. Yan Da also arrived, witnessed Ying Kong Shi dead in Ka Suo's arms, but was likewise unable to cross the spiritual barrier.

Xing Gui then approached Ka Suo, explaining that Ying Kong Shi had asked her to give him a dream. She also gave him a ring, the very one Ka Suo had intended for Li Luo and had discarded into Frost Lake after accidentally harming her; Ying Kong Shi had retrieved it from the lake. Receiving the ring, Ka Suo's mind drifted, and he entered the dream.

In the dream, set in the Snow and Fog Forest, a younger Ying Kong Shi spoke to Ka Suo with warmth. He recounted growing up there, always wondering why the perpetual snow never touched him, only to later realize Ka Suo had secretly used magic to shield him. He recognized that Ka Suo had been protecting him since he was a child.

Ka Suo asked if he was happy then, and the younger Ying Kong Shi replied that he was always happy as long as he was with Ka Suo, no matter the location. He reflected on Ka Suo's inherent kindness, never imagining Ka Suo would kill to protect him, though at the time he assumed Ka Suo was unconscious. Ying Kong Shi affirmed that he remembered everything about Ka Suo, including his hopes and dreams.

He reminded Ka Suo of his 130th birthday, when Ka Suo expressed a desire to be a free-flying sleet bird. Ka Suo then realized that Ying Kong Shi's ambition to become king was to free Ka Suo from the burdens of the throne, allowing him to pursue an ordinary life of freedom and happiness. Ying Kong Shi lamented his failure to protect Ka Suo this time. The scene in the dream shifted to a landscape of burning ruins.

Ying Kong Shi, now older, explained that his bloodline prevented him from becoming king and fulfilling Ka Suo's wish. He confessed his hands were stained with blood from accidentally killing the four saints and that he had to use more lies to cover his mistakes. He had initially believed that by obtaining the Teardrop Charm, he could silence Huo Yi and allow Ka Suo and Li Luo to leave the Divine Realm to live peacefully in the Mortal Realm.

However, he later discovered he was not Huo Yi's son, but the son of Yuan Ji, an ancient god who escaped Lian Qiu Rock and sought to destroy the world and kill Ka Suo. Ying Kong Shi was forced to believe Yuan Ji because Yuan Ji had used his body to kill the four saints, and he felt no guilt even after accidentally killing Xuan Ta.

From that moment, he admitted that Yuan Ji's blood flowed within him, fearing he would one day become as violent as his true father, leading Ka Suo and the Ice Tribe to be disappointed in him. He declared he cared little for the opinions of other gods, but could not bear Ka Suo's gaze of disappointment.

He then revealed that Shuo Gang's revelation forced him to feign allegiance to Huo Yi, making the suspicious Fire King believe he would help destroy the Ice Tribe. This elaborate deception was merely to stall the Ice King and Xing Old, creating an opportunity for a private meeting with Ka Suo. He stated that by entrusting this dream to Xing Gui, he could finally reunite with Ka Suo.

Holding the ring he had retrieved from the lake, he expressed regret that he couldn't give Ka Suo freedom and peace as he had hoped, and could now only bestow upon him the power to resist future fate. Ka Suo, listening to Ying Kong Shi's full confession, felt his heart turn to ice, understanding the true, tragic purpose behind Ying Kong Shi tricking him into obtaining the God Devouring Sword.

Ying Kong Shi then smiled faintly, stating that only a truly righteous and kind god deserved greater power, and Ka Suo, his brother, was his only god. He wished Ka Suo to live freely. Ka Suo slowly opened his deep blue eyes, oblivious to the concern and questions around him. He immediately informed the Ice King, Ice Queen, and Xing Old that Ying Kong Shi was not a traitor.

He explained that Ying Kong Shi had long planned to transfer all his spiritual powers to Ka Suo, forced into this by Huo Yi and the escaped god from Lian Qiu Rock, Yuan Ji. He clarified that Ying Kong Shi had killed the four saints and Xuan Ta under duress. Xing Gui, hearing this, expressed deep sorrow, saying she would have stopped Ying Kong Shi if she had known the truth of his dream.

She urged Ka Suo to cherish his life and the spiritual powers, warning that to do otherwise would render Ying Kong Shi's sacrifice meaningless. Ka Suo agreed with her words. With surging spiritual power, Ka Suo rose, his deep blue eyes fixed on the distance. He declared his resolve to live on with Ying Kong Shi's power and fight for peace in the Three Realms.

In Fire City, Yan Da, looking forlorn, vowed that Ying Kong Shi's death would not be in vain and that she would surely meet him again in this lifetime. Huo Yi questioned if Ying Kong Shi was truly dead, and Yan Da, suppressing her grief, confirmed she had witnessed it herself. Huo Yi, consumed by rage, fumed that Ying Kong Shi had not only fooled them but had also left him no chance for revenge.

This led him to conclude that Ying Kong Shi was not his son or a descendant of the Fire Tribe. Yan Da asked why he believed this. Huo Yi explained that the death of his own descendants would tear his heart apart, but Ying Kong Shi's death evoked no sorrow in him. He recalled Shuo Gang's report that Ying Kong Shi could use both Ice and Fire magic.

Initially, he suspected it was due to a mixed mermaid bloodline, but then remembered Lian Ji once mentioning her mother was an ordinary Ice Tribe citizen. He concluded that Lian Ji herself had Ice Tribe blood, making Ying Kong Shi's identity an unexpected mystery.

Yan Da then remembered Ying Kong Shi's message to her via Xing Gui to retreat and his request for Xing Gui to give Ka Suo a dream, suggesting that Ying Kong Shi's true identity might be linked to that dream. Huo Yi immediately ordered a thorough investigation.

Yan Da felt a strange sense of elation, thinking to herself that she was happy Ying Kong Shi was not her kin, and vowed to uncover everything about him, refusing to believe he had simply died.
