Xing Jiu, the Chief Dreamer, presented Ka Suo with an ice crystal, pledging the Dream Tribe's eternal alliance and loyalty to the Ice Tribe. Ka Suo thanked him, and Xing Jiu expressed regret for the harm he had caused. Xing Jiu then asked Ka Suo and his companions to remain in the Dream Tribe to celebrate Xing Gui's hundredth birthday, which he believed would be her last.
He revealed that for 99 years, his greatest fear was the dream of Xing Gui's hundredth birthday, from which she might never awaken, and that she had never witnessed the dawn on her birthday. Having resigned himself to her fate, he simply wished to spend her remaining time by her side so she could depart without regret. Both Ka Suo and Ying Kong Shi agreed to stay. The Dream Tribe celebrated Xing Gui's birthday joyfully.
Ka Suo observed Xing Gui's happiness, realizing her greatest joy was simply having her brother by her side. He mused that he would prefer a short but fulfilling life with loved ones over a long, lonely existence. The next morning, Xing Jiu braced himself for the prophecy to come true, but to his astonishment, Xing Gui awakened. Ka Suo noted that miracles do exist.
Ying Kong Shi, however, heard a mysterious voice remark, "Only silly humans would believe in miracles," and wondered who it was, sensing the voice had followed them from the divine to the mortal realm. Meanwhile, Yan Da, alone, called out for "Yun Fei," wondering why he hadn't left the Dream Tribe with her. Her brother, Shuo Gang, arrived and mocked her for spoiling a human slave and even letting him enter a dream with her, asking if she missed him.
He questioned her weakness for caring about "unimportant things." Yan Da then accused Shuo Gang of feeding Ying Kong Shi the Heart-Burning Fruit. Shuo Gang confirmed it, explaining that the poison would force Ying Kong Shi to return for the antidote or die, dismissing mortals as easily crushed. He warned Yan Da not to jeopardize his plans as they were heading to the Bear Tribe for another Ice Crystal, threatening her if she hindered him.
Ka Suo, informed by Xing Jiu of Yan Da and Shuo Gang's mission to the Bear Tribe, decided to proceed with their original plan to go to the Spirit Lands first, confident that the loyal Bear Tribe would not surrender their Ice Crystal. He then set off to find Li Luo. Ka Suo and Ying Kong Shi, failing to cook fish, burnt their meal. Ka Suo then found Li Luo bathing in a stream.
He grew embarrassed and tried to leave, but her unicorn, who she called Turnip, playfully pushed him into the water. In his confusion, he accidentally tossed Li Luo's clothes into the water, adding to their awkwardness. Later, by a campfire, Li Luo hummed a mortal realm nursery rhyme. Ka Suo, born in the perpetually snowy City of Bladed Snow, had never known the four seasons of the mortal realm.
He asked Li Luo why her parents allowed her to become a realm guardian. Li Luo revealed she was an orphan, and the nursery rhyme was her only memory of the mortal world. She recounted a harsh winter where her beloved pet, also named Turnip, died saving her from wolves, and she had wished to join him.
She later woke up in the Divine Realm, in the Ice Tribe, where General Ke Tuo offered her a new life as a Realm Guardian, making her feel useful for the first time. She recounted her training and dedication, vowing to never disappoint General Ke Tuo and become a guardian he would be proud of. Ka Suo noted her unicorn's majestic appearance, finding its name "Turnip" unfitting.
Li Luo confessed that even the unicorn seemed to dislike its name, losing energy when called. Ka Suo offered a new name, "Snow Goose," which Li Luo liked, believing it gave the unicorn the freedom and flight it desired. Ka Suo then expressed his gratitude to General Ke Tuo for taking Li Luo in, as it led to their meeting.
Li Luo, flustered by his intense gaze, then inquired about her clothes, which Ka Suo confirmed were not burnt like the fish. Suddenly, Ying Kong Shi's Heart-Burning Fruit poison took effect, causing him to lash out at Ka Suo. Li Luo quickly intervened and knocked him unconscious. Realizing Ying Kong Shi would die without an antidote, Ka Suo asked Li Luo for directions to the Bear Tribe's path.
They decided to leave Ying Kong Shi there, believing Yan Da would find him, and Ka Suo reassured Li Luo that Ying Kong Shi would understand their actions were to save him. Indeed, Yan Da soon discovered Ying Kong Shi, calling him "Yun Fei," and anxiously checked on him.
