Li Luo discovers a black-clothed figure attempting to destroy Ka Suo's Ice Nucleus and gives chase. Ka Suo, noticing Li Luo's injury, stops her from pursuing, allowing the assailant to escape. Ka Suo dispatches soldiers to search the area. As the soldiers conduct their search, they encounter Lian Ji, who, having been the assailant in disguise, dismisses them by claiming she saw no one.

Lian Ji then muses to herself that destroying the Ice Nucleus is merely a temporary setback for Ka Suo, and the only permanent solution is to kill him. Ka Suo avoids Li Luo, feeling responsible for injuring her with the Sword Spirit. Li Luo, however, assures him it was the Sword Spirit's doing, not his fault.

She then informs Ka Suo that she is returning to the Mortal Realm, fabricating a story that the Ice King has assigned Realm Guardians to assist with repairs after the Fire Tribe's destruction, and that she will be back soon. Li Luo presents Ka Suo with medicine from the Mortal Realm to nourish his Ice Nucleus, which requires his blood for cultivation.

She implores him to take good care of himself and to promise he will never hide from her, to which Ka Suo agrees. Xing Jiu requests an update from Xing Gui on her investigation into various magical forms. Xing Gui demonstrates the magic of the Ice Tribe, Fire Tribe, Mortal Realm, and Sprite Land.

Xing Jiu identifies a specific type of magic that strikingly resembles the one he's investigating, which Xing Gui explains belongs to the long-vanished Ice-Flame Tribe, as recorded in an ancient book. Xing Jiu expresses his doubt and distress, noting that the tribe disappeared over 10,000 years ago, making it seemingly impossible for anyone to use such magic now. He desperately hopes he is mistaken, as the magic strongly resembles that used by Ying Kong Shi.

The Ice Queen praises Li Luo for providing medicinal herbs, calling her a loyal subject. Ka Suo corrects his mother, stating he regards Li Luo as a good friend. The Ice Queen then acknowledges Ka Suo's feelings for Li Luo but cautions him about their disparate statuses, emphasizing that they are from different worlds and their relationship cannot last for a lifetime.

She finds a forgotten pouch that Li Luo had left behind, which Ka Suo recognizes as a gift he had given her. Despite his mother's warnings of a tragic end, Ka Suo resolves to leave the City of Bladed Snow to find Li Luo, expressing his desire to experience their beautiful moments together, even if temporary.

As Li Luo and the other realm guardians prepare to depart for the Mortal Realm, Li Luo becomes distressed over her missing unicorn, Snow Goose. Qin Chu, exasperated, dismisses her concern. Suddenly, Ka Suo arrives riding Snow Goose, bringing the forgotten pouch. He announces his intention to accompany Li Luo to the Mortal Realm, much to her surprise and Qin Chu's clear annoyance.

In the Mortal Realm, Ka Suo attempts to sell divine fish he brought from the City of Bladed Snow. His sales pitch, highlighting the fish's longevity, proves ineffective as mortals typically buy fish for consumption. Li Luo, observing his struggles, ingeniously prepares sashimi from the divine fish. This dish becomes an instant success, bringing in significant earnings. With the money, Ka Suo buys a bouquet of mortal flowers for Li Luo.

As the time for his return to the Divine Realm before sunrise approaches, Ka Suo shares a tender sentiment, expressing that even if their separation is long, this day will be his reason to patiently await her return. They then share a reluctant farewell. Ying Kong Shi, frustrated by his repeated failures to cultivate an Ice Nucleus, observes fire magic. Following its traces, he discovers Shuo Gang trapped in a cave, attempting to send messages for rescue.

Shuo Gang begs Ying Kong Shi for assistance, offering to persuade his father, the Fire King, to temporarily cease attacks on the Ice Tribe. Ying Kong Shi dismisses the offer, then agrees to release Shuo Gang on the condition that Shuo Gang teaches him Fire Tribe magic. Shuo Gang initially refuses, arguing that as an Ice Prince, Ying Kong Shi cannot learn fire magic.

