Xuan Ta closely examined the Teardrop Charm in his hand, perplexed by why Shuo Gang possessed one identical to Concubine Lian's. After testing it with illusion magic, traces of Concubine Lian's previous enchantment appeared, which he then compared to existing illusion traces on a broken piece of wood. The revelation struck him: Concubine Lian was the spy from the Fire Tribe.

Concubine Lian then entered the hall, announcing that her Teardrop Charm had been stolen by a Fire Tribe spy and asking if Xuan Ta had found it. Xuan Ta questioned her, asking when such a precious item, which a mermaid princess should carry at all times, could have been stolen. She vaguely replied that she had been too busy preparing for Ying Kong Shi's coronation to notice and claimed Shuo Gang must have stolen it.

Xuan Ta found this strange, explaining that the spiritual power found at the murder scene matched the traces from her Teardrop Charm. Concubine Lian insisted Shuo Gang was the culprit. However, Xuan Ta countered that he had previously fought Shuo Gang and knew his magic was different. He concluded that the murderer was not from the Fire Tribe but from the Ice Tribe.

Concubine Lian feigned confusion, but Xuan Ta asserted she understood him clearly and proposed they go to the Ice King immediately with the evidence. Realizing her betrayal was exposed, Concubine Lian attacked Xuan Ta, but his formidable power allowed him to subdue her. Just then, Ying Kong Shi entered the hall. Seeing Concubine Lian in distress, he swiftly moved to defend her, using too much force in his attack on Xuan Ta.

As Xuan Ta succumbed to the blow, he gasped a final word: "Traitor." Ying Kong Shi stared at Xuan Ta, shocked that he had killed one of his own. Concubine Lian quickly assured him it was her doing and had nothing to do with him. When guards arrived, Ying Kong Shi intervened before Concubine Lian could confess. He calmly announced that a Fire Tribe assassin had killed Xuan Ta and escaped, ordering the guards to pursue them immediately.

He then walked to Xuan Ta's body, retrieved the Teardrop Charm and token, and handed them to Concubine Lian, instructing her to leave the matter to him and not to worry. As he turned and departed, Concubine Lian looked at him, feeling a disconnect from the young man who so effortlessly shifted blame. Ying Kong Shi hastened to the prison where he freed a terrified Shuo Gang, urging him to leave quickly.

Moments later, Ying Kong Shi used Fire Tribe illusion magic to inflict injuries upon himself. When Liao Jian arrived, concerned for his well-being, Ying Kong Shi claimed a Fire Tribe assassin had struck him. The Ice King, Ka Suo, and various tribal leaders arrived to check on Ying Kong Shi. The Ice King expressed confusion about who could have injured Concubine Lian and her son, and killed Xuan Ta.

Ying Kong Shi recounted that he and Xuan Ta were discussing interrogating Shuo Gang when a formidable Fire Tribe spy ambushed them. He claimed they were powerless against the spy. Just then, his mother, Concubine Lian, arrived to visit and was attacked. Xuan Ta rushed to protect her and was tragically killed. The spy then escaped to the prison, and by the time Ying Kong Shi gave chase, it was too late; Shuo Gang had already been freed.

When Xing Jiu asked if the assassin's face was seen, Liao Jian replied that he only saw Shuo Gang, not the assassin. Ying Kong Shi added that Shuo Gang was accompanied by a black fog, which also prevented him from seeing the assassin's face. Ka Suo, surprised, pondered if the black fog was indeed from the Fire Tribe. Ying Kong Shi simply responded, "Maybe."

Chao Ya and Pian Feng reported that their search for Shuo Gang and his accomplice had been fruitless, and Ying Kong Shi ordered them to continue searching thoroughly and remain alert. He then asked Huang Tuo about his mother's condition; Huang Tuo reported Concubine Lian was still unconscious due to severe injuries. Ying Kong Shi then suggested his father rest while he personally attended to Concubine Lian.

