Synopsis
In January 1940, Liang Shuo, an injured underground operative of the Chinese Communist Party, awoke in a blizzard-swept mountain, suffering from amnesia. Following clues, he arrived in Shanghai to uncover his identity but found himself ensnared by the Japanese, leading him to suspect he was part of the Military Bureau. Agents from Wang Puppet Regime's No. 76 also approached him, claiming he was their action division chief.
At this critical juncture, the Japanese and Wang Puppet governments were set to jointly host the "Greater East Asia Co-Prosperity Sphere Conference." After the conference, a group of refugees and laborers, rigorously imprisoned by the Japanese, were slated to be sent to the battlefield, their lives hanging by a thread. Our Party formulated the "Abyss Dweller" plan to rescue these compatriots during the conference. However, the underground Party member code-named "Frost," tasked with executing the plan, mysteriously disappeared.
Amidst numerous traps set by Japanese and puppet regime secret agents, Liang Shuo gradually recovered his memories, realizing that he was, in fact, "Frost." Upholding his communist beliefs, Liang Shuo bravely risked his life, returning to No. 76 to find an opportunity to rescue his compatriots. He then learned that a dormant list of Japanese spies, hidden for over a decade, was also scheduled to be activated at the conference. To complete the "Abyss Dweller" plan, he had to seize this list. Liang Shuo rallied all patriotic forces around him, ultimately foiling the Japanese conspiracy and rescuing over a thousand refugees.
