The Lang family's cosmetic workshop, Lang Lichun, faced a severe crisis. The Shi Hanglu Workshop exacerbated the situation by offering significantly higher monthly wages, leading to a massive outflow of skilled female workers from Lang Lichun.
This caused a drop in monthly production and jeopardized the completion of orders destined for the South Pacific. Haitang spent the entire day engrossed in the color cards, so much so that everything appeared red to her upon returning home.
