After a desperate struggle, Qing Tong was unable to escape Quan Jingting's pursuit and was eventually knocked unconscious. Observing her, Quan Jingting remarked that she was quite interesting, making it no wonder the Soldier had taken a liking to her. Meanwhile, Wangquan Hongye held the sword he had forged with his wife, Dongfang Huaizhu, reminiscing about the joy of becoming a father.

He recalled telling his wife that this sword would be their child's Wangquan Sword, and he would teach their son every sword technique he knew. Steward Fei entered, and Wangquan Hongye inquired about the elders. Steward Fei reported that they were still waiting in the hall, demanding a satisfactory answer soon; otherwise, they threatened to forge Fugui into a magic tool. Wangquan Hongye expressed his determination not to let them punish Fugui so easily.

He asked if Fugui had reflected on his actions, to which Steward Fei replied that the Young Master was as stubborn as Wangquan Hongye was in his youth and remained unrepentant while hanging in the tree. Wangquan Hongye decided to wait one more day, vowing to personally expel those elders from Wangquan Manor if Fugui still refused to apologize by tomorrow. A subordinate then reported that Quan Jingting requested Wangquan Hongye's immediate presence in the main hall.

Upon arriving, Wangquan Hongye found several elders gathered there, and Qing Tong kneeling on the ground, having been captured. He questioned Quan Jingting's intentions, who then declared that Qing Tong was the pitiful little demon who had accompanied the Soldier at the Cold Pool. An elder present doubted this, pointing out her lack of demonic aura.

Quan Jingting claimed the Soldier had used a magic tool to suppress her aura and presented the Dust-Seeker Sword, which he claimed to have found on Qing Tong. Elder Shouren confirmed it was crafted with the Wangquan family's unique sword-forging technique and demanded an explanation from Wangquan Hongye. Quan Jingting then directly pressed Qing Tong, asserting she was a demon and demanding she explain what was happening.

Qing Tong defiantly admitted she was a spider demon from the Silk Cave, sent by her Mistress to take human form and infiltrate Wangquan Manor. She confessed to stealing the Dust-Seeker Sword herself, stating her intention was to kill everyone in the manor as demons and the Wangquan family were sworn enemies. Having been caught, she declared she had nothing more to say and was willing to die.

Quan Jingting, however, refused to believe her, insisting the matter was grave due to the Soldier's alleged affair with a demon and required thorough investigation. He suggested Wangquan Hongye recuse himself due to his father-son relationship with the Soldier. Elder Shouren agreed, authorizing Quan Jingting to interrogate Qing Tong. Quan Jingting proceeded to torture Qing Tong with spiritual power, but she remained unyielding.

She accused him of hypocrisy, calling him a treacherous, faithless, and self-serving scumbag, and exposed his true motive, stating he was merely using the situation for personal revenge and to eliminate enemies, reminding everyone how he was once driven from Wangquan Manor. Enraged, Quan Jingting intensified the torture, but Qing Tong continued to defy him.

He then produced a brocade found in the Soldier's quarters, claiming it was proof of their intimate relationship, stating that weaving silk brocade was a unique demonic skill of the spindle spider demon and linked the situation to the Blue Sky Assembly's prophecy, which foretold "13 Moves and the Heaven-and-Earth Strike—the Soldier will break the circle and end the world." He concluded that the Soldier could not be allowed to stay.

Steward Fei immediately interjected, asserting that as long as Young Master Fugui had not unleashed the Heaven-and-Earth Strike, anyone who called him the prophesied one would have to answer to him first. Quan Jingting disregarded him, ordering that the Soldier be brought, but Fugui had already arrived. Fugui appeared in the hall, acknowledging the brocade painting.

Wangquan Hongye confronted him, calling him naive and foolish for being bewitched by a demon, even refusing to draw the Wangquan Sword for her sake. He deemed Fugui unworthy of the Wangquan lineage and the Wangquan Sword, demanding he kill Qing Tong to atone. Fugui refused, asking if his father only wanted him to kill her because she was a demon. He questioned Wangquan Hongye's own marriage to Dongfang Huaizhu, asking if it was solely to produce a stronger Soldier.

Fugui explained that while he had always obeyed his father and accepted his role as the Soldier, it was not the path he had chosen. He clarified that his actions were not merely for a demon, but for his understanding of the Way of the Sword, which his father had never truly listened to, instead seeing him as just a weapon.

He declared that the world belongs to all living beings, not just humans or demons, and kindness transcends their differences. As this path contradicted his father's, he announced his departure from the Yiqi Alliance, placing the Wangquan Sword on the ground. He then gently asked Qing Tong if, should they survive, she would be willing to see the world with him. Embracing the injured Qing Tong, he began to walk out.

The enraged Quan Jingting yelled, branding Fugui a traitor and ordering everyone to stop and kill him, claiming Fugui owed the Yiqi Alliance everything. He commanded the alliance members to unleash "a thousand swords" upon Fugui. As countless swords rained down, Fugui initially used his spiritual power as a shield, but it quickly depleted. Swords pierced his body, staining his white robes with blood, and he collapsed, dazed.

In that moment, he heard his mother, Dongfang Huaizhu, reminding him that his spiritual blood still flowed and his life would not end there, before helping him awaken his divine dragon power. Fugui's form transformed, prompting Quan Jingting to exclaim that the Soldier was demonizing and to rally everyone to capture him. However, they were no match for Fugui's awakened power, and Quan Jingting was swiftly defeated.

Wangquan Hongye intervened to stop Fugui, who knelt before him in a final farewell. As others prepared to pursue, Steward Fei and Feng Tingyun stepped forward, defiantly declaring that Fugui, having endured a thousand swords for his path and abandoned the Wangquan Sword, had paid his dues. They challenged anyone who still harbored grievances to face them first.

Wangquan Hongye then had a flashback of Dongfang Huaizhu, who had once made him promise that if their son Fugui ever wished to leave, he would let him go. Returning to the present, Wangquan Hongye faced the remaining elders and publicly declared that Fugui had grown up and was no longer the one destined by the Spiritual Stone's prophecy, having endured "a thousand swords" and abandoned the Wangquan Sword. He dared anyone who remained unconvinced to challenge him directly. Later, alone, Wangquan Hongye murmured, "Huaizhu, Fugui wanted to leave, and I let him go. But was this truly the right choice?"
