Princess Lan Shang prepared to compete against Chao Ya in the second round of the Ice King competition. Before her performance, Ka Suo reassured her, promising he would remember her efforts regardless of the outcome. With newfound confidence, Lan Shang began to sing, and her powerful siren song resonated throughout the City of Bladed Snow. She commanded the warriors to attack, and their swords flew towards the Ice King.

Just as quickly, she ordered them to stop, and the suspended weapons transformed into beautiful flowers, drifting gracefully through the air. The judges declared Princess Lan Shang the victor for her impressive display of transforming conflict into beauty without violence, earning Ka Suo a win. However, after her victory, Lan Shang fainted. When she awoke, she found herself unable to speak. Huang Tuo examined her but couldn't find a medical explanation.

The Mermaid Holy Elder then revealed the truth: the siren song, while incredibly powerful, could only be sung once in a mermaid's lifetime. Although Lan Shang would regain her ability to speak, she would never be able to sing again, a loss equivalent to losing her beauty for a mermaid. Lan Shang, though, accepted the sacrifice, telling Ka Suo not to worry. Ka Suo felt a pang of guilt, staying by her side.

Witnessing Lan Shang's sacrifice, Ying Kong Shi reflected sadly, realizing his quest to free Ka Suo had instead placed new burdens upon him. Meanwhile, the Ice Queen admonished Ying Kong Shi for admiring an opponent, urging him to focus on securing a win for Huang Tuo in the next round, despite Huang Tuo's lack of fighting skills. Later, Huang Tuo struggled with insomnia, anxious about his upcoming battle against Yue Shen. Yue Shen sought him out, inquiring about his family.

Huang Tuo, initially pleased by her interest, soon learned her concern was purely practical: she wanted to know who would care for his father if she accidentally killed him during the competition. Heartbroken, Huang Tuo confessed that he feared not death itself, but the regret of dying before they could truly be together.

Elsewhere, Jue Yin asked Li Luo to weave a wreath from Morning Flowers—unique blossoms that take 1500 years to bud, grow, and bloom, only to last for a single morning. When Li Luo asked if the wreath was for someone, Jue Yin recounted a tale from 3000 years ago when he watched the Morning Flowers with a mortal woman, promising to see them bloom with her again and eventually turn her into a god.

Li Luo, intrigued, eagerly asked how to transform a mortal into a god, hoping to restore Ka Suo's divine powers. Jue Yin initially misunderstood her intentions, thinking she wished to become a god herself. Li Luo clarified that her only desire was to help her King, Ka Suo, regain his lost spiritual powers.

Jue Yin warned her against defying fate, but Li Luo passionately argued that Ka Suo's destiny was to be the King of the Three Realms and maintain peace. Jue Yin, recognizing the depth of her feelings, asked if she had fallen in love with her king. After a moment of hesitation, Li Luo bravely admitted her love for Ka Suo, a confession that seemed to touch Jue Yin.

The third round of the Ice King competition commenced, pitting Huang Tuo, the chief of the Healer Tribe, against Yue Shen, a master of poisons, in a contest of medicine versus poison. The objective was for Yue Shen to poison Huang Tuo within a time limit or for Huang Tuo to detoxify her poisons.

Ka Suo expressed concern about the fairness of the rules, but the elder overseeing the competition stated that luck was part of it, hinting that Yue Shen's victory could mean Ka Suo wouldn't have to fight Ying Kong Shi. Yue Shen extended a hand in a gesture of friendship, but it was a ruse to poison Huang Tuo during their handshake. His hand immediately turned purple, forcing him to quickly use silver needles to counteract the venom.

Yue Shen relentlessly attacked, even poisoning his face, causing it to swell hideously. Finally, Huang Tuo decided to fight back, blocking all of Yue Shen's subsequent attacks. Undeterred, Yue Shen used both hands to directly administer more poison, having a natural immunity herself, and Huang Tuo's body absorbed all of it. She then drew her Moonlight Sword, which amplified her innate lethal aura, using it to manipulate the poisons within Huang Tuo's body.

Despite immense pain, Huang Tuo refused to surrender. Facing imminent death, he tearfully told Yue Shen that if he died, he would only worry about her, not his father who no longer remembered him. He implored her not to blame herself for his death, as he would not blame her. As Yue Shen, with tears in her eyes, raised her sword for the final blow, Ka Suo intervened, shielding Huang Tuo.

At the same instant, Ying Kong Shi also moved, blocking Yue Shen's sword. The elder declared that third-party intervention was forbidden, but Ka Suo stated that if becoming king required such devastation and the sacrifice of friends, he would not accept the title. He forfeited the round. Ying Kong Shi also admitted defeat.

The elder then announced that both Ka Suo and Ying Kong Shi had won the third round, explaining that the true purpose of the match was to test the future Ice King's compassion. With both brothers now tied with two victories each, the final decisive battle would take place at Cherry Blossom Hills. After the intense competition, Huang Tuo, Yue Shen, Chao Ya, Liao Jian, and Xing Jiu gathered to watch the sunset over the City of Bladed Snow.

Despite his injuries, Huang Tuo marveled at how individuals who had just been locked in a deadly battle could now sit peacefully together. Liao Jian affirmed that regardless of who became king, they would all loyally follow, having witnessed the compassion displayed by both princes. The group raised their cups, toasting to the sunset. Ka Suo visited the graves of his deceased siblings.

The Ice Queen arrived, presenting him with their favorite weapons and instructing him to defeat Ying Kong Shi. Ka Suo questioned her intense animosity towards his brother. The Ice Queen explained that Ka Suo had been chosen by the Seven Saints, ancient beings selected by the Holy Magic Cube of Ancestor She Mi, to determine the Ice Tribe's most suitable heir. The Five Saints then appeared and led Ka Suo to the Sacred Altar, where the Ice King awaited.

The Ice King revealed a dark secret: soon after Ying Kong Shi's birth, Bi Luo, one of the Seven Saints, attempted to read his future but was severely injured and later died. The remaining six Saints also tried but failed to read Ying Kong Shi's fate and suffered injuries themselves. Ka Suo protested, arguing that Ying Kong Shi, as an infant, could not be blamed for these incidents.

However, the Ice King asserted that if Ka Suo were to lose the final battle, Ying Kong Shi would be condemned to death. The Saints, whose authority superseded even the Ice King's, were prepared to destroy Ying Kong Shi to ensure that Ka Suo, chosen by the Holy Magic Cube, ascended the throne. Ka Suo vehemently refused to allow them to harm his brother.

The Saints reiterated that the only way to save Ying Kong Shi was for Ka Suo to win the battle at Cherry Blossom Hills. Ka Suo's mind drifted back to his childhood with Ying Kong Shi. He remembered expressing his own desire not to be king, but rather to be a free sleet bird. Young Ying Kong Shi had then promised to help his older brother achieve that wish.

Now, Ying Kong Shi, swinging in the snowy forest, reaffirmed his resolve to fulfill that promise, to make Ka Suo truly free. Ka Suo, observing Ying Kong Shi, was filled with determination, vowing that Ying Kong Shi's fate could not be death.
