The Mid-Autumn Festival was approaching, and the Dajiang Skating Rink was about to hold a grand party for the Youth Association gathering. The factory workers were very happy after hearing about it. Bai Lan came to visit Lu Xiaolu. Lu Xiaolu told Bai Lan that he would be discharged from the hospital the next day. Bai Lan said she also had good news, which was that she would soon return to work at the Second Light Industry Bureau.

Lu Xiaolu's attitude changed from before; he was genuinely happy for Bai Lan from the bottom of his heart. It turned out that Lu Xiaolu had realized that he would also be very happy if Bai Lan did something she liked. Lu Xiaolu then asked how Bai Lan planned to spend the Mid-Autumn Festival. Bai Lan said she hadn't celebrated the Mid-Autumn Festival since she went to the orphanage. Lu Xiaolu fell into deep thought. Lu Xiaolu quickly returned home.

Qin Juan and Niu Xiaoying both came to see Lu Xiaolu. Lu Xiaolu's mother liked both children very much. Bi Zhigang found his mother and hoped he could bring someone to the Mid-Autumn Festival dance at the Second Light Industry Bureau. Bi Zhigang's mother said directly that not just anyone could be brought to the dance and mentioned finding Ding Dezhong to handle the matter. On Lu Xiaolu's side, his mother unexpectedly invited him to dinner.

His mother first asked Lu Xiaolu about a dance partner for the Mid-Autumn Festival. She also said she knew Lu Xiaolu had someone he wanted to invite and that she was very optimistic about the two of them. Lu Xiaolu was overjoyed to hear this. His mother also said the person would arrive soon. Lu Xiaolu happily looked up and saw Qin Juan!

What Lu Xiaolu didn't know was that Bai Lan had also come to this restaurant, brought by Ding Dezhong! Bai Lan then met Bi Zhigang and his mother. The mother immediately started inquiring about Bai Lan. Bai Lan talked about not having a degree certificate, the incident where she broke the principal's head, and the reason she was sent down to the boiler room.

Upon hearing this, the mother immediately concluded that Bai Lan was someone with poor character, followed by various condescending remarks. Lu Xiaolu, urged by his mother to find Qin Juan, accidentally overheard this at the door. Lu Xiaolu couldn't bear it any longer and rushed in to speak up for Bai Lan, even saying that he was Bai Lan's boyfriend. However, Bai Lan denied it. Therefore, Bi Zhigang's mother started demeaning Lu Xiaolu again.

Bai Lan immediately stood up and said directly that Lu Xiaolu was her best friend and that they would leave together. After saying that, she pulled Lu Xiaolu and left. Lu Xiaolu talked about that night again with Bai Lan. Bai Lan didn't understand why Lu Xiaolu kept thinking about that night and could only apologize for kissing Lu Xiaolu that night. Lu Xiaolu, however, looked confused.

Only then did Bai Lan realize Lu Xiaolu had misunderstood and had to tell the truth about that night. It turned out they both got drunk afterwards, and Lu Xiaolu directly pulled Bai Lan to play finger-guessing games! Lu Xiaolu was disheartened and went to drink with Li Guangnan. On the way back, the two encountered Qin Juan, who had come to find Li Guangnan to be her dance partner. Li Guangnan immediately agreed!

Lu Xiaolu couldn't help but think of his invitation to Bai Lan to be his dance partner, but Bai Lan hadn't responded yet. Niu Xiaoying was also waiting for Lu Xiaolu to invite her to be his dance partner. What she didn't know was that Chang Tui was quietly preparing to invite her. Niu Xiaoying accidentally mistook Chang Tui's invitation letter for one from Lu Xiaolu and was very happy.

Chang Tui didn't want to make her sad and could only quietly teach her how to dance. When the Mid-Autumn Festival arrived, Lu Xiaolu waited early at the entrance of the skating rink, but Bai Lan showed no sign of coming. Lu Dajiang encouraged Lu Xiaolu to be more proactive and not miss his chance like he had. Lu Xiaolu still waited at the entrance and unexpectedly saw Bai Lan leave in Bi Zhigang's car! The party soon began.

Qin Juan and Li Guangnan had a great time. Niu Xiaoying came to find Lu Xiaolu, but Lu Xiaolu was completely out of sorts. After hearing that the prize was animal crackers, Lu Xiaolu remembered how Bai Lan had mentioned getting into a fight with a child at the orphanage because there were no animal crackers. In the end, he took the crackers and went to find Bai Lan.

At this time, Bai Lan was doing translation work at the reception. Bi Zhigang also talked to Bai Lan about how Lu Xiaolu had lost to him under the condition that Bai Lan would return to the Second Light Industry Bureau, his tone filled with disdain for Lu Xiaolu. Bai Lan, however, was very angry and left directly! As soon as she went out, she bumped into Lu Xiaolu, who was being stopped outside!

Back at the party, Qin Juan thanked Li Guangnan for helping her save face in front of Lu Xiaolu. Li Guangnan said he genuinely liked Qin Juan. Qin Juan said Li Guangnan couldn't give her what she wanted. Li Guangnan said Qin Juan was vain, and they had a big argument! Niu Xiaoying was isolated because her dancing skills were poor.

Encouraged by Lu Dajiang, Chang Tui approached Niu Xiaoying and used his own way to tap out the beat for her. The two happily danced! At the same time, Lu Xiaolu and Bai Lan were also dancing!
