Xing Jiu, the Chief Dreamer, used a forbidden spell to enter the dreams of various tribal leaders. He first entered the dream of the Mermaid Saint, placing a Dream-Control Seal on her. He commanded her to give the Mermaid Tribe's hidden Six-Leaf Ice Crystal to the Fire Tribe and follow all their orders until her death, unless he, Xing Jiu, removed the seal.

Using this forbidden spell significantly reduced his lifespan by at least 500 years, an act he deeply regretted, stating he would choose death to repent if he had a choice. A Fire Tribe messenger then ordered Xing Jiu to hand over Ka Suo and Li Luo to be sent to the City of Bladed Snow. Despite Xing Jiu's concerns about Ka Suo not waking up, the messenger insisted it was the Fire King's business.

Xing Jiu, addressing Li Luo, the realm guardian, told her that she would have to rely on herself from that point on. After regaining consciousness, the Mermaid Saint's demeanor drastically changed. She warmly welcomed Prince Shuo Gang of the Fire Tribe to her onshore palace, apologizing for not being attentive enough. Shuo Gang suggested they would be family soon. She offered him wine and insisted Princess Lan Shang sit next to him.

Lan Shang, however, openly expressed her disinterest and dislike for Shuo Gang, even walking away from the table. The Mermaid Saint, clearly under the dream-control spell, intended to betroth Lan Shang to Shuo Gang, proclaiming that as the Queen, she would decide Lan Shang's marriage. Lan Shang defiantly refused, vowing that she would never marry into the Fire Tribe, even if it meant her death.

The Mermaid Saint assured Shuo Gang that she would persuade Lan Shang to accept the marriage. Ka Suo's dream continued, filled with an unsettling sense of unreality. He found himself questioning how the War of Ice and Fire ended and why he still worried about the Six-Leaf Ice Crystal. His dream-self Li Luo explained that Grandma Feng Tian had helped the Ice King and Queen raid the Fire Tribe.

Ka Suo found it strange that he had no recollection of these events, while Li Luo attributed it to them being in the Dream Tribe at the time. Despite Li Luo's explanations, Ka Suo felt that his happiness in the dream was too perfect and couldn't recall many past events. Dream-Li Luo informed him that 100 years had passed, and she had been his wife for that entire time, which Ka Suo found hard to believe.

Doubtful, Ka Suo sought out the real Li Luo, imprisoned in an ice cell. She reminded him of their first meeting, recalling that she was ordered to protect him and introduced herself as Li Luo. Ka Suo, still mistaking her for the Fire King, questioned how she knew his conversations with his dream-self Li Luo. The real Li Luo insisted she was the true Li Luo, not a creation of Xing Jiu, and that Ka Suo was still dreaming.

She explained that 100 years had passed in his dream since the war, but as a mortal, she could not maintain the same appearance for so long, using this as proof that he was still trapped. She desperately wanted to help him wake up, telling him that Ying Kong Shi and she were waiting for him. When Ka Suo demanded proof, Li Luo realized the only way to awaken him was to kill him within the dream.

Ka Suo, still under the illusion, called her a liar, but Li Luo apologized, affirming that this was the only way. As she fatally wounded him, Ying Kong Shi suddenly appeared and killed Li Luo, declaring that now no one could harm them anymore. The Fire King, pleased with Xing Jiu's dream-control spell, learned that all tribes except the Sprite and Healer Tribes had pledged allegiance to him. However, his subordinate reported that Princess Xing Gui was missing.

Enraged, the Fire King immediately ordered his men to find Xing Gui and to throw Ka Suo and Li Luo off the Endless Cliff. Meanwhile, Grandma Feng Tian was helping Xing Gui escape, with Xing Gui urging her to be careful. Xing Jiu, having foreseen Xing Gui's danger in a prophetic dream, knew the Fire King was trying to kill her. He promptly left the Dream Palace to rescue her, instructing his people to wait for his news.