However, Ying Kong Shi insists that his ability to learn is his own concern, compelling a desperate Shuo Gang to agree in exchange for immediate release. After successfully learning Fire Tribe magic from Shuo Gang, Ying Kong Shi is distraught. He confronts the painful realization that the blood flowing through his veins is of the Fire Tribe, not the Ice Tribe, which explains his inability to cultivate an Ice Nucleus. Overwhelmed by this discovery, he breaks down in tears.

As Ka Suo and Li Luo prepare to part ways, a sinister black fog suddenly envelops Ka Suo and snatches him away. Li Luo, along with the other realm guardians, frantically searches for him and eventually finds him critically injured by a river. Li Luo rushes Ka Suo back to the City of Bladed Snow.

The Ice Queen, distraught, voices her suspicion that an internal enemy within the Ice Tribe is trying to kill Ka Suo, just as they had killed her other children. Upon learning that Ka Suo's presence in the Mortal Realm was solely due to Li Luo, the Ice King and Queen immediately banish Li Luo from the City of Bladed Snow.

Ka Suo, awake and recovering, protests, asserting that the attack was caused by a mysterious fog following him and was not Li Luo's fault. However, the Ice Queen and Ice King remain unswayed, with the Ice King insisting Ka Suo focus on recovery and not think of Li Luo. Li Luo kneels before the gates of the City of Bladed Snow, refusing to leave and vowing to remain until the Ice King forgives her for failing to protect Ka Suo.

Qin Chu attempts to comfort her and force her to accept a blanket, but Li Luo stubbornly refuses. Ying Kong Shi approaches, informing her that Ka Suo is awake and being treated by Huang Tuo, and urges her to get up. However, Li Luo remains steadfast. Ying Kong Shi then delivers the Ice King's decree: Li Luo is to be stationed at the desolate North Forbidden Land starting tomorrow, as punishment for failing her duty as a realm guardian.

Ka Suo, delirious in bed, repeatedly calls out Li Luo's name. Lan Shang visits him, having begged the Ice King and Queen for permission. Observing Ka Suo's distress, she reveals that the Ice King has ordered Li Luo to be stationed at the North Forbidden Land, a place where even gods struggle to survive. Realizing the grave danger, Ka Suo attempts to get up to plead for Li Luo but collapses.

He implores Huang Tuo to heal him quickly so he can see his father. Distressed by Ka Suo's agony, Lan Shang decides to help Li Luo. She attempts to seek an audience with the Ice King and Queen late at night but is turned away by guards.

The Mermaid Saint, witnessing this, chastises Lan Shang, reminding her that Li Luo is her rival and that she should focus on winning Ka Suo's heart, especially with "heaven's help" removing her competition, rather than aiding her. Lan Shang, however, expresses admiration for Li Luo's sacrifices for Ka Suo and her own inability to stand by while Li Luo faces death.

Thanks to Huang Tuo's treatment, Ka Suo regains the ability to stand, though Huang Tuo warns him that his injury is not fully healed. Ka Suo immediately proceeds to the palace to plead for Li Luo. Huang Tuo, joined by Yue Shen, laments Ka Suo's inability to be with Li Luo, with Yue Shen stating that they can at least ensure Li Luo's happiness.

Inside the palace, Ka Suo confronts his father, begging him to forgive Li Luo and revoke the order sending her to the North Forbidden Land, explaining that it is a death sentence for a mere mortal girl. The Ice King and the Seven Sages stand firm, stating that this is a joint decision made for the future of the Ice Tribe.

Ka Suo passionately argues that they are betraying Li Luo's past sacrifices for the Ice Tribe, comparing their current cruelty to the Fire Tribe. Enraged, the Ice King uses his magic to forcibly restrain Ka Suo, imprisoning him. The Sages attempt to console the Ice King, assuring him that Ka Suo will eventually understand this decision was made for his own good and for the Ice Tribe's. The Ice King sighs, hoping for his son's understanding.
