The Ice King and Ice Queen desperately sought a way to restore Ka Suo's spiritual power, but their efforts were in vain. Ka Suo revealed that he had made a deal with the Sword Spirit, whose power now resided within him, absorbing any spiritual energy they tried to provide. The Ice King explained that the Sword Spirit's energy was deeply embedded in Ka Suo's body, making any external magical assistance useless; he could only maintain Ka Suo's current condition.

The Ice Queen pleaded with her husband, reminding him that Ka Suo was their only surviving child, but the Ice King regretfully admitted he was helpless. Ka Suo, seeing his parents' distress, urged his mother not to make it harder for his father. Meanwhile, the Holy Fire Source continued to burn beneath the Ice Veil, causing it to melt. The Ice King worked alone to reinforce the Ice Veil when Ying Kong Shi appeared, offering his assistance.

The Ice King was astonished by Ying Kong Shi's rapidly growing magical power. Seizing the opportunity, Lian Ji appeared and praised her son's contributions, highlighting his role in uniting the tribes and reclaiming the City of Bladed Snow. She questioned how a powerless god like Ka Suo could rule, suggesting the commoners would not respect him. Ying Kong Shi quickly intervened, stating that his brother had played a part in the defeat of Huo Yi and was the rightful king.

The Ice King acknowledged Ying Kong Shi's merits but declared that Ka Suo needed rest due to his magical loss, entrusting Ying Kong Shi with the task of helping their tribe recover. Far away, Shuo Gang learned that the allied forces had withdrawn from the City of Bladed Snow, leaving its defenses weak and the Ice Veil unrepaired.

He prepared to launch another attack, believing Ka Suo and Ying Kong Shi would not expect it while his father, the Fire King, was recuperating. However, Yan Da appeared and stopped him. She reminded Shuo Gang of Ying Kong Shi's formidable power with the God Devouring Sword, a power that even their father could not overcome.

Yan Da warned that a direct assault would be suicidal and suggested a more strategic approach: to infiltrate the City of Bladed Snow, discover Ying Kong Shi's weakness, and then, once the Fire King fully recovered, launch a decisive attack to annihilate the Ice Tribe. Shuo Gang agreed, entrusting Yan Da with the mission. Ka Suo grappled with immense suffering, tormented by the loss of his magic and the Sword Spirit's influence, which made him prone to violent outbursts.

He accidentally endangered some children, making him feel like a useless monster. Ying Kong Shi intervened, explaining to Ka Suo that the Sword Spirit was trapped in his body, unable to return to the God Devouring Sword. To console the frightened children, Ying Kong Shi playfully suggested Ka Suo was just playing a game, then engaged them in a magical display.

The children praised Ying Kong Shi as the hero who defeated Huo Yi, but he deflected their questions about who had stronger magic, insisting Ka Suo was superior. Li Luo observed Ka Suo from a distance, understanding his need for solitude in his vulnerable state. Lan Shang, however, found Ka Suo, who urged her to leave him alone, stating he was no longer a god but a monster.

Undeterred, Lan Shang passionately declared her enduring love for him, regardless of his status or power, confessing that she had searched for him ceaselessly across realms. She then impulsively kissed him. The Sword Spirit within Ka Suo abruptly took control, ordering him to kill the Mermaid Princess. As Ka Suo struggled, he saw Li Luo, who had witnessed the entire scene. Seeing her helped him regain a semblance of control. Distraught, Li Luo quietly departed, misunderstanding the situation.

Lan Shang, heartbroken, realized that Ka Suo's heart belonged to Li Luo, questioning how the future Ice King could love a mortal. Overwhelmed, Ka Suo privately wished he could forsake the throne and live a simple life as a mortal with the woman he loved. Ying Kong Shi, observing his brother's profound sadness, resolved to find a way to make Ka Suo happy.

In the Fire Cloud Cave, Yan Da reminisced about her past interactions with Ying Kong Shi, smiling to herself as she mused that she must still hold a place in his heart. Later, the Ice King discovered Ka Suo calling Li Luo's name in his sleep and questioned him about her identity. Ka Suo explained Li Luo was a realm guardian, a special mortal woman.

The Ice King then consulted with Ying Kong Shi, who elaborated on Li Luo's loyalty and crucial role in helping Ka Suo retrieve the Six-Leaf Crystal and the God Devouring Sword, which led to the liberation of the City of Bladed Snow. Despite the Ice Queen suggesting Li Luo should be rewarded for saving Ka Suo, the Ice King, fearing Ka Suo's deepening attachment to a mortal, immediately ordered Li Luo to be banished from the City of Bladed Snow.

He intended to announce Ka Suo as the future king at the upcoming celebratory feast, emphasizing that an Ice King could not be romantically involved with a mortal. Ying Kong Shi advised against an immediate banishment, pointing out Li Luo's contributions in the war and her good relationships with other tribe leaders. He argued that suddenly exiling her while the allied leaders were still guests would provoke rumors and damage the Ice Tribe's reputation.

Instead, he suggested publicly honoring Li Luo at the feast, then finding an appropriate excuse for her departure afterward. The Ice King agreed. He then instructed that Ka Suo should spend more time with Lan Shang, given his need for rest. Ying Kong Shi offered to take on the responsibility of entertaining Lan Shang himself, citing that Ka Suo was not in a good mood and his presence might only further upset the Mermaid Princess.

Lian Ji supported Ying Kong Shi's offer, mentioning that Lan Shang was her older sister's daughter, making them relatives and likely to get along well. The Ice King consented, cautioning against any missteps. Ying Kong Shi subsequently met with Lan Shang, who was disappointed to see him instead of Ka Suo, believing Ka Suo was deliberately avoiding her to be with Li Luo.

Ying Kong Shi dismissed her concerns, suggesting that women tend to overthink things and that Ka Suo could like both her and Li Luo, much like the Ice King had married Lian Ji despite being wed to the Ice Queen. He then playfully coerced her into dancing with him in the snow. Lian Ji watched them from a distance, acknowledging her son's excellence. A dark mist then enveloped Lian Ji, conjuring images of her youthful, carefree past.

A voice from the mist affirmed that she was the most beautiful princess of the Divine Realm, always surrounded by love, and destined for happiness greater than anyone else's. Ka Suo stood by a glacier, lost in sorrow, recalling teaching a young Ying Kong Shi magic. The Ice Queen observed him, her heart aching for her son. She questioned the Ice King about Ka Suo's cruel fate, lamenting that his life was now as fleeting as a mortal's.

She protested the Ice King's insistence that Ka Suo marry Lan Shang, knowing his son loved Li Luo. The Ice King, however, revealed a closely guarded secret passed down through generations of Ice Kings: only when a Mermaid Princess transforms into a human upon marrying an Ice King does she produce a Teardrop Charm. This charm holds the key to locating the mythical Divine Snow Mountain, which, in turn, offers hope for restoring Ka Suo's spiritual power.

The Ice King confessed that he too had been forced to marry Lian Ji in the past, breaking his vow of eternal love to the Ice Queen, at the behest of his own dying father, who sought to prolong his life through the Mermaid Tribe's ancestral magic. He urged the Ice Queen to find Ka Suo quickly, as time was running out.