Once everyone had left, Ying Kong Shi coldly instructed Concubine Lian to get up. She rose, praising his cleverness in fabricating the Fire Tribe assassination. Ying Kong Shi, however, was somber, expressing remorse for Xuan Ta. He cut short her attempts to reassure him, directly asking if Xuan Ta's accusation that she was the traitor who killed his Ice Tribe brothers and sisters was true. Concubine Lian admitted it.

Ying Kong Shi questioned her betrayal, to which she responded that she had collaborated with Huo Yi to remove obstacles for his ascension to power. Ying Kong Shi then deduced that she also killed the innocent children in the Forest of Snow and Fog, which she also confirmed, explaining it was to extract their spiritual power and blood to feed the ice nucleus, thus enabling him to defeat Ka Suo and gain the throne.

Ying Kong Shi was appalled by her fanaticism, questioning how many more sacrifices she would make for his kingship. Concubine Lian, unrepentant, declared that the path of a king is paved with blood and she would remove any obstacle for him. Ying Kong Shi let out a desolate laugh, lamenting that his birth felt like a joke. Wondering aloud about his true father, he removed his eye patch to reveal his eyes—one blue and one golden—full of sorrow and despair.

Concubine Lian dismissed the identity of his father as irrelevant, stating he was the king of the three realms and that she was all he needed, promising to eliminate anyone who stood in his way. Ying Kong Shi’s heart turned to ice. He told her that if she weren't his mother, he wouldn't have saved her today, declaring that from this day on, he would handle his own mistakes.

He pronounced that from this day forward, she would remain the respected Queen Dowager, but no longer his respected mother, as he considered their bond of life and nurturing balanced by her actions. He then turned and walked away without hesitation. Concubine Lian, heartbroken, cried out that he would always be her dearest son. On the Seven Saints' platform, Xing Jiu tearfully mourned Xuan Ta by the Holy Magic Cube, vowing to catch the true culprit.

The Ice King comforted him, stating that the Holy Magic Cube would guide them to the next generation of saints. Both acknowledged the unsettling nature of recent events, feeling a hidden secret was at play. Xing Jiu then revealed his suspicion that Ying Kong Shi could use magic from the Ice-Flame Tribe. The Ice King, hearing this, immediately ordered Xing Jiu to travel to the Island of Lian Qiu Rock to find a specific person.

The next morning in the palace, Ka Suo entered and saw someone on the throne, wearing the Huang Ya Robe. Mistaking him for his father, he called out, but it was Ying Kong Shi. Ying Kong Shi revealed that their father had passed the throne to him, and he was finally able to wear the Huang Ya Robe. He mused that while his father looked majestic in it, he felt only its immense weight.

Ka Suo, understanding the burden of kingship, tried to offer reassurance. As court commenced, Ying Kong Shi, with a touch of melancholy, announced, "I should be a king now." He declared his profound sadness over the sacrifices of the Four Saints and Xuan Ta. To avenge them, he tasked Liao Jian, Chao Ya, and Pian Feng with finding and executing the Fire Tribe assassin.

He then turned to Ka Suo, commending him for repelling the Fire Tribe and declaring that he would be heavily rewarded with permission to marry Realm Guardian Li Luo. Ka Suo protested, but Ying Kong Shi insisted there was no better choice for his wife, ignoring Ka Suo's attempts to explain his limited time.

Ying Kong Shi refused to retract his order and assigned Yue Shen to organize the wedding as soon as possible, leaving Ka Suo to call out his name in protest. Ka Suo pursued Ying Kong Shi outside his hall, desperately imploring him to revoke the marriage order. He explained he couldn't marry Li Luo given his limited time, asserting it would only harm her.

He continued calling out for Ying Kong Shi, unaware that Li Luo had arrived and silently overheard his heartfelt plea, causing her immense sorrow. Wiping her tears, Li Luo approached Ka Suo. She playfully chided him for shouting about not wanting to marry her, then told him to forget it as she had something more important to discuss and led him away.

