Prince Shuo Gang and Princess Yan Da arrived at the Bear Tribe, where Hei Feng, the new chief, welcomed them. Hei Feng declared that he had ascended the throne, having defeated Liao Jian, and now held the law enforcement and army of the Bear Tribe. Shuo Gang acknowledged this, emphasizing that the Fire King was the supreme ruler of all three realms. Hei Feng expressed admiration for the Fire Tribe and was ready to hand over the Six-Leaf Ice Crystal.

However, he had one condition: he wished to form a marital alliance with the Fire Tribe and marry the beautiful Princess Yan Da. Yan Da was furious, calling Hei Feng a "hairy creep" for his disrespectful proposal. Shuo Gang, however, defended Hei Feng, considering him a loyal future ally. Hei Feng reiterated that if he could marry Yan Da, he would present the Six-Leaf Ice Crystal and pledge eternal loyalty to the Fire Tribe.

He asked Shuo Gang to pass on his request to the Fire King and the princess. Meanwhile, Ka Suo and his companions found Peach Blossom Valley to be unsettling. An enchanting music began to play, specifically targeting mortals. Li Luo, affected by the music, nearly wandered off, but Ka Suo used his ice magic to freeze her, bringing her back to her senses.

Despite Ka Suo's suggestion that she stay behind, Li Luo insisted on joining him and Pian Feng, asserting that her concentration was stronger now. They observed many villagers who were bewitched, but the valley leader, Sun Tian, and his subordinates were unaffected due to being deaf or mute. Sun Tian was preparing to confront the musician, whom Ka Suo suspected was not a mortal.

Concerned for the safety of these ordinary people, Ka Suo and his friends joined Sun Tian's group, with Li Luo using a magical projection to communicate their intentions, introducing herself as a Realm Guardian also seeking the musician. Elsewhere, Princess Lan Shang skillfully evaded her guards and leapt into the ice river, swimming away to freedom.

Upon discovering her disappearance from the Mermaid Palace, the Fire King immediately deduced that she must have gone to the Mortal Realm to find Ka Suo and dispatched his men to search the entire realm for her. Following the bewitched villagers, Ka Suo, Li Luo, and their group arrived at an altar where a powerful tornado raged, intensifying the enchanting music. The suffering villagers collapsed to the ground.

Ka Suo intervened, using his illusion magic to compel the musician at the center of the tornado to stop playing. The tornado dissipated, revealing Princess Chao Ya. Upon waking, Chao Ya was disoriented, only recalling that she had heard her mother's zither music one night, followed it, and then was enveloped by a black fog before losing consciousness. Ka Suo noted her mention of the black fog.

Back with the Fire Tribe, Yan Da attempted to send a messenger hawk to her father, the Fire King, to complain about Shuo Gang's attempts to marry her off to Hei Feng. Shuo Gang, however, intercepted and killed her messenger, stating she sent words that should not be sent.

Moments later, the Fire King's own messenger hawk arrived, delivering a direct order to Yan Da: she was to marry the Bear Tribe king for the benefit of the Fire Tribe, without disobedience. Distraught, Yan Da refused to believe her father's command and sought to confront him in person. Shuo Gang stopped her, proposing a fighting competition instead. He declared that if anyone could defeat Hei Feng, it would prove Hei Feng unworthy of marrying the Fire Princess.

Deeply hurt by her father's decision, Yan Da wept by a river, lamenting that she no longer wished to be a Fire Princess. Ying Kong Shi, disguised as her servant Yun Fei, approached her. Yan Da confided in him, asking for a way to avoid the marriage. Ying Kong Shi suggested a simple solution: kill Hei Feng during the competition.

Pleased by this idea, Yan Da promised him the Heart-Burning Fruit antidote if he could devise a plan to kill Hei Feng without implicating her. Struggling to come up with such a plan and contemplating the use of magic while concealing his identity, Ying Kong Shi heard loud shouts. Following the sound, he found a hidden cave where he discovered the imprisoned former Bear Tribe king, Liao Jian, who identified himself as the Bear Tribe's king.

During the competition, Hei Feng proved to be a formidable opponent. Yan Da personally challenged him, but Hei Feng used a deceptive tactic to trap her, demanding she call him "husband" to be released. Yan Da refused. Ying Kong Shi, still disguised as Yun Fei, stepped forward, demanding Hei Feng release the princess and offering to fight in her stead. He argued that if Hei Feng could not even beat the princess's servant, he was unworthy to marry her.

Though significantly weaker than the powerful Hei Feng, Ying Kong Shi faced him bravely. When Hei Feng was about to claim victory, he was suddenly overcome by a terrible headache. Ying Kong Shi, holding bellflowers, revealed Hei Feng's hidden weakness: he was deathly afraid of their sound. Defeated, Hei Feng lost the competition, and Yan Da was saved from the forced marriage. Ying Kong Shi collapsed from his injuries, and Yan Da rushed to his side.

After his victory, Ying Kong Shi returned to Liao Jian, reminding him of their prior arrangement. Liao Jian had revealed Hei Feng's weakness to Ying Kong Shi in exchange for his freedom. Using Hei Feng's blood, Ying Kong Shi opened the magical barrier, releasing Liao Jian. Ying Kong Shi then revealed his true identity as Ying Kong Shi, Prince of the Ice Tribe, and demanded the Six-Leaf Ice Crystal.

Liao Jian, however, could not sense any Ice Tribe aura from him, instead detecting the scent of a Fire Tribe god. Ying Kong Shi claimed this was because he was an Ice Tribe spy. To prove his heritage, Ying Kong Shi attempted to perform Ice magic, but to his dismay, he inadvertently unleashed Fire magic.

Convinced that Ying Kong Shi was a Fire Tribe spy trying to trick him, Liao Jian, though grateful for his freedom, refused to hand over the Ice Crystal and expelled him. Shortly after being driven away by Liao Jian, Ying Kong Shi was captured by Shuo Gang while attempting to catch a wild rabbit.

Shuo Gang accused him of seducing Yan Da, causing her to defy orders and jeopardize his plans to acquire the Ice Crystal, and subjected him to a brutal whipping. Ying Kong Shi, enduring the torture, mocked Shuo Gang for exploiting his own sister for personal gain. Enraged, Shuo Gang intensified the punishment by burning the trunk of a Heart-Burning Fruit tree, which would accelerate the poison in Ying Kong Shi's body, threatening his life.

Princess Yan Da arrived, horrified by the scene. When Shuo Gang slapped her for defending her servant, Yan Da defiantly declared that Yun Fei was her friend. Shuo Gang coldly stated that the Fire Tribe had no friends, only enemies and absolute obedience to the Fire King. Refusing to abandon her friend, Yan Da, in a desperate act of rebellion, used her whip to ensnare Shuo Gang's throat.

Just then, a guard reported that Liao Jian had returned and launched an attack on Hei Feng. Seizing the distraction, Yan Da forced Shuo Gang to concede, successfully rescuing Ying Kong Shi and warning her brother never to harm Yun Fei again. Meanwhile, Liao Jian had rallied his loyal followers within the Bear Tribe, preparing to reclaim his throne from Hei Feng. A fierce battle quickly erupted between the two factions.