A carriage containing Ka Suo and Li Luo was rushed towards the Endless Cliff by Fire Tribe soldiers. Ying Kong Shi, unable to protect it alone, desperately tried to wake them, calling out for Ka Suo and Li Luo. At the last moment, Ka Suo awoke and managed to save them all from being thrown off the cliff.

Ka Suo apologized to Ying Kong Shi for being difficult to wake, explaining that he heard the Sole Bamboo Flute but couldn't respond. Ying Kong Shi understood, but was puzzled why Li Luo hadn't woken up despite dying in the dream. Ka Suo explained that Xing Jiu had said repeated deaths in a dream make it harder to awaken.

Upon returning to the Dream Tribe, Ka Suo learned that Xing Jiu was away, having gone to rescue Xing Gui from the Fire King, who was pursuing her after her escape from the City of Bladed Snow. Ka Suo wondered why Xing Gui would return if the Fire King had her antidote, to which a Dream Tribe member speculated that Xing Gui might have discovered a secret unknown to Xing Jiu.

Learning that Yan Da was still trapped in a dream, Ka Suo devised a plan and asked Ying Kong Shi to stay behind to watch over her. Xing Jiu found Xing Gui and Grandma Feng Tian. Xing Jiu questioned why Xing Gui escaped, as he had accepted all of the Fire King's conditions, including helping him control the tribal leaders in exchange for the Hidden Lotus to save her.

Xing Gui revealed that she had overheard the Fire King and Shuo Gang talking at the City of Bladed Snow. Shuo Gang expressed concern that the Fire King would truly give the legendary Hidden Lotus to Xing Jiu, and the Fire King admitted he was lying. He had spread rumors of owning the Hidden Lotus long ago to manipulate Xing Jiu into becoming his pawn to unify the three realms, using his Dream-Control Spell to make tribal leaders submit.

The Fire King concluded that Xing Jiu's feelings for his sister made him weak, stating that "a god controlled by feelings is destined to fail." Xing Gui angrily denounced the Fire King as a despicable liar and urged her brother to fix the situation. The Fire King then suddenly appeared and attacked them, aiming to kill Xing Gui since the Dream-Control Spell was already in effect.

As Xing Jiu and Xing Gui shared an emotional goodbye, Ka Suo arrived just in time. The Fire King, surprised to see Ka Suo alive, declared that none of them would leave. Ka Suo immediately threatened the Fire King, stating that if he killed Xing Jiu, Yan Da, who was still deeply trapped in a dream, would never wake up.

Although the Fire King initially scoffed at the threat, he visibly reacted to a projection of Yan Da's distressed dream state, calling her "Peng Peng." Enraged that Yan Da was in a dream, he threatened to kill them all before saving her. Ka Suo countered that as long as he, Xing Jiu, and Xing Gui remained outside the Dream Tribe, Yan Da would be taken to a place the Fire King could never find her.

Xing Jiu quickly agreed to help Ka Suo with this plan, forcing the Fire King to retreat due to concern for his daughter Yan Da. Li Luo slowly woke up, inquiring about Ka Suo, and was relieved to learn he had awakened on his own and helped save Xing Gui and Xing Jiu. Grandma Feng Tian used a Magic Healing Orb to heal Ka Suo's injuries.

Ying Kong Shi noted that his brother, Ka Suo, had taken a huge risk by fighting the Fire King alone. Ying Kong Shi, curious about Ka Suo's dream, asked him about it. Ka Suo recalled Li Luo in his dream, who he had mistakenly tried to kill. He thanked Li Luo for helping him wake up.

Li Luo, teasing him, said he was "acting outrageous" in his dream, and jokingly accused him of hating her because he saw her as the Fire King. Ka Suo insisted his dream actions were uncontrollable, while Li Luo countered that "dreams are the truest reflection of your heart's deepest desires," implying he genuinely disliked her.

