Jiang Ge seeks out Lin Qi, who is practicing violin in a classroom, which Jiang Ge playfully calls "underground music." He asks for Lin Qi’s musical ideas for the show "Flaming Youth." Lin Qi outlines a dynamic approach, suggesting a synthesizer for a strong bass, an electric guitar for melody, and percussive elements like a bell to create rhythm, evoking the "fire" theme without being overly energetic. Impressed, Jiang Ge immediately commissions Lin Qi for the composition.
After a brief negotiation where Lin Qi first mentions "concepts" before stating a price, Jiang Ge agrees to pay 20,000 yuan. Lin Qi accepts, suggesting their collaboration is fated. Meanwhile, the firefighters watch the latest episode of "Flaming Youth." Yu Qilei tries to message his wife, Milan, about the station's "reunion plan" that would allow their daughter Miaomiao to visit, but he receives no reply, though he downplays it to his colleagues as a minor tiff.
Other firefighters discover they have online Super Topics and jokingly discuss becoming internet celebrities, while Liu Ruyi is annoyed by a comment calling his muscles "disgusting." Lin Qi asks his brother, Lin Luxiao, if there is something going on between him and Nan Chu, but Lin Luxiao dismisses it as being for "entertainment purposes." Backstage, Xu Zhiyi and Yan Dai express their frustration over Nan Chu's significantly higher screen time, feeling like "extras" in her shadow.
They believe Nan Chu is unfairly favored by Lin Luxiao, Jiang Ge, and the company executives, prompting Yan Dai to decide she must fight for more visibility. Mr. Shen congratulates the artists on the show's success, highlighting Nan Chu's popularity. The company director, Mr. Han, arrives and confirms the plan to leverage Nan Chu's fame by steering her career toward film and television.
Nan Chu agrees to the company's arrangements but requests to keep some time for her Dream Dance Club, which Mr. Han agrees to coordinate. Meanwhile, Yan Dai, exhausted from a lack of rest, allows the makeup artist Xi Gu to do her makeup at Xu Zhiyi's suggestion. She suddenly suffers a severe allergic reaction and furiously accuses Xi Gu of sabotage, demanding to know who put her up to it.
Xu Zhiyi escalates the situation by implying it was intentional and suggesting they call the police. Nan Chu arrives and, to prove Xi Gu's innocence, has Xi Gu apply the same products to her own face, showing no adverse reaction. She tells Xu Zhiyi they are there to film a show, not to engage in "palace drama," and advises Yan Dai to get medical attention.
After Yan Dai is sent to the hospital, Xu Zhiyi further fuels her resentment by suggesting Nan Chu is deeply manipulative and used the incident to impress Mr. Han. Yan Dai becomes more upset when Mr. Shen only approves one day of leave for her severe allergy. To create an opportunity for Liu Ruyi, Yang Zhengang sends him to the hospital to arrange first-aid training with Dr. Xia Wan.
Liu Ruyi dresses up for the visit but is too shy to ask Dr. Xia out. After she agrees to come to the station, he offers her a ride, which she declines. As she leaves, she teasingly tells him his new hairstyle is nice but that he shouldn't do it again. Dr. Xia arrives at the fire station to conduct the first-aid training. As she demonstrates CPR, Nan Chu fantasizes about performing it on Lin Luxiao.
Dr. Xia then uses Liu Ruyi as a volunteer to demonstrate bandaging techniques. During practice, Nan Chu is partnered with Jiang Ge, but Lin Luxiao criticizes her "ugly" bandaging and steps in to personally correct her technique for tying knots. Observing Nan Chu receiving attention, Xu Zhiyi and Yan Dai's jealousy intensifies. At Yan Dai’s urging, Xu Zhiyi devises a plan. She approaches Xi Gu, framing it as a chance to reconcile with Yan Dai.
After Xi Gu apologizes, Xu Zhiyi and Yan Dai have her lie on a stretcher for a practice drill, which they then deliberately drop, causing Xi Gu to fall. Nan Chu rushes to defend Xi Gu, confronting Xu Zhiyi and Yan Dai for targeting her. The argument escalates until Nan Chu is pushed down and injures her knee. Lin Luxiao immediately stops the drill, reprimands the group, and takes Nan Chu to the infirmary.
Although the show's staff see the conflict as a dramatic "selling point," Jiang Ge unexpectedly orders them to delete all footage of the argument. In the infirmary, Lin Luxiao meticulously cleans Nan Chu's wound with hydrogen peroxide and applies a pungent "folk remedy" that he claims promotes fast healing. When Yang Zhengang stops by to check on Nan Chu, he remarks on how attentive Lin Luxiao is.
Nan Chu feels guilty about losing her temper and offers to apologize, but Lin Luxiao reassures her that she did nothing wrong. Later, Lin Luxiao pulls Xu Zhiyi aside and confronts her about targeting Nan Chu and Xi Gu. Xu Zhiyi feigns innocence, claiming it was a misunderstanding. Lin Luxiao sternly warns her that his station's only focus is firefighting and that he will immediately expel anyone who engages in "tricks and ploys" or stirs up interpersonal conflict.
Afterward, Xu Zhiyi lies to the others, claiming Lin Luxiao praised her performance and encouraged her to keep up the good work. While escorting Dr. Xia home, Liu Ruyi again struggles to ask her out. Unexpectedly, Dr. Xia asks him directly if he likes her, saying she was just confirming. She then invites him to work out with her at a new gym sometime. A stunned and overjoyed Liu Ruyi eagerly agrees.
He returns to the station too flustered to speak, telling his curious colleagues he's going to the gym to "get some peace and quiet." They are left to piece together what happened by reading a note he scribbled, which reveals Dr. Xia's question and invitation, leading them to conclude he is completely smitten.