Ying Kong Shi, left alone in the silent hall, reflected on his brother's predicament, wishing for Ka Suo to live his remaining days happily with Li Luo, free from regret. Meanwhile, Li Luo presented her plan to the Ice King and Ice Queen: the Fallen Oracle could save Ka Suo by devouring the God Devouring Sword spirits within him.

She emphasized that Ka Suo must go alone to the Forest of Snow and Fog, as the Fallen Oracle disliked being seen. The Ice King, though concerned for Ka Suo's safety, agreed, and Li Luo swore on her life that Ka Suo would be safe. Ka Suo thanked her, and Li Luo assured him he would recover.

Later, Ka Suo questioned why Li Luo hadn't told him about seeking the Fallen Oracle and if she had made some kind of trade with the spirit. Despite Ka Suo's suspicion that she was hiding something, Li Luo insisted she wasn't. She then instructed him to borrow the God Devouring Sword from Ying Kong Shi and meet her in the Forest of Snow and Fog that afternoon.

In Fiery City, Huo Yi expressed satisfaction with Ying Kong Shi's coronation, stating his goal of invading the City of Bladed Snow was halfway accomplished. Yan Da, congratulating him, questioned how Ying Kong Shi's rule benefited their tribe. Huo Yi instructed Shuo Gang to tell her the truth. Shuo Gang explained that if the Ice King carried Fire Tribe blood, the City of Bladed Snow would be vulnerable to them.

A bewildered Yan Da questioned how Ying Kong Shi, the Ice King’s son, could have Fire Tribe blood. Huo Yi then revealed the shocking truth: Ying Kong Shi was his own son. Yan Da was aghast, proclaiming it impossible. Shuo Gang pressed her, pointing out Concubine Lian's past relationship with Huo Yi and the fact that she had leaked secrets that led to the deaths of Ice Tribe princes and princesses.

Huo Yi confirmed that Yan Da now had another brother and a powerful helper, accelerating the Fire Tribe's conquest. Yan Da vehemently denied this, yelling that Ying Kong Shi couldn't be Huo Yi's son. Yan Da cursed Concubine Lian, then confessed her hatred for both Ying Kong Shi and his mother for gaining Huo Yi's adoration. Shuo Gang, agreeing with her sentiments, then suggested they find an opportune moment to eliminate Ying Kong Shi to prevent future trouble.

Yan Da questioned his intent to kill their brother, but Shuo Gang reminded her of their father's philosophy: to do whatever it takes to achieve their desires. Yan Da rejected this, claiming it was their way, not hers. In the Forest of Snow and Fog, Li Luo was waiting outside a cave. Ka Suo arrived with Yue Shen, Huang Tuo, and others, much to Li Luo's dismay, as they had agreed to meet privately.

The group insisted they came to protect Ka Suo from the unknown Fallen Oracle. Li Luo, frustrated, warned that their presence would anger the Fallen Oracle. Ka Suo intervened, apologizing to Li Luo and explaining he allowed them to come because he lacked the strength to protect her himself and feared for her safety. Li Luo then instructed everyone to wait outside the cave while she and Ka Suo entered alone.

Inside the cave, Li Luo blindfolded Ka Suo and secured his limbs with chains to a stone bed. She warned him to endure any pain, and under no circumstances to remove the blindfold, as breaking their promise would result in both of them being devoured by the Fallen Oracle. Ka Suo agreed, expressing his gratitude and his desire to watch every sunrise with her, to which Li Luo consented. Li Luo then summoned the Fallen Oracle.

Ka Suo heard her struggling and cried out her name. He passionately pleaded with the Fallen Oracle, affirming his love for Li Luo and offering himself instead. Li Luo, in a transformed state, wielding the God Devouring Sword, implored the Fallen Oracle sprite to destroy the God Devouring Sword spirits within Ka Suo. The terrifying Fallen Oracle materialized, questioning who had summoned it. Ka Suo, still blindfolded, sensed its powerful presence as Li Luo called his name.