Meanwhile, Yan Da woke up in the City of Bladed Snow and immediately sought out her father, the Fire King, admitting her wrongdoings and asking for a chance to redeem herself. The Fire King rebuked her, stating that admitting weakness was not the way of a strong warrior. He then asked Shuo Gang about the Mermaid Saint.

Shuo Gang reported that the Mermaid Saint, who had initially agreed to marry Lan Shang to him, suddenly changed her mind and opposed it that afternoon. Realizing that Xing Jiu had removed the Dream-Control Spell from the Mermaid Tribe and other tribal leaders, thereby publicly rebelling against him, the Fire King furiously ordered an immediate attack on the Dream Tribe.

The Dream Tribe elders accused Xing Jiu of using forbidden spells and tarnishing their tribe's reputation for his own selfishness, demanding he step down from his leadership. Ka Suo intervened, defending Xing Jiu by explaining that he had no choice and that he and Xing Gui would have died at the Fire King's hands if Xing Jiu hadn't trapped Yan Da in a dream.

While the elders acknowledged Ka Suo as Prince of the Ice Tribe, they maintained that Xing Jiu had abused his power by aligning with the Fire King and was unfit to lead. As the elders continued to demand his resignation, Xing Jiu remained silent, but Xing Gui stepped forward to reveal the truth. She showed the elders a dark bruise on her arm and explained that she knew why she couldn't live past 100 years.

She recounted a past conversation with their father, who explained that the Dream Tribe's excessive use of dream-control powers had accumulated too much negative energy, causing the sacred Ice Crystal, bestowed by She Mi, to turn black. If the Ice Crystal were to break, the tribe would lose its dream-interpreting abilities forever, and the released energy would destroy the entire Dream Tribe.

To save the clan, their father had transferred this dangerous energy into Xing Gui's body, restoring the Ice Crystal's purity but condemning Xing Gui to a short life. Xing Gui explained that her brother's actions were not merely to save her, but to prevent this catastrophic release of energy that would endanger the entire clan. Xing Jiu, still in denial, insisted their father was lying and that her illness would improve, but Xing Gui accepted her fate.

Finally, the elders understood Xing Jiu's painful sacrifice and his honorable intentions. Now free from the Dream-Control Seal, the Mermaid Saint recognized that the Dream Tribe and Healer Tribe had turned against the Fire Tribe, which necessitated a recalculation of her own tribe's fate. She ordered her tribe to prepare to return to the Endless Sea. However, Prince Shuo Gang and Princess Yan Da arrived with a large Fire Tribe army.

Shuo Gang reiterated his marriage proposal for Lan Shang, but the rational Mermaid Saint firmly rejected it, stating it was premature. Yan Da, however, declared her intent to expedite the decision, and then brutally killed several Mermaid Tribe guards, forcing the Mermaid Saint and Lan Shang to accompany them to the City of Bladed Snow. In the Dream Tribe, all citizens prepared for war against the Fire King.

Ka Suo saw Grandma Feng Tian off, agreeing that they should split up to divert the Fire King's attention, and promising to win their "hide and seek game." Ka Suo, Li Luo, and Ying Kong Shi planned to travel to the Sprite Lands next to search for another ice crystal. Ying Kong Shi asked Li Luo about the dream that had trapped Ka Suo.

Li Luo described it as a good dream where the War of Ice and Fire had been over for a century, the world was peaceful, and Ka Suo was the Ice King. She mentioned that even though Ying Kong Shi (in the dream) had killed her, Ka Suo still trusted him. When Ying Kong Shi inquired about Li Luo's role in Ka Suo's dream, she hesitated before claiming to have forgotten, downplaying it as "just a dream."

He then asked about her real feelings for Ka Suo. Li Luo affirmed that in reality, Ka Suo was kind and warm-hearted, and would one day be their king. She swore to be his most loyal realm guardian and serve him for her entire life, considering him her only king. Ying Kong Shi, in an inner monologue, wondered if she truly only saw him as a king.
