Bao Xia prepared hot water for the Sixth Prince, and Shao Yao added some medicinal herbs to promote blood circulation and reduce bruising. Fudong prepared a hot meal for him. Early the next morning, Bao Xia discovered that the Sixth Prince was missing and quickly informed Hua Zhi. Hua Zhi found him under her bed.

Though he had changed into clean clothes and tidied up, the Sixth Prince still only trusted Hua Zhi and became her little shadow, following her wherever she went. Manager Bai came to visit Hua Zhi, proposing a final showdown on the last day of the competition, with each side sending a chef to compete in skills. Upon hearing this, Fudong volunteered to represent Hua Ji and requested to face Liang Fugui from Bai Ji.

That night, the Sixth Prince hid behind a rock and witnessed a palace servant conspiring with a man in black. The servant took a needle from the man in black. After being discovered, the Sixth Prince escaped by hiding in a cart used to carry chamber pots and ended up wandering the streets. He later dreamed of that incident and shouted, “Don’t kill me! ” in his sleep.

Bao Xia heard him and went in to cover him with a blanket, but he suddenly woke up and nearly slashed her with a small knife. Her startled cry brought Hua Zhi running. Hua Zhi told the Sixth Prince that in this home, even without a knife, he could sleep peacefully. Only then did the Sixth Prince throw the knife away.

After Hua Zhi went out, the Sixth Prince snuck a bun and ran out of the Hua residence while Bao Xia wasn’t paying attention. The Qixiu Guards paraded a carriage through the streets to draw attention, successfully luring out a group of men in black. The Qixiu Guards had been prepared and swiftly captured all of them, deliberately letting one escape to send a message. That man fled to a courtyard, unaware that Li Hou had been secretly following him.

Though Li Hou didn’t get a good look at the contact’s face, he recognized the voice as that of Eunuch Wei, who served Prince Xian. Realizing the plan had been exposed, Prince Xian immediately summoned his men into the palace, while personally leading a group split in two—half to the Hua residence, the other half to Tangxi Tower to search for the Sixth Prince.

Prince Xian arrived at Tangxi Tower and asked Hua Zhi for tea, while his men searched room by room below. Eunuch Wei led men through the Hua residence but couldn’t find the Sixth Prince, so they set the house on fire. For the ultimate showdown, everyone from the Hua family gathered at Tangxi Tower to watch. The first round was a knife skills competition, and Fudong redeemed herself with ease, winning the round.

Hua Zhi wasn’t skilled at making tea, and when Prince Xian took a sip and coughed, his subordinates prepared to make trouble for her. Fortunately, Gu Yanxi arrived just in time to defuse the situation. The Sixth Prince was hiding under the table in their room, so frightened that he didn’t even dare to breathe, clutching the bun in his hand tightly. The second round tested control over heat.

Initially, Prince Xian seemed interested, but upon learning that the Sixth Prince hadn’t been found at either the Hua residence or downstairs, his expression darkened, and he asked to speak with Hua Zhi alone. Gu Yanxi said Hua Zhi was his wife and that anything could be discussed openly. Prince Xian dropped the pretense and directly asked where the boy she had taken was. Hua Zhi replied that he was her younger brother, Hua Bolin.

Downstairs, Fudong won the round to loud applause, and Prince Xian ordered the windows shut. In the third round, each side had to prepare a dish for the guests. Liang Fugui said he would make roasted camel hump, while Fudong began preparing her specialty. As they carefully handled the ingredients, the Qixiu Guards silently and efficiently eliminated the elite guards from Prince Xian’s residence hidden among the crowd.

The battle of master chefs was intense, and everyone praised the roasted camel hump. Fudong then revealed the name of her dish—“Surpassing the Camel Hump”—made with fish bladder, a dish everyone could afford. The competition ended with the Hua family’s victory. Prince Xian attempted to kill Hua Zhi, unaware that the room was surrounded by Qixiu Guards. It wasn’t until they stormed into the room that Prince Xian realized Gu Yanxi was the commander of the Qixiu Guards.