Meanwhile, in the Fire Tribe's palace, the Fire King revealed Lian Ji's Teardrop Charm to the Mermaid Saint, remarking that if the Saint hadn't forced Lian Ji to marry the Ice King, the Fire and Mermaid Tribes would already be family. He added that with the Fire Tribe poised to conquer the three realms, the charm's influence was immense.
The Mermaid Saint, escorted by guards, entered and rebuked Lian Ji, slapping her and demanding to know why she gave the Teardrop Charm to the Fire King. She explained that the charm protected the Mermaid Tribe and by giving it away, Lian Ji exposed their tribe to foreign intervention in the Ice-Fire conflict. Lian Ji retorted that the Saint only cared about the Mermaid Tribe, not her happiness.
The Saint reminded Lian Ji that she raised her, but Lian Ji accused the Saint of favoring her older sister and Lan Shang, and of forcing her marriage to the Ice King, causing her unhappiness. The Saint then accused Lian Ji of orchestrating the war by killing Fire Prince Xin Jue for revenge. Lian Ji admitted to hating both the Ice King and Fire King and fantasizing about making them lose everything, but claimed she hadn't acted on it.
She asserted that a mysterious schemer was truly behind the prince's death and the ensuing war, attempting to profit from the conflict while remaining unscathed. Both Lian Ji and the Mermaid Saint suspected each other of being this mastermind. The Saint confessed her dislike for Lian Ji stemmed from her excessive cleverness, warning that she would ultimately fall victim to her own intelligence. Ka Suo and Li Luo arrived at the Spirit Lands, specifically Sprite Valley.
They witnessed mortals attempting to burn a rabbit sprite, Tu Tu, accusing sprites of harming humans. The rabbit sprite, Tu Tu, pleaded for help, and Ka Suo swiftly rescued her. Tu Tu then led them into an underground passage, her home, which turned out to be the entrance to the Spirit Lands. There, Pian Feng, the Eagle Sprite and chief guard of the Sprite Lands, appeared and welcomed them.
At the Fire Tribe camp, Shuo Gang interrogated Ying Kong Shi, questioning why Ka Suo left him alive and suspecting him of being a spy. Ying Kong Shi, maintaining his "Yun Fei" persona, feigned ignorance, claiming he was taken by someone in white, a "Prince something" who then punched him. Shuo Gang, unconvinced, decided to kill him to prevent future complications. Yan Da dramatically intervened, declaring Ying Kong Shi was hers and forbidding Shuo Gang from harming him.
Shuo Gang reiterated his intuition that this "mortal" was not simple. Yan Da agreed, acknowledging his intelligence and his help in retrieving an Ice Crystal, but reiterated her claim on him. She reminded Shuo Gang of the agreement between the mortal and divine realms, where harming a mortal would temporarily strip a divine being of their powers, a risk he couldn't afford with the impending battle against the fierce Bear Tribe.
Shuo Gang conceded and ordered his men to take Ying Kong Shi away, while Yan Da led Ying Kong Shi off. Ka Suo sought the Six-Leaf Ice Crystal from Pian Feng, who explained that the Sprite Queen had departed long ago and her whereabouts were unknown. Princess Chao Ya, the Queen's heir and current temporary leader, had also vanished a month prior.
Pian Feng further explained that enchanting music had been luring mortals to their disappearance or death, causing mortals to blame the sprites and launch crusades against them. The sprites were forced to hide underground. Ka Suo realized Princess Chao Ya was in danger, and as Pian Feng was about to search for her, Ka Suo and Li Luo offered their assistance.
Pian Feng accepted, and they proceeded to the Peach Blossom Valley, the last known location of Princess Chao Ya, where mortals fled from them in fear. Yan Da provided Ying Kong Shi with a ten-day antidote for the Heart-Burning Fruit, trusting that he would be safe.
Ying Kong Shi thanked her for defending him against Shuo Gang, but Yan Da playfully dismissed it, stating she acted for herself, likening it to a mortal saying, "to punish a dog, you have to look to the owner." She considered him "hers," implying Shuo Gang's attack on him was an attack on her. Yan Da confirmed their impending attack on the Bear Tribe, noting their unwavering loyalty to the Ice Tribe, whose ancestors had ridden Bear ancestors into battle.
She stressed that to obtain their Ice Crystal, they must be conquered. She instructed Ying Kong Shi to remain in the carriage. Shuo Gang then led the Fire Tribe forces, vowing to conquer the Bear Tribe and claim the Bear King's head. However, upon their arrival, the Bear King, Hei Feng, surprisingly welcomed the Fire Tribe as friends, with the tribal gates wide open.
