Gulizan revealed her deep hatred for the Corsac Fox clan's betrayal a thousand years ago and explained that the Myriad Blight Formation had been activated. She declared her intention to sacrifice the Western Regions to help Madam Black Fox gain a physical form, destroy the world, and restore the Qianxia Kingdom. She also revealed she had sent Fan Yunfei into the core of this dangerous formation.
Li Xueyang was furious, accusing Gulizan of madness for making the current generation pay for ancient mistakes. Determined to save Fan Yunfei, Li Xueyang decided to enter the formation. Quan Rumu instructed Long Weiyun to accompany Li Xueyang, while he stayed behind to confront Gulizan and prevent her from bringing her powerful snake staff into the formation.
Gulizan scoffed at Rumu, asserting that as the formation was already active and irreversible, a mere head of the Quan family could not stop her. Rumu, however, was resolute in his goal to prevent her from reaching the formation's core. Meanwhile, Qingcheng, having gained control of Qing Tong's body, sought to remove the tree seed within her, claiming he would protect her and make her his, whether she consented or not.
A minion of Madam Black Fox, observing Qingcheng, noted that the great drama in the Western Regions had begun and that once Qingcheng obtained Madam Black Fox's power, he would no longer fear the Soldier. Qingcheng then attempted to fuse his blood with the tree seed to claim it for himself, driven by his deepest, darkest desire: the fear of losing Qing Tong.
He confessed that this inner darkness had led to his possession by the Black Fox, but the power gained had also made him stronger. Qing Tong, who had been secretly conscious, suddenly intervened, stopping Qingcheng. She was hurt by his actions, realizing he intended to remove the seed, which would kill her. Qingcheng expressed surprise, claiming Madam Black Fox had lied to him about the lethal consequences.
Qing Tong asked him if, given another chance, he would still choose to be possessed by the Black Fox. Qingcheng defiantly stated that he would choose the path of a ruthless powerhouse over a kind, insignificant nobody a million times over. He admitted his deep-seated hatred for those who had wronged him, including the Soldier.
Realizing Qingcheng intended to destroy them both with the tree seed, Qing Tong tearfully told him she hated him for choosing this path but had never given up on him. She accepted their fate, wishing they could meet again in the next life, but not as siblings. As Madam Black Fox, speaking through the minion, urged him to destroy Qing Tong, Qingcheng hesitated and then disintegrated in a flash of light.
At the core of the Myriad Blight Formation, Fan Yunfei was engulfed by raging flames. Li Xueyang and Long Weiyun arrived, desperately trying to suppress the fire. Fan Yunfei urged them to leave, explaining that his father had warned that the formation required the combined powers of a human, a dragon, and a demon to detonate. Their presence completed the trio, sealing their fate.
Li Xueyang, refusing to abandon her husband, declared she would never leave, and they continued to exert their power against the inferno. Madam Black Fox, sensing the presence of all three clans, rejoiced at Gulizan's success and decided to amplify the formation's power to ensure the Western Regions' destruction. Meanwhile, in the Emotion-Devouring Snow Demon's barrier, the demon recounted Gulizan's plan to assist Madam Black Fox in taking physical form, which would secure Fugui's life force for herself.
Fugui, who had been feigning his frozen state, used this opportunity to gather critical information. He revealed he was aware of the Snow Demon's true nature as an ancient, deceptively innocent entity sustained by devoured spirits. The Snow Demon realized Fugui had tricked her. Breaking free, Fugui sensed the colossal storm generated by the formation heading directly towards the Corsac Fox State.
He knew he had to stop it within an hour, or the entire Western Regions would be wiped out. Madam Black Fox, sensing the Purest Sun Flame, recognized its wielder as Wangquan Fugui and expressed her eagerness to test the legendary Soldier's strength. Back at Gulizan's location, Rumu, though overwhelmed and disarmed, remembered his brother's teachings: that the Wangquan Sword was meant to carve a path of light through darkness. Enduring immense pain, he retrieved his fallen sword.
With renewed determination, he unleashed a powerful strike, and Gulizan collapsed, turning to ash. Madam Black Fox, witnessing this, dismissed Gulizan as a failure but noted her own backup plan would ensure the death was not entirely in vain. Simultaneously, Fan Yunfei unleashed his full power, activating his Water-Control Orb and channeling demon power as once taught by Fugui. He successfully extinguished the massive fireball, emerging severely wounded but alive.
He collapsed into Li Xueyang's arms, and they embraced tightly, their mission a success. With Gulizan defeated, Madam Black Fox felt the pressure from Fugui's Purest Sun Flame and realized she was up against the Soldier. She decided to retreat. As tranquility returned to the desert, Fugui allowed himself a faint smile, his thoughts turning to Qing Tong, wondering about her fate.
