Their guide, Duo Ji, dropped them off in the city, wishing them well and expressing his belief that they were meant to be together. Duo Ji's words deeply resonated with Feng Rui, who had spent years trying to forget Tan Siting, only to realize he never truly could.
Now, having found her again, he knew he couldn't let her go. Later that evening at the hotel, both Feng Rui and Tan Siting found themselves unable to sleep. They encountered each other when leaving their rooms and decided to take a walk together. Feng Rui initiated a conversation about their past, asking if she regretted abandoning him and Le.
He recounted what he believed to be her breakup letter, in which she stated ballet was more important to her than their love and asked him to pretend they had never loved each other. Tan Siting, shocked, then revealed the truth: his mother, Gao Hui, had told her that Le had died. Tan Siting then shared her side of the story, explaining that she had been in a terrible state, both physically and mentally.
Her father had disappeared, and Feng Rui was constantly busy abroad. Overwhelmed by self-hatred and convinced her stubbornness had cost her child, she was advised by Gao Hui to leave Feng Rui. Seeing it as a way to preserve her dignity, Tan Siting agreed, unaware that Feng Rui knew nothing of this arrangement. It was only after a lengthy recovery that she went to France to resume her ballet dream. She confessed that she had tried to tell Feng Rui, but he was too busy, and she believed telling him would only cause him more trouble, so she let time handle it, hoping it would bring a better answer.
Feng Rui then revealed that he had desperately searched for her after her departure, but her family had moved, and he was told by his mother to give up and return to the company. Reflecting on their past, Feng Rui admitted that both of them had tried to act in the other's best interest but failed to follow their own hearts. He then looked into Tan Siting's eyes and asked if she still loved him, proposing they get back together.

He revealed that he had known about her return and had arranged for her to rent that specific apartment, which was conveniently located near his winery, all so he could be closer to her.
Tan Siting playfully accused him of being jealous when he mentioned her boyfriend Wang Zeyuan often visited. They then discussed the challenge of breaking the news to Gao Hui and eventually to Le. Tan Siting insisted on telling Le herself. Meanwhile, Wang Shuhan started her new job as a project manager at a company that recently acquired land for a large stadium project.
She proudly brought her parents to the construction site to show them the ambitious project, which involved building a large stadium for various domestic and international sports events on a site previously occupied by unfinished buildings. Her parents, especially her father, expressed skepticism about her ability to handle such a role after many years out of the workforce. Her mother, however, encouraged her to prove them wrong. Later, Wang Shuhan was sharing the news with her boyfriend, Wang Zeyuan, who mistakenly thought she had been rejected by Tan Siting, which was a misunderstanding. Feng Rui returned home and told his mother, Gao Hui, that he and Wen Peiyan had broken up and that he was back with Tan Siting. Gao Hui was shocked and accused him of being blinded by love again, arguing that he was hurting Wen Peiyan.
Feng Rui asserted that their marriage should be built on true love and not lies, unlike his parents' loveless marriage. He said that continuing a relationship built on pretense would hurt Wen Peiyan more in the long run. He then confronted his mother about why she had hidden the fact that Le was born safely. Gao Hui defended her actions, recalling that Tan Siting had suffered from severe prenatal depression, which posed risks to both her and the baby.
She described how Tan Siting had refused to eat and how, despite Gao Hui's efforts to get her to have fish head soup, her condition was unstable, and she had experienced placental abruption. Gao Hui claimed the baby's birth was sudden, and Tan Siting was too unwell to care for him. She said she was grateful Le had grown up healthy. Gao Hui angrily dismissed any connection, reminding Feng Rui that she had once warned him about Tan Siting's family possibly blackmailing his uncle, Gao Haotian, and now him. Feng Rui retorted that Gao Hui simply refused to accept that Gao Haotian was a rapist. Gao Hui furiously declared that she would never allow Feng Rui to be with Tan Siting and that she would not let Tan Siting acknowledge Le.
Feng Rui remained firm, stating that no child would refuse their birth mother, and declared his intention to marry Tan Siting. Gao Hui, feeling defied, vowed, "We'll see about that." Feng Rui then went to Le's room to break the news about the canceled wedding. Le, initially thinking it was another business trip, remained calm upon hearing Feng Rui and Wen Peiyan had broken up. Le revealed that he knew Wen Peiyan was sad about the breakup, not sick, and praised her kindness to both him and his father. He urged Feng Rui to talk to her and explain everything clearly. Meanwhile, news broke about the escalating "Gao Haotian incident," revealing that he had been attempting to rape an employee before his accidental fall from a building. The scandal led to Tianlu Trade's overseas suppliers suspending cooperation, casting a shadow over the company's future. Feng Rui received a call from Mr. Yang, who, while offering condolences, requested to postpone his wine orders due to the negative public opinion surrounding the incident.
Feng Rui understood and agreed to halt all transactions for the time being. He then instructed his team to turn off their phones, as the media speculated on the uncertain fate of the city's largest private group.
