Sword and Beloved Episode 33 Recap
> Sword and Beloved Recap
Quan Jingting commanded Long Weiyun to seal her Demon Power and follow him, threatening to make her watch as Quan Rumu suffered an agonizing death if she refused. Soon after, Rumu regained consciousness and was distraught to see Long Weiyun lying nearby, covered in blood. He furiously demanded to know what Quan Jingting had done to her.
Quan Jingting, with a callous smile, revealed that Long Weiyun truly loved Rumu, so much so that she willingly allowed him to break her dragon horns and peel off her dragon scales for Rumu's sake. Enraged, Rumu declared that he regretted not killing Quan Jingting when he had the chance. Quan Jingting merely sneered and moved towards Long Weiyun, intending to kill her right in front of Rumu.
Unwilling to witness this, Rumu mustered his remaining strength, activating his sword meridian, and lunged at Quan Jingting with a blade, proclaiming that someone as "filthy, cruel, heartless, and loveless" as him would never understand the power of love and duty. Quan Jingting fell, stabbed, and Rumu rushed to embrace Long Weiyun. Long Weiyun, barely clinging to life, weakly opened her eyes and told Rumu she thought she would never see him again.
Rumu held her tightly, vowing that he would never let her suffer again. However, Quan Jingting, still alive, delivered a fatal blow to Rumu from behind. Rumu, shocked by his own father's ruthlessness, heard Quan Jingting's chilling lesson: "When you kill, always make sure to finish your enemy off." Seeing the danger, Long Weiyun tried to protect Rumu and escape, but it was too late. As Rumu lay dying, he pulled out a red scarf.
Long Weiyun understood his unspoken wish and tearfully placed the blood-stained scarf on her head. Rumu, gazing at her beautiful face beneath the scarf, slowly closed his eyes, remembering a time when they stood under a tree, making wishes. He had wished to marry Long Weiyun and be together forever, and she had wished for all of his desires to come true. Meanwhile, at Wangquan Manor, Wangquan Fugui suddenly felt his sword meridian weakening.
Concerned, he immediately suspected something was wrong with Rumu. He ordered his sword attendants to prepare, declaring he had to return to the Western Regions at once. He arrived too late, finding Long Weiyun cradling Rumu, weeping uncontrollably. Fugui's heart ached with unbearable grief. Upon learning that Quan Jingting was responsible, he instructed his attendants to give Rumu a proper burial, then turned to seek out Quan Jingting, vowing to avenge his younger brother.
In Qianji City, Qing Tong had been noticeably distracted, wondering about Wangquan Fugui's well-being. Little Bun, noticing her melancholy, thoughtfully offered her some mugwort dumplings. Qing Tong declined, explaining she wasn't hungry, but Little Bun insisted one was saved for Brother Fugui. Moments later, a subordinate reported that a cat demon had come seeking help, her child kidnapped by bandits who had fled south. Qing Tong immediately rose to investigate.
Long Weiyun, having laid Rumu to rest, felt a profound stillness within her. She sat by his grave, explaining to her departed beloved that the True Dragon Clan are noble and proud, and if a chosen partner passes away, the other will not choose to live on alone. She recalled Rumu once asking her to make it snow for him.
Although she knew Rumu would want her to live for herself, she affirmed that having promised to be his wife and go to Tushan with him to renew their bond, she could no longer live only for herself. Recounting an ancient legend of the True Dragon Clan—that if a dragon's core melts into snow and falls upon a beloved's heart, their souls will meet again in another life—Long Weiyun resolved to fulfill her promise.
She gathered her remaining strength, her body dissolving into a pure white snow that fell gracefully from the sky. With her final words, she whispered, "Rumu, I'm coming to keep you company," as she vanished. Madam Black Fox received a report from Jiuwei that Quan Jingting's actions had completely enraged Wangquan Fugui, who was now frantically searching for Quan Jingting to exact revenge. Madam Black Fox was delighted, stating that everything was proceeding as she had foreseen.
She believed that as Fugui's hatred intensified and fully consumed him, the immense power unleashed would allow her to break her dimensional seal and use his hate-ridden body as her perfect vessel. She commanded Jiuwei to continue monitoring Wangquan Fugui and await the opportune moment. Meanwhile, Quan Jingting, having absorbed the True Dragon power, felt an overwhelming sense of might.
He grumbled about Wangquan Hongye dying prematurely, lamenting that he hadn't had the chance to battle him and personally seize the Wangquan Sword. Just as he spoke, the Wangquan Sword plunged into the ground before him. Wangquan Fugui, dressed in white, stood opposite him, his face stern and resolute. Quan Jingting, brimming with arrogant confidence, welcomed the challenge and unleashed a powerful attack, kicking up a swirling vortex of sand that engulfed Fugui.
Quan Jingting grinned triumphantly, but as the dust settled, the sight before him made his eyes widen in disbelief. He taunted Fugui, reminding him that he had failed to save Wangquan Hongye and now Quan Rumu. To inflict more pain, he pulled out a small, flat stone that Rumu had once made for skipping and tossed it back to Fugui.
Crushed by the memory of his brother's unfulfilled dreams, Fugui lamented to himself that he wished Rumu had never returned, as it would have spared him this fate. Seeing his words land their blow, Quan Jingting declared himself the true ruler of the world and warned Fugui that opposing him meant death.
