Lin Haoshu, unnerved by Chi Yu's overly attentive behavior, explicitly stated that he is a straight guy and already has a girl he likes. He then hastily grabbed his luggage and left the hotel, with Chi Yu closely following him. Earlier, Chi Yu had appeared in Lin Haoshu's hotel room, trying to make the bed for him and insisting they share a room for Lin Haoshu's safety, even offering to scrub his back in the shower.

Lin Haoshu grew increasingly uncomfortable, eventually running out. Just then, Wen Suxi called Lin Haoshu, inviting him out to dinner. Lin Haoshu, with Chi Yu in tow, went to meet her. At the restaurant, Lin Haoshu confided in Wen Suxi about Chi Yu's strange actions, including his desire to share a room. Wen Suxi playfully teased Lin Haoshu about his unexpected charm.

Lin Haoshu then revealed his predicament of being homeless because he forgot to renew his lease and asked if he could stay at her place. Wen Suxi was initially hesitant, but Chi Yu, understanding Lin Haoshu's unspoken feelings, offered a deal: if Wen Suxi let Lin Haoshu stay, he would fully cooperate in clarifying the rumors about her at the upcoming gala. Wen Suxi conceded, and Lin Haoshu moved into her guest room, which he had to clean himself.

Later, as they shared snacks, Wen Suxi told Lin Haoshu about Mr. Tang's confession of love and asked him what love truly felt like. Lin Haoshu described it as finding happiness in a person's presence, subconsciously remembering their words, and being unable to take one's eyes off them. He admitted he hadn't experienced it himself but knew people who had.

Lin Haoshu felt a pang of disappointment, but Wen Suxi stated she only regarded Mr. Tang as a friend and was unsure how to respond to him, considering him her boss, mentor, and friend. Wen Suxi, noting his history, jokingly questioned if he liked girls, to which he attributed his lack of relationships to his dedication to his drawing career.

Meanwhile, Mr. Tang arrived home to find Cai Shumeng waiting at his door, having had a few drinks with the company's PR team. She tried to prolong their interaction, but Mr. Tang, visibly uncomfortable, urged her to go home. Shumeng then brought up the next day's press conference, insinuating that mishandling Wen Suxi's scandal, particularly by involving the "fan of her friend's comics" (Chi Yu), could harm the company.

She subtly tried to sow discord between Mr. Tang and Suxi, hinting at her own long-standing support for him. Mr. Tang dismissed her concerns, suggesting she had too much to drink and asked his assistant, Jiang Yu, to take her home. Back at Wen Suxi's house, Lin Haoshu stood in the bathroom, sighing at his own cowardice for not confessing his love to Suxi, unlike Mr. Tang. Suddenly, Chi Yu appeared beside him, startling him.

Lin Haoshu, wanting to kick Chi Yu out but hearing Wen Suxi in the living room, dragged Chi Yu back into the bathroom. He emphatically told Chi Yu that he only liked women. Chi Yu, at first mistaking this for Lin Haoshu believing he had a "different sex orientation" but assuring him it was understandable in this day and age, eventually clarified that he already had his own beloved, a female general named Ji Wan. This relieved Lin Haoshu.

Chi Yu then encouraged Lin Haoshu to confess to Wen Suxi, asserting that she was not someone who cared about wealth. However, Lin Haoshu remained insecure about his financial situation compared to Mr. Tang's. Elsewhere, popular idol Duola and Hu Dongkai were photographed in a seemingly intimate encounter at a hotel, sparking rumors. This, however, was a deliberate setup by the two to generate publicity for themselves.

Back at Suxi's, Chi Yu, in an attempt to help Lin Haoshu win Wen Suxi's affection, arranged an array of ancient musical instruments at her doorstep. He urged Lin Haoshu to play, claiming it would reveal Suxi's true feelings. Lin Haoshu reluctantly beat a drum, causing such a disturbance that neighbors complained. Wen Suxi emerged, admonishing them, but put the argument on hold as she had to leave for a company meeting.

At the meeting, Wen Suxi introduced Chi Yu, where Cai Shumeng openly mocked his attire, asking if he always dressed that way and that it was unsuitable for a charity dinner. Wen Suxi assured everyone she would resolve the styling issue for the gala. Mr. Tang stressed the importance of clarifying the news for Wen Suxi and upholding the company's image, especially during the promotion of two new films.

Later, when they were alone, Cai Shumeng tried to subtly provoke Chi Yu by implying Wen Suxi had given him money to help, as he wasn't truly her friend. Chi Yu, however, saw through her intentions, stating that not everyone can be bought with money and that her "mean-spirited" words revealed her own character, adding that it was evident her relationship with Wen Suxi was not good. Shumeng, exposed, retreated in embarrassment.

To prepare Chi Yu for the gala, Wen Suxi took him shopping for a formal suit and insisted he get a haircut. Chi Yu was uncomfortable in the new suit and initially resisted the haircut, considering it a custom of "barbaric people." Wen Suxi then called him, reminding him to memorize his lines and be on time, saying he could wear anything "appropriate" but must wear a bow tie.

Mistaking her words to mean he could keep his hair, Chi Yu was then forcibly taken to the barbershop by Lin Haoshu. Meanwhile, Duola discovered that the gown she had initially chosen for the charity gala had been rented by Wen Suxi. Annoyed, Duola instructed her assistant to acquire an identical dress, intending to deliberately "clash" with Wen Suxi and embarrass her.

Indeed, at the red carpet, reporters noticed both women in the same dress, laughing and making disparaging comments about Wen Suxi's appearance compared to Duola's, calling it the "best contrast between buyer show and seller show" and noting "time spares no one." They eagerly awaited a joint photo. Wen Suxi was visibly mortified and confronted her assistant, who couldn't explain how the identical dress was rented.

As it was almost Wen Suxi's turn to go on stage, Chi Yu arrived at the last minute, not in the formal suit Wen Suxi had picked, but in a long, flowing robe, albeit with a bow tie. Wen Suxi muttered her frustration at his unusual attire, accusing him of doing it on purpose and comparing him to someone dressed for a temple.

Chi Yu explained his delay was due to the haircut and then sarcastically criticized Wen Suxi for using him for her own selfish benefit. During their media Q&A, initial questions went smoothly. However, when asked about how long they had known each other, Chi Yu stammered, calling them "magnets since childhood" before correcting to "good friends."

When asked why Wen Suxi had put him in the trunk with his clothes undone, Chi Yu recounted the pre-arranged story about drinking twenty bottles of beer and throwing up, with Wen Suxi taking care of him, adding that anyone implying otherwise was "up to no good." When a reporter pressed for specifics about why his clothes were undone, Chi Yu admitted Suxi hadn't prepared him for that question.

Wen Suxi tried to guide him, but Chi Yu continued to repeat his lines, leading reporters to speculate about their intimate relationship. Seeing the situation unravel, Mr. Tang swiftly stepped onto the stage to intervene. As he was about to invite Wen Suxi forward, presumably to announce their relationship, Chi Yu accidentally stepped on her gown, causing her to almost trip.

As he steadied her, he caught sight of three distinct red birthmarks on her back, located precisely where his beloved female general, Ji Wan, had been struck by arrows. A flood of vivid memories washed over him, recalling the moment of their heartbreaking farewell on the battlefield when Ji Wan sacrificed herself to protect him. He was left in awe of such an uncanny coincidence.
